Pastor John Bendixen:

Glory. Hallelujah. Isn’t it amazing that the King James uses different language, but I mean the King James says; suffer not the little children to come to Me. Essentially what the Bible is saying, don’t prevent children from coming to Me. Yes. And, you know, one would think that in a church that’s got a number of people in it, that maybe you don’t give as much time to the children because they’re not adults yet. But actually, what they’re doing is going to change their lives forever. Forever and ever. Hallelujah. And that’s the faithfulness of God. That’s the faithfulness of God. Praise Jesus. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Thank You, Lord. Thank you for every person that prays the prayer of salvation. Every person who gives their heart to You, who dedicates their life from little to old. We thank You for them, in Jesus’ name. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Amen.

You may be seated, but before you sit down, just say, “I’m glad you’re in church,” to somebody this morning. I’m glad you’re in church. And you may be seated. Really? Wow. Amen. Praise the Lord. Well, I mean, we don’t have to say much you all know about giving, let’s take up an offering. Thank you, Pastor Justin. Hallelujah. Praise Jesus. The Word of God is the truth, the Word of God is the truth, people. The Word of God is the truth. Amen. I’m going to use this moment just to reflect with you, remember in March, beginning of March, the Lord said through this vessel that there would be crisis and chaos? But if we will keep our eyes open, it will not come near us. And in recent times, the Lord’s been very clear that, actually, opportunities are going to present themselves to us. And I’m going to encourage you more that if you do whatever you can to accumulate cash, get rid of debt, if you can, or make sure you’re ahead in one way or another, because I think there’s opportunities coming. Don’t be surprised. Now, don’t be surprised if there’s more chaos and crisis that’s coming down the road.

Do you know that I think it was last week, I think it was last week, you know, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. There were major stock exchange drops in the US and Japan and other places that actually were some of the worst days that they’ve experienced in many, many, many years. Do you all know about that? Sounds like you don’t know about that. Well, in fact, many, many market analysts were saying that, you know, this is really, really a bad day and panic, literally panic, set in into the stock markets around the world. Panic set in and people were selling their stocks. I’m open to correction because there were many stock exchange that I was just watching on the news to see what was going on. But some of the stock markets dropped by 5%, some of them a bit more than that. Japan had a really, really bad day. And there are indications that the possibility of this getting worse is going to happen. Now if that happens, there’s going to be lots of opportunities. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Hier kom Willie de la Ray. Meneer de la Rey van die vlei. Sersant Majoor de la Rey. For years I’ve called him Sergeant Major de la Ray. Hoe gaan dit Willie? Altyd goed. Ek is bly.

Don’t you want to just stretch your hands here. We thank You, Lord, for seed to sow, and we thank You Lord for blessing our lives in health, in relationships, in finances, in so much goodness that You give to us in our lives. We thank You. We bless You, Lord. We glorify Your name. It’s our honour to give to You because You are the One that blesses our lives. And we thank You, Father, that You multiply this and You give us many opportunities to have seed for eating and seed for sowing. We thank You for it in Jesus’ name. And all of you agree by saying? Amen. Hallelujah. Thank you, Willie. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

If you want to have a traumatic experience, then you need to go into Africa and ride behind Wille de la Rey in his Toyota bakkie in Africa on a mission’s trip. I mean, Wille de la Ray drives or used to, I don’t know if he’s like that anymore. But he used to drive only one of two speeds. His bakkie was either stopped, or it was going flat out through Africa. Mind you, I didn’t mind it too much. I quite enjoyed the speed. But you can’t have Bertus Kruger sitting in your car with you because he doesn’t look at the speedometer. He’s got a special GPS thing that monitors how fast you’re going. And then from time to time, Bertus is saying, “I can see how fast you’re going Pastor John.” I said, ”Switch that thing off. I don’t want to know. I’m right behind Wille. Look how fast Wille’s going.” I mean, we’ve had occasions, I think Pastor Lynn was with us on that trip when we … Were you with us when we were going to Malawi? In Malawi? Yeah. I don’t remember exactly but I remember Bertus, we were trying to get to Mzuzu before dark. Sheesh. And Willie said, “We’re going to get there before dark no matter what.” Donkeys, cows don’t matter. We’re gonna get to Mzuzu before dark. It’s quite an experience, I can tell you. Praise Jesus. Hallelujah.

Well, isn’t it wonderful what God did on Friday? In the union of Luke and Esther? Wasn’t it amazing? Wasn’t it just a beautiful, wonderful, most wonderful, glorious thing that God has done? Amen. If you come to Message Moments today, I probably won’t have makeup on my face. You’ll see my eye is red here. It’s quite red. I asked them to put makeup on my face so that they could hide the red on my eye. You might see it tonight. Because I suggested to Luke that he delay going on honeymoon to come to the men’s camp. He had a reflex action, “Get out of my way, Pastor John.” No. No. That was just because of cycling and something that had happened and anyway, praise the Lord. It’s been a marvellous thing, and I want to just take the opportunity to thank the iXchangers, all the people that did such amazing work. The A team, the iXchangers, all the people that are here that have given their time, given their energy, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You guys are amazing. I wanted to share this with you. I know that you got a message via WhatsApp from the Kruger’s and the Caveney’s, from Luke and Ester, thanking you for your work and they said this in their WhatsApp. And I want to repeat it to you, that you have all sown seed into your future. And whatever God’s got for you in your future, you’ve sowed into their marriage, their relationship, and their event so God can bless you in your event. And whatever God’s got for you. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank you all for attending and for enjoying such an amazing, wonderful day. I feel like we’re all still basking in the glow of the fellowship and the glory and the anointing of God and what He’s continuing to do amongst us. Don’t you just feel His peace, His joy, His glory that’s upon everything. Amen. Hallelujah.

