What is discipleship?

If you’ve just given your life to Jesus, or if you want to have a more personal and committed
relationship with Him, Discipleship 101 is the place for you.

We focus on:

Laying down solid Biblical foundations.

Establishing you in Godly principles.

Showing you how you can live as a disciple in a real and practical way.

Helping you to build a genuine relationship with Jesus.

Answering your questions and bringing truth to misconceptions.

How does it work?

This is a 24-lesson course, available in-person and online. We walk this journey with you, and our facilitators take you through each lesson, answer your questions, and help you to apply what you are learning to your life. This is a space to ask, to grow, and to build strong spiritual roots.

MEET THE PASTORS

Pastor John Bendixen

Pastor John has been the senior pastor of Heritage of Faith ever since stepping out of the corporate world and obeying God’s call on his life to the full-time ministry.

His passion is reaching people with the love of God and the Word of God, and he is committed to training up disciples who have a personal and powerful relationship with Jesus.

His primary purpose in life is to further the Kingdom of God and to be a faithful messenger of God

Pastor Sharon Bendixen

Pastor Sharon, married to Pastor John since 1980, has a zeal for God and to see His people become mature disciples. She is part of the music ministry team, ensuring that it flows with the leading of the Spirit of God.

Pastor Christi Grobler

Pastor Christi serves the people of God, pastoring and teaching them in line with the direction that God is leading our senior pastors.

Pastor Garth Bendixen

Pastor Garth has a passion for the youth to know God and walk in His ways. After overcoming addiction with God’s help, Pastor Garth serves in a pastoral role and on the worship team.

Pastor Melusi Ngcobo

Growing up in hardship and violence, Pastor Melusi encountered the love of God and now spends his life sharing the love of God with others.
