Pastor Garth: So, I’m going to pray for Pastor Melusi and you guys can bring the stuff up, please. Father, thank You for the message that You put in Pastor Melusi’s heart. We know that he is coming with specific words from Your heart. And we ask You to give us Lord, ears to hear, eyes to see and a heart to receive and to believe. And we ask You, Father, that as Pastor Melusi opens his mouth this morning, that You fill his mouth with Your words That he flows with You, precious Holy Spirit. And we all say in the wonderful Name of Jesus, amen.
Hallelujah, put a smile on your face and tap the person next to you and say, “I’ve got joy unspeakable and full of glory.” You’ve got to do it with a smile on your face.
Pastor Melusi: Yes, you may be seated. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord. Well, I don’t know whether to say, “Welcome to church” or you should say, “Welcome, Pastor Melusi.” But for all that is worth, welcome to church. First things first, I’d like to pass a greeting and the love of Pastor John all the way from the US. And they are really, really appreciative for the breath of prayer every morning, every evening when we wake up for two minutes, give that breath of prayer, they appreciate that. Amen. Hallelujah.
So, without any waste of time, I’d like us to take up an offering. And I want you to have your offering in your hand so that we can just make a declaration. Hallelujah. So, I don’t have an offering with me but it’s because I’m alone, my wife is not here and I’m a mess without her. So, if you, [Brynn gives Pastor Melusi money for the offering] thank you sir, bless you. Let’s hold up, say, “Lord, I’m a seed-sower, and thank You that You do not forget a seed sown. And yes, Lord, I’m also a tither, I thank You for the opportunity to tithe. I don’t decide to tithe, I bring the tithe. The tithe is not for me to give, the tithe belongs to You. I thank You that through the tithe which is Yours, it’s my covenant connector. I thank You that in every harvest there is a tithe and it belongs to You in Jesus’ Name. And we say, amen. Hallelujah.
Well, thank you for coming to church and thank you for having me. And I’m grateful and I’m honored that I have been given and entrusted with this opportunity. You know I wanted to tell a dream that I had, but I’m not going to give details about the dream because it’s very funny.
So, but we came here, and then we came to minister my wife was here and then I was with Zano and Annie, and we were greeting Pastor John and Pastor Sharon. They were in some sort of a holding room and I left them there, Zano and Pastor Sharon. And I come to the auditorium because I must get ready to preach. And Miranda calls us to the front, myself and my wife, she wants to show us something. And we were busy looking at this thing, but ten minutes into the service I was late. All of a sudden, I have to go to another auditorium. And I find Pastor Christi – this is the funny part – Pastor Christi is so angry. For the first time, I saw Pastor Christi angry. But even in her anger, she is still smiling. Anyway, I will not go into details of the dream, but I’m glad I’m here, I’m glad I’m not late. Hallelujah.
Well, this morning I would love to… What is in my heart, and what led me to pursue this message and study it, what is in my heart is that my desire this morning – let me set my watch here – my desire this morning is that we settle some things. That there are certain things that we need to settle. My desire is that there are certain things that we are still in doubt of about who we are as this ecclesia. We are still in doubt that, do we really belong to this ecclesia? We are still in doubt, can we live up to the standard that is set in this ecclesia?
You know as Christians we are called to do great things, and sometimes we feel pressured. We think that we cannot live up to a righteous life, and a holy life. We can. We can live a holy life. We can live a righteous life. Just like pastor Garth said, we need to cultivate a repentative lifestyle, Hallelujah.
Now, this is what Jesus says when He is in front of Pilate. Pastor John read the scripture. He said, “My Kingdom is not like your kingdom.” My Kingdom is otherwise. My servants will come and deliver Me from you. Amen. We don’t fight like the world fights. The weapons of our warfare, they are not like the world’s. They might look weak to the world. Amen. Just for example, the first weapon that we have is coming clean, and confessing our sins. Amen. Hallelujah. That is the weapon against the power of sin. We can live a holy life. God has made the way, hallelujah. Now the title of my message, I hope Pastor Christi I’m still on track – offering is done, no announcements? Praise the Lord.
I’m going to allow the scripture to speak this morning, amen? I feel overdressed. I’m like, “My goodness, how did I convince myself to do this?” And I left all the jeans at home you know, I’m like… But anyway. Thank you Empie for wearing a suit so I don’t feel lost here. Hallelujah.