Well, it’s my privilege to have Pastor Justin Bridges here from the USA, and he, of course, as you know, he’s the pastor of Heritage of Faith Christian Center, Crowley. And his son, Bryn, is joining us for a while in the iXchange program. Welcome, Bryn. He’s Bryn with a single ‘n’. My Brynn was with a double ‘n’. Hallelujah. So, we’re glad to have him, but pastor Justin is going to minister to us this morning, and he can do whatever he likes. This pulpit is his, we are in covenant. We are brothers. We are in the Lord together, and he’s going to bring the word to us. Won’t you welcome Pastor Justin to the pulpit, please?

Pastor Justin Bridges:

Thank you, Pastor John. How’s everyone this morning? Hallelujah. You know, what an honour and a privilege it is, thank you, Pastor John, thank you, Pastor Sharon, for just allowing me to minister to this house, to this Heritage of Faith congregation. I count it a great joy and I count it a great honour. And I also want to thank all the iXchangers and those that have taken care of us. I want to thank Miranda and everyone that’s blessed us while we’ve been here. Thank you for serving us the way that you have. And I love knowing that the same heart and spirit of hospitality that’s on this house is also on our house in Crowley, Texas. Amen. Amen.

You know, as I stand here, I’m kind of overwhelmed. I want to send greetings on behalf of Pastor Annette. She wants me to tell you she loves you. So wrap your arms around you like this [Pastor Justin demonstrating hugging himself. Give yourself a big hug. You’re going to kinda rock back and forth like that. You know? So that’s a hug from her to you. And, but I’m overjoyed with the opportunity to be here today. And I stand on this platform, and as I was preparing and got home from spending some time with Pastor John yesterday, I sensed a shift in my heart on what I was supposed to share with you. I was going to share some things along the lines of what I had ministered back in Texas, and I have been sharing about the peace of God. And so, I just felt a shift in my heart, and the Lord really wanted me to minister on legacy today. And I know that is something you have heard a lot about here. Right? And so, I am overwhelmed and overjoyed to stand on this platform in the nation of Africa.

You know, I go back a number of years, and some of you heard some of my testimony the last time I was here, and I told you the things I declared when I was sick in my body. And I declared, “I love You, Lord. I love You, Lord. I love You, Lord.” And remember I told that story, if you were here or not. But in the process of declaring to God from, “I love You” to “I love You, Lord,” I experienced God, and I had healing in my body, and it forever changed my life. And I look back and you know, I think you call it markers. You know, markers. And you know, how through different seasons and periods of time when God had done things in your life, and you can go back and you can say, those were markers. I remember growing up not really necessarily having a concern or a passion for God. But yet, even though I didn’t, I could look back as a child, and I could see moments that I know God was endeavouring to intersect with my destiny. Intersecting with my life, whether I would make the choice to allow that marker to make a shift in my life or not, was a different question.

Because I can go back to even being a young child, at 6 to 7 years of age. And there was a lady, you may see her on TBN from time to time. I don’t know much about her ministry, but her name now is Karen Wheaton. And at that time, she was Karen Harris and they were in a singing group that would travel the United States, called Festival of Praise. And they would have host homes. And she actually stayed in our home. Well, that particular time when she was ministering at our church, I was 6, 7 years of age, and she, for some reason, called me out of the congregation and sang a song over my life. And I don’t know, I can’t remember what she sang, but I remember experiencing something that I didn’t know how to describe, and it was what I would call now, the presence of God. And what she was singing to me, I don’t know the words, but I know it was something that I know God was marking me in the spirit.

We can fast forward a little bit, 10, 11, I think it was probably closer to 12 to 13. I was at another church event, and you know, I really didn’t have a concern for the things of God. Didn’t really care about the things of God. I went to church because my parents did. And on that particular service is what we would call a camp meeting, and it was a week long set of services. And on that particular service, they called all the young people up, and were going to pray over the young people. And I was reluctant to go. I didn’t want to go, but I’m standing by my parents, and my mom is pretty much shoving me out of the aisle. You need to go. And I’m like, I don’t want to go. And it was this tug of war, like, you know, you’re going whether you like it or not. And, so I went up there, and I remember having my eyes closed. And I can even today, I can look down at the ground in that moment, and I could see the red carpet that I was looking at. And yet, I had my eyes closed, and after looking down, I’m like, “Oh, I can’t wait for this to be over.” You know, I just want to go back to my seat. And standing there, they would have ministers come and pray for us. And to this day, I remember it was a man on my left side and a woman on my right side having their hand on my shoulder and I’m like having my eyes closed. And the gentleman looks at the… I don’t know if he looked, but I could tell he spoke in that direction and said that this young man’s going to be a preacher. And she looked and I could tell she talked back to the gentleman behind me and said, “The Lord told me the same thing.” And as they said that, tears came down my face. But it was something that marked me, but it’s not something at that point I made a decision to pursue God in that moment, but yet I can look back and I can see that it was a marker in my life.

