Scripture reference: Ephesians 3:9-12 (TPT)
Hello, everybody. Thank you for joining this special broadcast, late in the evening, just before we hit New Year. Ordinarily, I’m really not that phazed about an old Year’s Eve, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s kind of setup, because in my day, my life, in my world, I’m much more focused on how I use my energy every day, to the glory of God. Whether there’s a clock that tells me one calendar year has changed from 2020, to 2021, in my whole life, I’ve never really been that concerned about a few minutes, either way that causes people to have great parties and whatever.
However, I have become aware over these years that people like to use these moments for gatherings. In these gatherings, they generally have wild celebrations, and huge parties and often people go a bit crazy. Because I’ve always had eternity in my heart and I’ve always, even from when I was a young boy, I’ve always considered myself as an eternal being, momentarily hosted by this body.
It really sounds strange when I tell you, that as a young teenager, I already knew the Bible, that God said that He put eternity in our hearts and that, actually, I see my whole existence as being eternal. And really, in Christ, I’m eternally alive forever. So, what is the real big deal about, you know, 1, 10 second calendar, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, “Happy New Year.” Then you ever party for another five minutes after that. Then it’s like, you know, people in the world, they just keep drinking.
So, it’s an excuse to have a celebration and have a party. Okay, I get it. I want to label this particular session with you, this evening as The Gatherings. Whoo, that sounds really heavy, but The Gatherings. Why do I want to talk about The Gatherings? Because here’s all the people, making decisions to gather together and have a celebration, have a party because a clock is ticking. Everybody generally has this mindset. That year is gone, a new year has come and everybody sets new goals, resets their clock, if you like, internally, their mental clock, their relational clock, their business clock, everybody’s resetting themselves, because this next year is going to be a better year.
Some people even make new years, pledges or they have new year vows or they have new years sets of goals that they’re going to set for themselves. Some call it resolutions. Well, if you are resolute about setting something new, then you don’t need a clock to tell you to be resolute. Hence, I’m going to speak momentarily about The Gatherings.
If you read the Bible, you will know in Hebrews 12, He talks about, there is a great gathering, a cloud of witnesses that are witnessing what we as believers are doing on the earth. They don’t witness all of our rubbish that we do, our non-Christ related things that we do, but there are witnesses to everything that our faith and our courage in faith and our boldness in faith is doing.
So, there is a gathering, that gathering, that cloud of witnesses is watching us day and night. They’re already living in eternal beings, watching what we do with our faith. The gatherings of people on the earth, at given times for given purposes. What do you think happens when people gather together and they don’t include God in their gathering? Who is attracted to their craziness, who is attracted and what is attracted, to all of their nonsense that they do?
In beaches, in wild parties, in big cities… What do you think’s going on when lots of people gather to celebrate and go crazy? Well, there are spiritual forces that are gathering because the people gather, and they gather to create mischief, they gather to create human destruction. Wild things are set loose on these occasions.
I want to read to you from Ephesians, in the Passion Translation, and I read to you from verse nine, and the Apostle Paul says this, 9My passion is to enlighten every person to this divine mystery. It was hidden for ages past until now, and kept a secret in the heart of God, the Creator of all. God is the Creator of all, but He has made the secret known to us. 10The purpose of this was to unveil before every throne and rank of angelic orders some translations say, heavenly principalities and powers, in the heavenly realm God’s full and diverse wisdom revealed through the church. (Ephesians 3:9-10 TPT)
So now, if you’re listening to me, at this time of the night, on this occasion, then you and I, at least, where two or three are gathered, there, Jesus is in the midst. Even though you may be watching by way of television, or the internet, or some other device, we are talking about Jesus, therefore we are a church, and we are gathering together right now. We demonstrate to the heavenly realms, to every angelic being and any other spiritual being, that we, in this moment in time, choose Jesus. That’s powerful.
It’s great news, that even in this clock ticking time of humans, we are gathering to give God glory. We are not gathering to be crazy and to have craziness in our lives. We are gathering to be God centered and God oriented. I want to continue reading and it says 11This perfectly wise plan was destined from eternal ages and fulfilled completely in our Lord Jesus Christ, so that now 12we have boldness through him, we have boldness through Him, and free access as kings before the Father because of our complete confidence in Christ’s faithfulness. (Ephesians 3:11-12 TPT)
Here we are, we are gathered together, we have confidence, we have boldness, we have access to the Father, and we can come with the confidence that kings have. We can come into the presence of God with boldness, because of Jesus. What an amazing revelation that we can come into the presence of God, any time of day, any time of night, any clock ticking, New Year, any clock ticking old year, anytime. Where men are putting time on calendars to actually celebrate and to set new resolutions, we press into God with confidence and boldness. What happens when we do that? The eternal mysteries get revealed to us in our hearts.
And so 13My dear friends, he says, I pray that you will remain strong and not be discouraged or ashamed by all that I suffer on your behalf, for it is for your glory. (Ephesians 3:13 TPT) He’s just saying there, and I would like you to agree with me now that you, my friends, be strong, remain strong, and do not be discouraged. Do not be ashamed by anything or anybody, whether it be another Christian that is going through tribulation, or you yourself, that has been through some trouble, in 2020.