The title of my message is Heeding the Call. Cross over, heeding the call. It’s not as complicated as one would think to live up to the call of being a Christian. We can live a holy life, a righteous life and a victorious life. We are not just weak individuals who are heavenly ready and earthly irrelevant. But why then when the call is so loud and clear, when the call is exactly what we or I want to hear, yet I do not heed it? Amen
Wisdom is calling and when Wisdom is calling, He’s got everything that we want. But why are we finding it difficult to heed? Therefore, we understand that there must be a readjustment that needs to happen on our side to get the clarity of signal. There is this thing that they call a beat frequency that we need to avoid when it comes to radio frequencies. The carrier waves, alternately cancel and reinforce. You know when you’ve got those double stations – it’s called a beat frequency.
We need an aligning and an alignment. We need to align our lives so that we can get an accurate frequency. Because on the side of the call, it’s clear. Wisdom is loud. Wisdom is on top of the mountain. Wisdom is on the road, at the door, and we need Wisdom to be overcomers. We need Wisdom to live a victorious life. We need Wisdom to live strong. Why aren’t we heeding? Praise the Lord.
Well, the call is clear. Message moments – why aren’t we heeding? Prayer Connect – why aren’t we heeding? Bible School – why aren’t we heeding? But we know that we need to be there. We need to be with the saints. There is a readjustment that we need to do. Hallelujah. Am I doing well Pastor Christi? Praise the Lord. In Diepsloot I would have been down there already. This is what we do. Hallelujah. So, we need a positioning, a proper positioning. We need a readjustment, alignment and proper positioning. Hallelujah.
Let’s go to 1 John chapter 2 verse 15. I’m going to start reading it with the New King James. It says “15Do not love the world or things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2: 15 NKJV)
The TPT “15 Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible.” (1 John 2:15 TPT) Incompatible. Now, when you look at this word, don’t set – In other words, when you set something, you put, you place. Don’t set your affections. There is nothing wrong with affection. We are creatures of affection. Amen. We are creatures of affection. It’s not a sin to have an affection. Amen.
Because God wants us to be decision-makers and He wants us to have a choice. So, that we can have a genuine relationship with Him. So, there is absolutely nothing wrong with affection, however, it’s about where we have set our affections. There is a quality decision that needs to be made here. There is a choice that needs to be made where we set our affections. It starts with the thought patterns. What we think, what we feed. Actually, there is nothing wrong with certain things that we watch on television, however, we must be careful because as your thought goes, then your affections will go. What you feed your mind and your brain, then that’s how your affections will be led.
A statement of decision and choice right there. It is a practical thing. That’s what Pastor Sharon said, that when you get, we are born again so God wants us to know Him. To get to know God. And it’s a practical thing. We say, “Lord, I am here, I want to know You. I want to spend time with You.” You are setting your affections against the world but your affections towards the Father. Hallelujah.
You know, recently we heard a lot of things about the life of Dr. Jerry. The things that he loved and so forth. And one thing that I marked when I was busy preparing and meditating, is that he loved music and secular music. However, I am not in a space to compare myself with Dr. Jerry. There are certain things that he sacrificed so that he can press into God. So, I cannot justify the love of the world that is hiding in my heart and say, “But so, Dr Jerry listened to this message.” “No,” I do not qualify. Amen. Me and you both, we don’t qualify. Maybe Pastor John, maybe Pastor Sharon but definitely not anyone in this room. Amen. Because we need to cultivate a spiritual relationship with the Lord so that the love of the Father can infuse us so that we can diffuse it wherever we go. The Continuous Perfect State of Being. Hallelujah.
Having my affections set. The word set – having them put, or lay, or positioned on loving the things of the world, replaces the Continuous Perfect State of Being with what fades away. The things of the world, they fade away, they don’t have the Continuous Perfect State of Being. Amen. It is a continuous imperfect state of being. Everything, it is like there is an inbuilt corruption. The things of the world, they have an inbuilt corruption within them. The car will break. Food will rot. Clothes will mould. They can’t last forever. We cannot chase the things of the world. Amen.
You know, sometimes we people want to eat so much, we want to eat for tomorrow. You can’t eat for tomorrow. You can’t eat all the food that is here. Amen. We need to have a good relationship with food. Hallelujah. Let me not go there. I said I am going to allow Scripture to speak. Let me do that.
Let’s go to The Message Bible. The very same passage, this is what it says: 15 Don’t love the world’s ways. Don’t love the world’s goods… So, the world has ways. It has goods. Amen. Now you are going to see later – you might think you don’t have, you might think you don’t have the love of the ways of the world and the goods of this world, but they have got a funny way – the affections of the things of the world – to hide themselves in our hearts. Amen.