We can fast forward to 17 years of age. I was definitely running from God. I was definitely running from wanting anything to do with God, anything to do with the Kingdom, and I remember my mom dragged me to another one of the church services. And there was this gentleman there, and he operated in what they would call the prophetic, he was a psalmist. He would get on a piano, and he would just sing prophetic songs. And all of a sudden, this presence of God would come in, and you would just weep. And then sometimes he would get off the piano and he would just walk up and down the aisles, and all of a sudden he’d have words for people. And so he’d be over here and talking to someone, and I’m going, “Lord, please don’t come over. Lord, please.” You know, and I’m thinking like, all the things I did last night, all the things I’ve done in the last several weeks, and, “Lord, you know, please, in front of 200 people, don’t expose my sin.” And the more and more he come to my side, the more and more I kind of go in the aisle. And like, I mean, I go farther in. And also, I would just if I keep my eyes closed, I just – this moment will pass. This moment will pass. And, so eventually, he walks down the aisle. But I don’t know this. And he’s coming to me, and I’m sitting probably kind of in this row over here, kind of right in the middle of this row, four seats in. I’m sitting in that seat with my head [Pastor Justin bows his head]. I’m like, “Please don’t come to me. Please don’t come to me. Please don’t come to me.” And he walks over. Stand up for a second. [Pastor Justin asks Yatteere to stand]. He walks over and all of a sudden, I open my eyes and he’s right here. And he grabs me by my neck, and he looked at me.  And he goes, “Beware of the calling of God to come clear.” He goes, “From this day forward, you’re a marked man.” And he said, “What a difference you’ll make in their lives.” And he sang that old song, what a difference you’ll make in their lives.

And you would think after a moment like that, and there was so much more he said to me before you’re a marked man, that no one else knew about me but me. No one knew the different secret places of my heart, no one knew the things that were going on inside of me at that time, but yet it marked me. So no matter what I did and where I went, the Holy Spirit would draw me back to that moment. I remember probably six months after that, I don’t necessarily say this as to be funny or to say this as to being to exalt this particular lifestyle. But I remember being around all my friends. I graduated high school, and we’re all sitting around, “What are you going to do with your life?” And everyone’s telling, “Well, I’m going to go here,” and “I’m going to go there.” And then for me, I didn’t have any direction in my life. But at this time, we’re in the backyard of my parents’ house. My parents are out of town and I’m sitting there, and I’m smoking weed. I’m smoking weed, marijuana. Get the picture. And we’re all our friends, and we called them blunts at the time, and if anyone knows what those are. And we’re passing blunts around. I’m going somewhere with this story. So everyone’s telling what they’re going to do, and it came to me. And out of the blue I go, “I’m going to be a preacher.” I don’t know where that came from. But then moments that marked my life and because I kept pursuing my life, pursuing what I wanted, pursuing a life of drugs, pursuing a life of whatever you might want to label it. I got to a point where I had no vision, I had no direction, had no future, even to a point where my health had deteriorated to where I had that encounter with God that I told you about the last time I ministered here.

God’s got a plan for each one of you, and it doesn’t matter where you might find yourself right now, but I guarantee you, there’s things that He’s marked your life with in your journey that the Lord will continue to bring you back to and always say, “Don’t forget about this.” Even in the midst of running from God, in the midst of parting with my friends, there was something in me that was crying out for my legacy. And you have to surrender to that legacy.

Number of years after that, I got on fire for God, got into a good church, Word of Faith Church, learned the Word, and it got to a point where there was something shifting in my life, and it was time for, God was shifting me into a new direction. I was working in sales and marketing for a company making good money at a young age, and the Lord said, “I want you to leave this. I want you to leave Maryland, and I want you to go to Texas.” Well, I need to back up for a second. I met Doctor Savelle in November of 1998. He came to my church in Maryland, and I had the opportunity, the honour, the privilege to drive him, never having met him before, to drive him to a meeting to actually, he came to my town to do a wedding, and I had the opportunity to drive him from the reception back to his hotel. Little did I know, from 1998 to 2024, I would now be pastoring his church. In that short drive with him, he looked over at me and said, “Have you ever thought about coming to Texas?” Honestly, it never crossed my mind. But, that comment woke me up, would be on my mind constantly. “Have you thought about coming to Texas?” By the end of November, I just just went to my mom, “You know what? I want to go out and visit Texas.” January 23rd, theweek of, it was January, 3rd week in January of 1999. Went out there and came and actually had some friends that lived there. Was in their apartment one day. They were at work, I was at their apartment, and I said, “Lord, I know …” I just had this overwhelming sense that it was time to seek the Lord. You know, it’s time, you’re not here by accident. This is a holy moment. And as I stood up in their living room and I started worshipping the Lord and I’m like, “God, why am I here? Why am I here? Why am I here?” And I was like, “Lord, I know there’s so much more than what I’m doing in my life,” and I look back at all those encounters that I had with God even though I was running from him. “What’s going on?” And the heaviness, the glory of God came in that living room and put me down on the ground. So heavy that I was in God’s presence, and it was so heavy that I couldn’t get off the floor. And I heard the voice of God, and He said, “Justin,” He goes, “I brought you here for such a time as this.” He goes, “You will be in Texas for the majority of the rest of your life.” After the presence lifted, I got up, and I was like, “Lord, how? How am I going to get here? How are You going to bring me to Texas? I’ve got all this. I’ve got all these commitments, these things that people are relying on, people are trusting in me, my pastor here and all that. And He said this, “Justin, if you take care,” because there were a lot of financial hindrances to come. And He goes, “Justin, if you take care of the obedience, I’ll take care of the impossible.” And from that moment, there was something that shifted in me – that all of a sudden now I had faith that I could fulfil and step into this next season for my life. I wasn’t planning on taking as long with the story, but I believe the Spirit of God is ministering.