I’d like to just declare to you that the Lord has spoken and given me a Word for 2021. I have been declaring it for some time already. When I say 2021, it’s a season that we’re going into that has already started as way back as far as October, November of 2020, in the time of men. He has already been speaking to me and saying, “John, it’s time for boldness and it’s a time to go big, and to have that faith to Go Big and Go Bold in God, and in our Lord, Jesus Christ.”
I want to say to you, that there is this boldness and this confidence, that we have because of Christ’s faithfulness, that even though 2020 might be something that was negative for a lot of people, for us Heritage of Faith people, 2020 has been a magnificent year. God has opened many doors, He has given us great momentum. He has, literally given us opportunity through lockdown in many areas of our ministry, to actually accomplish in one year, what would have taken 10 years. God opened many doors and it’s just been marvelous. There’s so many of them, I can’t even begin to speak about them. I thank God, that this is the case. So, when He began to speak to me, “John, I want you to go bigger, and I want you to go bold, I want you to Go Big and Go Bold have confidence, I’m with you in whatever you are going to go into.”
That is a great Word, that you can stake your life on because as you go big and as you go bold, it’s because He said it. It’s based on this scripture right here, when He said, we have boldness through Him, and they’re free access as kings. In other words, be bold as kings are bold, spend resources, go after new territories, and become things and do things and be extravagant in the way that you approach life.
So, as 12we have boldness through him, and free access as kings before the Father because of our complete confidence in Christ’s faithfulness. (Ephesians 3:12 TPT) I have complete confidence in Christ’s faithfulness. On top of that, I want to just declare to you that Brother Jerry Savelle, has had a word for us for 2021. He talks quite a lot about, that this is going to be A Year of Overflow. His word of Abundant Overflow in 2021, goes directly and connects with what the Lord said to me – Go Big and Go Bold. We are going to experience Abundant Overflow.
I know that Brother Copeland in one of his messages has also spoken, and declared that 2021 is going to be a year of God’s Blessing On The Local Church. That’s good news for us also. I just want to read to you a part of the message that Brother Jerry has spoken. He said, Yes, a new era is here. It’s already begun, and I plan marvelous things for you in 2021. Abundant overflow is the order of the day, so rest assured, it’s on its way. Your adversary can’t stop what I’ve already decreed, so stay in faith and get ready to receive. Allow no one to discourage you, The prophetic word for Brother Jerry says,
Yes, a new era is here. It’s already begun,
and I plan marvelous things for you in 2021.
Abundant overflow is the order of the day,
so rest assured, it’s on its way.
Your adversary can’t stop what I’ve already decreed,
So stay in faith and get ready to receive.
Allow no one to discourage you by what they say,
just keep looking to Me, and I’ll have My way.
That’s the Scripture, the prophetic word goes on and on, but it says essentially, this is your theme for 2021. The Abundant Overflow, and it’s already begun. There are some other things that are spoken about in this particular message. I feel I want to just share this with you: A great shaking, a great shifting, a great displacing, will take place in your nation, meaning our nation here in South Africa. Then immediately following this, there will come a great awakening and a great outpouring. This is what you are to be watching for and what you are to be expecting, as you are entering into 2021.
Here we are, entering into 2021 by the time calendar of men and I say to you, that there is a gathering of angelic hosts and angelic forces, there is a gathering of spirit beings in Christ Jesus, that have access to the Father, that can be bold and have confidence because of the faithfulness of our Lord. I want to say to you, this is a moment, right now, if you’re awake, and you’re listening to this, at this time of the night. I want to say to you, or maybe you watch this the next morning, on New Year’s Day, I want to say to you either way, this is a year 2021. This is a season, this is a time, and those of you that have been, who know me and have been around me for a while, if a prophetic word comes out, we keep speaking it for years and years after it’s been spoken because I don’t see it as a prophetic word just as a limited time. I see it as a word that God speaks into our life force, our energies, so that He can accomplish things that He wants to accomplish.
If you keep speaking it and you keep believing it, God will keep doing it. The Word of God, the prophetic word is just a starting point for God to do things for us and bring things into the earth on our behalf and to accomplish things for us. So, even though something was spoken in 2010, or 2002, we, Pastor Sharon and I, and this ministry, we keep track of those words. Every now and again, we’ll go back and keep speaking them because we believe that the word will be productive, and keep growing and keep expanding and keep making things happen.
I want to say to you, as I finish this conversation, and this moment with you, I trust you’ve enjoyed the praise and worship, the sound, the sound and song that God has prepared for us to enjoy in this time. I pray that 2021 will be everything that God has declared it to be for you, for your family, for all those around you that will join you in agreement that 2021 is going to be a year to Go Big and Go Bold.
2021 is going to be a year of Abundant Overflow. 2021 in the time of men, is going to be a year where the Local Churches are going to flourish and thrive. I say, “Join us. Let’s join our faith together. I joined my faith with yours, you join faith with me. Let’s go into this new season with confidence and, and great strength because of the faithful Jesus that is our Lord and Savior.” Thank you for joining me and we’ll see you soon. God bless you.