Now here is a practical thing. Practically, let me start there. 15…Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father (1 John 2:15-17 MSG) Say, “Love of the world, it squeezes out the love of the Father.” They can’t co-exist. They can’t. The other one will be stronger, the other one will be weaker. We ask ourselves, “Where did that love that I had when the first day that I was born again, where did it all go wrong?” There is absolutely nothing wrong with entertainment, but there is everything wrong with wanting to be entertained. Going after entertainment… you can’t, you know. You know, Pastor John said, “Well, we are going, we are on assignment, we are going to America, and there in between, we might have a relaxing time. That is how the Lord will meet our needs.” We are always on assignment. We can never separate ourselves from the church. You can leave this building, but you will never leave the church. Amen. You are the church. When you leave here, you don’t stop becoming a church. Hallelujah.
You are part of the church, but there are certain things as the Bible says, …Perfect love casteth out all fear (1 John 4:18). That word perfect means maturing. You know, it depicts a picture of a pirate’s telescope, you know, it grows and becomes bigger. So, a developed love in the heart of a Christian brings boldness for faith and confidence for living a life of Christianity. So, it needs to grow. But when the love of the world and our affection is on the things of the world it squeezes out. We have to start all over again. Then we start becoming phoney. Hallelujah. Practically everything that goes on in the world… here is the thing that goes on in the world. Wanting your own way. Say, “Wanting my own way.” That’s what goes on in the world. So, when you want your own way you must know where are your affections set. Wanting everything for yourself, yeah. We’re taught a lot in Bible school, and we read books and there’s this part where Kenneth Hagin says, “When I make eggs and I make two eggs for myself and my wife, I give her the best one.” What is he doing? He’s cultivating to put the other person first all the time. Amen.
We must always think about the other person all the time. We come to church prayed up. We pray for others. Amen. Oh, Jesus. Wanting your own way that’s what’s going on in the world, wanting everything for yourself. Wanting to appear important – this is a big one. Has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from Him. All these things have nothing to do with the Father. We become isolated from Him.
Where is the Father? In the gathering of the saints. When you find yourself not being excited about coming to PCG, watch your affections. Amen. Watch your affections. Believe me sometimes my affections Sunday afternoon come from preaching in Diepsloot, we preach long. You know, I’m tired. Because I’m building there, amen. And coming there all that I want to do, my affections are on the Sunday lunch and on my bed. It’s like I didn’t sleep… or feel my wife or one of my daughters, “Daddy it’s a Message Moment” I have to pull myself like this [pulling his collar and walking forward] amen.
Because I pay attention to what wants to steal my affections. I always want my affections to be with the Father. Because really sometimes we think that God found us like this wearing a suit like this. All snazzy and everything and so forth… we thought that God found us better. We forget that we are nobodies, we squandered our lives. Amen. Now we think we can decide how we must live our lives. You squandered your life before. And for people like me who had a past like me, it’s easy but you know it’s very difficult that’s why Jesus went after those people who did not smoke, or steal. Because the biggest thing that is a challenge Is self-righteousness. We need to repent from self-righteousness.
You know that thing that you say, “I was just innocent. I didn’t party… “Yeah, self-righteousness. It’s creeping up. No one is innocent until Jesus forgives your sins, Amen. There are many good people who are going to hell because of their innocence that is self-imposed innocence. Amen.
15-17 …The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out—but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity. (1 John 2:15-17 MSG). A Continuous Perfect State Of Being. What’s the point of being a Christian? So, that we can be spiritual, just like the Father, so that we can have the love of the Father, so that we can live a strong life. Amen. So, that those weak things that are holding us back, we can break from them. We can. The world is hungry for such people who have a solution from those things that are holding them back and we are the best candidates. Hallelujah. Glory to Jesus.
We get what is called, yes definitely. If we have both the world that beat frequency, where there is a cancelling the other and reinforcing the other. It’s, we can just simply put unstable Christian life. Who wants stability? We all do, and money does not bring stability. The goods of the world do not bring stability, only the Holy Spirit. The Continuous Perfect State Of Being brings stability. Stability in your marriage, stability in all the relationships, stability in your finances. Amen. Hallelujah. We’ve got the answer.