I got to the end of February after that encounter, starting then, I actually set a date on the calendar, August 11th. Because Bible school started the 1st September, and so I looked at the calendar and I was like, “Lord, when’s my last day at work going to be?” August 11th. Wow. Today is August 11th, isn’t it? Just realised that. August 11th will be my last day at work. And I was like, what do I tell people? And so, I had about 250 clients, and then I would see them and different clients every day. So, every day, every week I saw those 250 clients, and I had great relationships with my clients. I loved them, they loved me and a lot of them had five-year contracts, so I’d been there five years. So, this was like these were close relationships. They knew me, they knew I was a believer. They knew my life. They knew things I’d gone through and so forth. And so the first person that asked me, I said, “I’m leaving and I’m leaving work.” “When are you leaving?” “August 11th.” They’re like, “Wow, that’s, you’re pretty much giving a long notice, right?” And they were like, “Well, what are you going to do?” “Well, I’m going to go to Bible school, and then I’m going to Africa.” I’m going to Bible school, so everyone is, “What are you going to do?” Well actually, I said, “I’m going to Texas, I’m going to Bible school, and I’m going to Africa.” So, from February to August 11th, every one of my clients had asked me, “What are you going to do?” “I’m going to Texas, I’m going to Bible school, and I’m going to Africa.” Guess what? I’m in Africa. And I’ve been in Africa many times. Legacy. Little did I know, those steps of obedience, even when things didn’t make sense up here [Pastor Justin points his head], and you still follow that, you’ll stand in your dream. Legacy.

Let’s go to Hebrews chapter 11. Hebrews chapter 11. Is it alright to follow the Holy Spirit this morning? Well, I’m going anyway. Can you say legacy? [Congregation repeats; legacy] Can you say it, legacy? [Congregation repeats; legacy]. Pastor John, I’m so grateful for this Heritage of Faith. So grateful for Doctor Savelle. I’m so grateful that he believed in me. So grateful he believed in you. I also count it a joy, Pastor John, to stand in this pulpit because he prophesied many years ago that this was going to be that last days’ church. I watched that service. When you showed the clips of that time that he ministered, it is. Heritage of Faith is here for such a time as this, whether here or whether in Crowley, Texas. There’s a lot we could read. This whole chapter is about heritage of faith. I want to unpack a little bit here and talk about Moses starting in verse 23. Holy Spirit, just help me communicate. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents. You know, often, a lot of times when we think of these people of faith and we get to ‘by faith’, we look at Moses in the story, but have you ever thought about the parents? Think about the parents’ part. There’s some amazing parents in this room. I look around and I see, and I know by the Spirit, the sacrifices that you’ve made for your children to step into their assignments. I know the sacrifices my parents made when I left Texas for me to stand where I’m standing today. Yes. I know God was instrumental, but also God uses people and God uses parents. Can we give a hand to the parents for a moment? Their faith, their commitment to see their children walking in their dream, walking in what God has for them.

So if you look at this, he goes, 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child. They saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king’s commands. 24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. (Hebrews 11:23-26 NKJV). There was a legacy that God was desiring to establish over the people of God, with Moses being a deliverer.

Let’s go to Psalms 102. I’ve got a number of scriptures, and we’ll see how we flow with this. So the parents of Moses were protecting him because there was a legacy that was within their children. Psalms 102, verse 12 says, 12 But You, O Lord, shall endure forever, and the remembrance of Your name to all generations. 13 You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favour her, Yes, the set time, has come. I love that. 14 For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favour to her dust (Psalm 102:12-14 NKJV). What does this mean? They were looking back and they were looking at the temples that have been built, and they were looking, and it says, and show favour to her dust, meaning, we are looking at the things and looking back at the things that were amazing. We’re looking back to the things that had been. We’re looking back to the things that God had done in the past through the children of Israel, but then it says, 15 So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord. So because what God had done for the children of Israel in the past, 15 So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. Verse 16. 16 For the Lord shall build up Zion. Meaning, these are the things that happened yesterday, but these are what’s happening today. 16 For the Lord shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. 17 He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and shall not despise their prayer. Verse 18. 18 This will be written for the generation to come. Even as he’s writing this, this is not written for their time, but I believe this is written for our time. 18 This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord (Psalm 102:15-18 NKJV). Amen. I believe we are that legacy and we are that people that have been created to praise the Lord. Amen? Can we praise the Lord for a moment? Thank You, Father, for Your goodness. Thank You, for Your faithfulness. Thank You that we are the generation that was to come. We are that generation. Thank You, Father.

There’s more we could unpack in this chapter, but I want to go to the last two verses. Actually, the last three verses. It says, 26 They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them. Think of that, like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. Are you glad you’re a new creation? Verse 27, 27 But You are the same, and Your years will have no end. Verse 28, 28 The children of Your servants will continue, And their descendants will be established before You (Psalm 102:26-28 NKJV). Hallelujah. Your children will continue, and their descendants will be established before You. We are legacy. Say, “I am legacy.” Say, “I am a child of God.”

Let’s go to Psalm 112. Verse 1 says, 1 Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments. Verse 2, 2 His descendants will be mighty on the earth; His descendants will be mighty on the earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed (Psalm 112:1-2 NKJV). Like the King James, it says, 2 His seed, His seed will be mighty in the earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed (Psalm 112:2 KJV). Hallelujah. We are His seed in the earth, and we are mighty. Hallelujah. And we are the generation that’s blessed.

Let’s go to Psalms 127. Legacy. Hallelujah. Legacy is for such a time as this. And let me say this, you’re not too old for legacy. You’re not too old for legacy. Sometimes when you look, oh, well, that’s for that’s for the Ixchangers. Well, that’s just for them. No. It’s for each one of us. Oh, well, that’s for the person that’s in the bible school. No. It’s for the person that’s in the business place. It’s for the person that’s working on the farm. It’s for the mom that works at home, it’s for the mom that’s raising children, it’s for the real estate agent, it’s for the person that’s the engineer. It’s for the minister. It’s for all of us. We, as born again children of God, we are legacy in the earth. We are His seed in the earth, and we are mighty. We are mighty.

Psalms 127. Second time. Let’s look at verse 3. It says, 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like an arrow in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Wow. 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like an arrow in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Wow. Do you know you are an instrument? Each one of us is an instrument in the hand of God to destroy the enemy. Like an arrow in the hand of a warrior. So here, as children of God, each one of us is an arrow in the hand of a warrior. And then it goes on and says this, verse 5, 5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemy in the gate (Psalm 127:3-5 NKJV). So what this actually means is this person, this child that is an arrow in the hand of a warrior, those children, what do they do? They warn and they threaten the enemy at the gate and they tell the enemy to get out of my city. That is when you come together for corporate prayer and you come together as children of God. One thing that you’re doing as an arrow of God, you’re an instrument, and it says, that you speak with their enemies in the gates. And that word speak means to warn and threaten the enemy. Hallelujah. Amen. We, you and I, we are a threat to the enemy. That’s what legacy is. Legacy in God is a threat to the enemy. That’s why the enemy wants to steal the Word. That’s why the enemy wants to steal vision. That’s why the enemy wants to steal direction. That’s why he doesn’t want the next generation to step in to know who they are and whose they are in God. Why? Because they are to be an arrow in the hand of a warrior. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you, Father. Praise you, Father.

Let’s go to Psalms 129, verse 1, 1 Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth, Let Israel now say. Many a time, they have afflicted me from my youth. As I look around, I know, each one of you, you’re no different than me. We’ve all had challenges to face. We’ve all had personal things. We’ve all made bad choices, maybe bad mistakes. Maybe some in here have faced addiction, maybe some in here you’re battling insecurities and fears, maybe you grew up in a not-so-pleasant home and had a rough childhood. Maybe the enemy, whatever it is, the enemy will do everything he can do to keep you from a place of fulfilling legacy. It says, 1 Many a time, many a time, they have afflicted me from my youth, Let Israel now say (Psalms 129:1 NKJV) The word afflict here means to bind, it means to oppress, it means to harass, it means to narrow, it means to squeeze. So many a time, the enemy has bound people. Why does he want the children of God bound? Because if they’re bound, then they can’t free any other person. If you’re not free, then you’re not going to be able to destroy. The enemy doesn’t care as long as he keeps you bound. The enemy doesn’t want you to have eyes to see and ears to hear His plans and His purposes that He has for your life. Do you know the key to maximum harvest that Doctor Savelle would talk about, is being able to have eyes to see, and ears to hear, and a heart to understand? Matthew 13 tells us that the good ground is the ground who had ears to hear, had eyes to see, and a heart to understand. That’s good ground. And that one brings forth 30, 60, and a 100 fold. So the enemy, earlier in Matthew 11, 13, it tells, he goes, why couldn’t they hear? It says, they were blind in their eyes, and their ears were dull. So if the enemy can keep our eyes dull and keep us from being able to see right things, then we’ll never be able to be the good ground till we bring forth the maximum harvest in our lives. Legacy. Legacy has to be fulfilled.

1Many a time has the enemy afflicted me from my youth, Let Israel now say. Verse 2, then it says it again, 2 Many a time they, the enemy, has afflicted me from my youth, but then it says, Yet they have not prevailed against me (Psalms 129: 1-2 NKJV). I decree that over each one of us today. It doesn’t matter what you might be facing emotionally right now and how you might have disappointed other people. I declare the enemy will not win over your destiny and will not win over your purpose, and I declare that he will not prevail against you. Because a legacy in this moment is more important than anything else you could pursue in life. In the season that we’re living in, in 2024, there’s nothing more important than a legacy in God. Nothing more important. Nothing more important. I just had that urgency on the inside of me that there’s nothing more important than the legacy.

As I remember the things that Doctor Savelle has sown into my life, the things that he has sown into our life and the things that God has established through him is so much more important now for those things to go forward than ever before. Hallelujah. But has not prevailed against me. Verse 3, 3 The plowers plowed on my back; They made their furrows long. I know there’s some farmers in here, right? And furrows for us would recommend those things when they plant grain, those long lines on the field, and where things have been planted, meaning the enemy has pushed you down and tried to put you in the dirt. But I love this next verse, it says, 4 The LORD is righteous; He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked (Psalms 129:3-4 NKJV). Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Whatever bondages, whatever things that the enemy is trying to put on you, I declare you need to recognize the fact that they have been cut through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. They have been cut. They have been broken. You have a right to freedom because of what Jesus has already done at the cross. Now I just wanted to lay those things as a foundation for you to understand the importance, one of legacy, The importance of legacy, that legacy is now. To understand that the enemy doesn’t want you to fulfill legacy, but also understanding, knowing that God is righteous and He has already cut us under what the enemy has tried to do. So ultimately, it’s your choice. It’s my choice. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Father.

Without going there, I just say some things out of my heart with that. Jesus destroyed Satan. We know from first John chapter 3 verse 8, it says that this was the reason that Jesus was manifested, to destroy the works of the enemy. You say, “Well, Pastor Justin, you don’t know I still have this going on, and I still think this way, and I’m still going through that, and I’m still doing this.” No, you have to understand the enemy is not stronger than what God has already done. Don’t talk yourself out of your victory. The enemy doesn’t want you to step into legacy. Why? Because legacy is what is going to affect our entire communities.

Tell the story often about Jesus when Jesus is going to the other side and they’re going through a storm and Jesus tells them, “Hey guys, we’re going to the other side.” But yet we know a hurricane wind of proportion came and came against their boat so much so, that water was already filling it. And we know the disciples go to Jesus in the back of the boat and they say, “Master, don’t You care that we’re perishing? Don’t You care that we’re perishing?” And so most people that I heard years ago from a religious standpoint, they would say, “Oh, well, Jesus was just testing their faith. Jesus was just testing to see what kind of faith they had.” No, He wasn’t. The enemy was trying to destroy them. The enemy was trying to keep them from going to the other side. Why? Because as you start the next chapter, they didn’t want them on the other side because there was a demon possessed man on the other side that actually had kept 10 cities in bondage.

That’s why the enemy doesn’t want you to overcome your addictions. The enemy doesn’t want you to overcome the things that you know that you don’t need to be involved in, because he knows if you get free from that, there’s other people that you’re going to bring into a place of freedom. The enemy doesn’t want you on the other side of whatever you might want to call your storm, your difficulty, your disappointment, whatever it might be. Why? Because there’s someone on the other side that needs to be set free.

Jesus is God’s legacy in the earth, and Legacy was going across to the other side to set an entire city free. But we need to have a shift in our thinking. We need to stop seeing ourselves as the disciples in the boat asking for Jesus to calm the storm. He already calmed the storm. He already gave us the Holy Ghost. He already gave us peace. He already gave us power. He always already gave us righteousness. He already gave us love. He gave us joy. He gave us everything that we have need of to walk successfully on this earth. So we need to shift from seeing ourselves as the disciples saying, “Master, don’t You care?”

You know, I used to pray that. “Lord, don’t You know what I’m going through? God, don’t You care? If You really cared about this, then You would make me do right.” We need to stop seeing ourselves as the disciples going to Jesus and start seeing ourselves as Jesus, going to the other side and having the ability to calm the storm for others. Thank You, Father. Hallelujah.

Go to Matthew 16. Matthew 16. Hallelujah. Yeah. Just say this after me; Devil, you can’t have my legacy. Devil, you can’t have my child’s legacy. Get off my legacy. Get off my assignment. I’ve got important things to do. Now. Hallelujah. In Jesus’ name. Matthew 16, I’m sure this is familiar to us, verse 13 says, 13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked the disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16: 13-16 NKJV). Can we say that together? You are Christ the Son of the living God. Verse 17, 17Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16 : 17-18 NKJV).

Wow. Of course, we know, it’s always funny, it’s like, we’re not to build the Church on Peter, but we’re building the Church on the rock of revelation. But what’s the revelation? Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus is the Messiah. He’s the Deliverer. He is the one that is Anointed. Hallelujah. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. But we have to understand, after Jesus died on the cross, after He ascended in the lower parts of the earth, and after He risen, stayed for so many days, 40-days or whatever amount of days it was, and revealed Himself to 500 people. Then He ascended up on high, and He sat down at the right hand of God. We have to understand the amazing exchange that took place. My unrighteousness for His righteousness. What, that’s an amazing exchange. But what about this exchange? I was a sinner, now I’m a son. We have to start seeing ourselves in the revelation of who we are in God right now. Because it’s this revelation that the gates of hell can’t prevail against the church, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

First John 3, the beginning part says, Beloved, what love the Father has bestowed upon us that He would call us, what? Sons of God. And then it goes on and says, we are sons of God now. Because now are we the sons of God. Now. Now we’re the sons of God. Now we’re the sons of God. You say it with me; now I’m a son of God. So now I’m legacy. A son is legacy. Bryn is Doctor Savelle’s legacy, and he’s my legacy. And I’m grateful for that earthly legacy. It’ll forever mark me, but how much more a heavenly legacy?

Let’s go to Galatians. Am I okay on time? Thank You, Father. There’s lots of scriptures that reveal this to us. We don’t need to go to all of them here, so… Thank You, Father. Verse 26 of Galatians 3. It says, 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26 NKJV). For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Go down to chapter 4 verse 3. 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. We could call that what we read in Psalm 129, 2 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, yet has not prevailed against me (Psalm 129:2 NKJV). So here it says, 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage, afflicted by the enemy, under the elements of the world. 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as, what? Sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. [Galatians 4:3-7 NKJV]. Hallelujah. He sent the Spirit of His Son into my heart crying, “My Father, my dear Father.” Hallelujah. And I am no longer a slave, but I’m a son. And if I’m a son, I have legacy. I have legacy.

Now, just go there with me for a moment, just the thought that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God and it was on this revelation that the gates of hell would not prevail against the Church. Pastor John, you can correct me if you feel like I’m wrong in this. Romans chapter 9, you don’t need to turn there. Romans chapter 9, I believe, verse 25 says we are children of the living God. Second Corinthians, I think, 6 says we are the temple of the living God. First Timothy 3:15 says we are the church of the living God. Hebrews 12:21 talks about you have come unto Mount Zion, the city of the living God.

So Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God and the gates of hell could not prevail against the Church because of that revelation. I believe what’s just as important of us knowing that Jesus is the Christ, is knowing that we are the children of the living God and when we stand up as legacy of the living God, the gates of hell can not prevail against me in my family, my finances, my purpose, or my destiny. Just as much as Jesus is the Son of the living God, I am Justin, a child of the living God. And just as much as Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father as the Son of God today, Justin in the earth is just as much a son of the living God as Jesus is at the right hand of the Father. And when you receive that revelation, it will change how you talk, change how you walk, change how you think, change how you talk to people, change how you love, change how you give.

If you’re having issues in any area of your life and you’re tired of going the directions that you’ve been going, just start to change your identity with this, “I am a child of the living God.” “Well, pastor, you don’t understand I’m doing this and I’m doing that.” I don’t care because you’re still referring to someone that you no longer are. Let’s go back to Hebrews 11. You have time for 2 more verses? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank You, Lord. Thank you. Verse 24, 24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He was exchanging legacy. He was exchanging Egypt legacy for a Kingdom legacy. He no longer will be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, that just hit me. I didn’t even see that till just now. To no longer be called Pharaoh’s daughter. There’s some things you need to no longer be called. Stop calling yourself, “Well, I’m this. This is my identity.” No. He refused to no longer be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. Thank you. Choosing, rather … See, there’s a choice. See, I had to come to a point where Justin was no longer going to be the addict, the one that was sick, the one that had no direction, the one that had no future, but choosing. So Justin had to choose something different. 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin. That’s a choice. Are you going to choose a legacy that’s temporary, or are you going to choose the legacy that’s eternal? He’s esteemed, now get this. He had esteemed 26 the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt (Hebrews 11:24-26 NKJV).

Now, esteeming. Esteem is to hold valuable. Esteem here means to reckon. It means to  highly regard. So, Moses is saying he was highly regarding the reproach of Christ but when I was thinking about this, Moses, what did he know about Christ? Christ didn’t come for 1000 of years later. But he was talking about the anointing. He was talking about the One that would come eventually to deliver. He was speaking into future things, so he was esteeming the reproach. Now this word reproach means the sufferings of Christ because there was a cause of Christ. It’s not just he wasn’t just holding valuable the suffering of Christ, he was holding more valuable the cause of Christ. See, it’s about the cause. It’s about the cause. It’s about the cause. Jesus said, “For the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame.” Meaning, there was a cause. It wasn’t just esteeming the fact that Jesus got beaten for me, but, no, it’s esteeming the cause of what Christ accomplished. And so Moses was saying, “Hey, I’m not going to choose that, I’m not going to choose the pleasures that are of sin for a season, but I’m choosing legacy because I esteem the cause of the anointed One greater than any riches in Egypt.” That’s what legacy has to do in 2024, that it’s choosing. It’s choosing the eternal legacy over the temporary pleasures of this world. But there’s a cause. There’s a cause. There’s a cause. Why is legacy important? There’s a cause. 26 … esteeming the reproach of Christ of greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward (Hebrews 11:26 NKJV). He looked to, he focused on the outcome. He focused on the end result. He focused on, hear this; Kingdom results.

Let me close with this. Let’s go to Romans 8. Hallelujah. [Pastor Justin praying in tongues] Hallelujah. Romans 8. Let’s look at verse 16 says, 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Verse 18. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us (Romans 8:17-18 NKJV). Wow. The sufferings of this present time. And we could look at suffering as … Bible says of Jesus, He learned obedience through the things that he suffered. His suffering was not sickness. His suffering wasn’t disease. His suffering was obedience. Ask you, what was the suffering of Jesus? It was obedience.

In my life, the reason why I didn’t come to God sooner than I should have, it had nothing to do with wasn’t not my time yet. It had everything to do with my choosing obedience, choosing the greater path, choosing the greater plan, even when it didn’t make sense to my flesh, even when my flesh wanted other things, I had to choose this other way. So the sufferings of this present time, for all the iXchangers, for the parents – and I believe there could be some in here that need to be an iXchanger – the suffering of this present time means the obedience of this present time. The obedience of this present time is not worthy to be compared with the glory. Whoo. I’m telling you, the momentary things, these things that you think that you’re suffering by letting go of, those things cannot be compared to the glory that will be revealed. I love the Amplified. It says; revealed in us and conferred upon us is not worthy to be compared. And you know what? And this is all referring to what? Legacy, sons of God. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory. (Romans 8:18 NKJV) Now there’s a lot of things I had to give up before I came to Texas, but I’m telling you, looking back on it, the glory, the manifestation of what God has done in my life, even when I’ve experienced setbacks in my life, going through a divorce, going through challenging things, dealing with certain situations. I’m telling you, walking through those things, but yet staying true to God and true to His Word and keeping your eyes on the Father, even when people persecute you and all those things, still keeping your eyes on Him. I’m telling you the glory that I have seen and the glory that I still am going to walk in. I’m telling you, nothing is compared to it.

This church, Heritage Faith, Crowley, we’ve seen some tastes of glory, but I’m telling you, it’s not worthy to be compared to the glory that we are going to continue to see. Amen, Pastor John. He’s not done writing here, verse 19 says, 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits, for what? For the revealing of the sons of God (Romans 8:19 NKJV). All of creation, all the earth is waiting on you and they don’t know it. The world is waiting on something, they just don’t know what they’re waiting on. The world’s waiting on something, and so therefore, they’ll give themselves to drugs, they’ll give themselves to certain things, they’ll give themselves to all sorts of other things. But ultimately creation is groaning and they’re earnestly waiting for the what? The manifestation of the sons of God. Because it’s in the manifestation of the sons of God in the Church that the gates of hell won’t prevail against it. Legacy. The world is waiting on legacy. The world’s waiting on the legacy of Heritage of Faith.

Stand to your feet. Hallelujah. Pastor John, do you have anything? Hallelujah. Thank You, Father. Can we just pray in the Spirit for a moment? I don’t want to….  Hallelujah. [Congregation is praying in the Spirit] Oh, Father, we thank You for legacy. We thank You, Father that the sons of God, hallelujah, that we are sons of God. Hallelujah. We are sons and daughters of God. Hallelujah. Legacy. Legacy. Legacy. Legacy. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit]

If you’re here today and you say, “Pastor Justin, I have bondages that are keeping me back from walking in legacy. And I know it’s time for those bondages, it’s time for me to allow the Lord to cut those bondages.” And I don’t feel led to make a list of what bondages might be, and it’s not for anyone here to determine what your bondage could be. It could be unforgiveness, it could be offence, it could be hurt from a childhood. It could be a number of things. But you feel like you sense in your heart by the Holy Spirit that you’re being hindered from stepping into being able to choose like Moses chose. If that’s you, just come up here real quick. Come up real quick. No one’s here to judge you. [Congregation members start moving to the front] Thank You, Father. Thank You, Father. Praise You, Father. We glorify You. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit] Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Pastor John, can your pastors help me? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank You, Jesus. Hallelujah. Thank You, Father. [Pastor John speaks inaudibly to Pastor Justin] Oh, yes, if they get to lay hands. Hallelujah. Freedom is in the name of Jesus. By just getting out of your aisle and coming to the altar, there’s something that’s already taking place even now. Hallelujah. And I believe that the Bible tells us that His Word is sharper than a two-edged sword. And I believe as the Word went forth, the anointing went forth with it, and the anointing went one way and cut some things off, but in the same way that the knife coming out also brought healing in the same way. And as we lay hands on you, there is going to be a sealing, a guarantee, a sealing of what the Spirit has done by the Word. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank You, Father. Now, congregation, just lift your hands, pray in the Holy Ghost, worship. Hallelujah. There’s an atmosphere here, hallelujah, for God’s will to be done, just exactly the way each one of them needs it today. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You ready, pastors? Hallelujah. Father, I thank You, in Jesus’ name. Hallelujah. Let it be like fresh wind, fire, fire to cauterise. [Pastor Justin speaks in tongues] Ah, thank You, Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Oh, Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Hallelujah. Thank You, Father. Rest upon them. Rest upon them. Rest upon them. Oh, Father, thank You for the love of God, the love of God that seals, the love of God that doesn’t just heal but seals, seals what’s taking place with their destinies and their purposes. Hallelujah. Oh, thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit] Oh, whatever they came up here with today, Lord, that is being left at the altar, it’s been left at this place. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit] Oh, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Father. Just washed away. Oh, just washed away. Father, I thank You that Your peace, Your peace comes in, Your peace that passes all understanding that comes in. Peace. We have peace with God. Peace with God. No longer mad at us in any way. We have peace with God. In John 20, when Jesus said to the disciples, He said, “Peace be with you.” Peace. Peace. Overflowing peace. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit] Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Peace. Thank You Jesus. Oh, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. Jesus. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. Hallelujah. Thank You, Jesus. Peace. Peace Peace. Lord, just overwhelm every person in this place with peace. Peace. Peace. Thank You, Jesus. Peace.

Father, we thank You, Lord, for Your Word today. As Isaiah says, it says we tremble at Your Word. I thank You that Your Word went forth today, and I thank You that Your Word does not return void. But Your Word will go, it goes out and it produces exactly what it was meant to do. And right now, as we’re laying hands, as we’re praying for, I thank You, Lord, that You’re sealing what the Holy Spirit is doing. You overwhelmed the peace. Jesus. Oh, Father, I thank You. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit]. Father, I just thank You. In the name of Jesus. Just Your freedom and dance. Just Your freedom. You might not know what this means, but he cannot silence your song any longer. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit].

Hallelujah. If you’re having severe back pain right now, just come up and stand over here, toward to my left. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Make all things new. Make all things new. Anointing go in. Minister to the inflammation. Inflammation, you subside. Inflammation, you go, go. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Jesus. Praise You, Father. Inflammation go. [Pastor Justin prays in the Spirit] Be healed in the name of Jesus. From the top of her head, to the soles of her feet, I command the anointing of God to go through her, into her, and eradicate inflammation. Inflammation, go. Inflammation, go. Align. Whatever is out of line, bring into line. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Jesus. Jesus. Healing in Jesus’ name. Top of her head to the soles of her feet. Hallelujah. Thank You, Father. Oh, Jesus. Oh, thank You, Jesus. Healing anointing go into this body, target right exactly where the inflammation is. In Jesus’ name. Thank You, Father. Healing. Healing into this back. Thank You, Father. Anointing go into this body. Be whole. Inflammation go.

Pastor John Bendixen:

The anointing of God is here for anything and everything that you need. The presence of God is here. There’s a healing anointing. All the months we’ve been speaking, healing, healing, restoration, health, peace, joy. The power of God is here. Released today. Hallelujah. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Just where you are now, just just thank Him. Thank You. Thank Him for whatever you need from Him, just thank Him. Thank You, Lord. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. We praise You. We praise You. We praise You, Jesus. We give You honour. We give You glory. We praise the name of Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus.

Sometimes, you know, God sends another messenger to come and draw a line under everything He’s been telling us for a long time. Isn’t that what God did today? He just said, “All the stuff you’ve been believing, all the stuff you’ve been receiving, all the stuff you’ve been living.” He just drew a line under it. He said, “Exclamation mark.” Right? Hallelujah. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise You, Father. Glory to God. Thank you, Pastor Justin. Thank you for ministering the Word to us today, for obeying the Holy Spirit, for not preaching on peace, preaching what He wanted you to deliver today. We got peace with it. Yes. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Won’t you just put your hand on your chest like this and speak this with me?

Well, I’m just going to declare this over you. I’m going to declare that you’re blessed going out and you’re blessed coming in. That you are protected by the Word of Jesus, by His angels, the power of the Holy Spirit. Nothing shall come near you. No harm shall come near you. But you are protected by the blood of Jesus. Hallelujah. We thank You, Father, that peace is our portion. We receive shalom. We receive shalom in Jesus’ name. And we thank You Father that wherever travelling we’re going to do, whatever business we’re going to do this week, that You take care of it. Your anointing rests upon it to bring about productivity and results that You want for our lives, that we trust You for. Great increase of harvest in Jesus’ name. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We’re going to have Message Moments tonight at 5 o’clock. Maybe the Lord’s put something on your heart to share about what God said to you in the meeting this morning or maybe from next week, come prepared, come and share what’s on your heart this afternoon at 5 o’clock. Thank you everybody. God bless you all. Bye.