One time I know and grow the love of the Father but when the world bombards me with its stuff, immediately I switch to what it offers, instability. Let’s read The Amplified, 17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever (1 John 2:17 AMPC). That’s what the love of the Father does. Amen
Well, I think I’ve said…16 none of these things come from the Father but from the world come the things that perish. Verse 17 says, This world, in the TPT. 17This world and its desires are in a process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of the Father live forever. Now, when Pastor John, you know, he has, he has changed the language and he is teaching us – actually, he made an announcement, last year already, about the Lord leading him to teach us and to speak about the love of God. And, and he brought it in this term of the Continuous Perfect State of Being. Now when he was busy teaching about the Continuous Perfect State of Being – you know, I got meditating about it and the only illustration that I have is what is in the world, the world, you know, everybody is going on about it, now you see it on your phones; the AI, Artificial Intelligence. The world is putting its hope in there, I’m not saying it’s evil but I am going to tread carefully when it comes to it. Because it wants to take away the Continuous Perfect State of Being. It promises it, it promises that you will have this Continuous Perfect State of Being but the love of the Father has it – can you see the difference here? Now, I went to, to check the meaning of Artificial Intelligence. Artificial is unnatural, fake. It is, what do you call this? Uh, fraud, phoney. Those are words that that describe artificial; unnatural, fake, phoney, fraud. And it is a fraud because it doesn’t want you now to write your thesis, it wants to write your thesis for you, the fourth years.
Now, it wants to take away the creativity of the Father that is in you. Doesn’t want you to think for yourself. Then now we are, we are zombies, and then we are following a just big data that was collected based on your private behaviour of your affections that are set on the things of the world and they are collecting that and they are bombarding you with all the algorithms. But you can have a private behaviour with the Father. You can tell Him everything, actually He knows everything that you are doing. You can’t hide anything from Him, but the world is growing so much because we are so open to the world. No, but you can come to the Father and say, “Lord, my affections right now, they in the wrong place. I thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit that I am becoming stronger than the affections that I have that are in the world.” Hallelujah. We can.
Now, when, now, this is how the Lord gave it to me. He said, “There is an AI of the world and there is My AI,” meaning the Lord. I said, “Lord, what do You mean?” He said, “What is the opposite of artificial?” Then I went and looked, it’s authentic. Amen. Hallelujah. Authentic Intelligence. We have that Authentic Intelligence within us. We’ve got the Spirit of Wisdom. Hallelujah. Believe me, you don’t need AI, it is passing away. We need the Ecclesia, we need the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Glory to Jesus.
It’s the highest form of intelligence; the Authentic Intelligence. Hallelujah. Now, I’ve got good news for you. Romans 5, verse 5, in the TPT says, and 5 this hope is not disappointing fantasy. That’s the TPT, this hope is not disappointing fantasy, believe me, you will be disappointed with AI. Believe me. I’m just putting it, AI, so that you will remember that we talking about the love of the world and the love of the Father. Amen. You will be definitely disappointed with AI because we can now experience, experience the endless love of God cascading, that word ‘cascading’ is pours down, downwards rapidly in large quantities. Yes, we can experience it, the Continuous Perfect State of Being. We can. It doesn’t have to be Pastor John only, it just has to be practical; be in the presence of the Lord, go where the church is going, amen. Because your seat when it’s empty then we do not quorum, amen. We need you here. We need you to come and legislate. We need your agreement. Hallelujah. So it, it pours down rapidly in large quantities into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us! (Romans 5:5 TPT) Hallelujah.
Now, my second point; the alignment. I want to read what Pastor John said, excuse me, in one of the messages during the time of the Kingdom and Ecclesia Economics. This is what he said, you know there are many, I call them, ‘word markers.’ There are many statements that have marked my heart all the way back 18 years ago that Ps John said and it has directed my life. You know, things like Faith is not a formula for success but it’s God’s pattern for victory. On that day, he had something that marked me, what he said, I hope this will come and be illuminated in your mind. This is what he said, we mustn’t point of emphasis there, we mustn’t, you know recently, he has emphasised something, he said, I dare to tell you, stop asking God about your needs. Amen.
I don’t want to preach on what he said before he left because he is building on something here, I don’t want to be too forward and think that I know what he is going to say. Really, he said, because you have a contract, you have a covenant, God doesn’t want you to worry about what you’re going to eat, what you’re going to wear, because you have a contract. Everything is being care of, just be on an assignment.
You know, I can’t stop fantasizing about our land. I’m like, wow. Maybe we will have a university there? Maybe we will have a theme park there? But anyway, that is my fantasizing, because that’s our land. That is what we need to occupy. There are so many things that need to be occupied, amen. Anyway, we mustn’t allow ourselves to think that speaking in tongues is an alternative power. The alternative tongues are just a sign that you have the power. The power is not just in the words that you speak. You know I think this iPad was made in China, so the phones are growing… I am just helping the phones, not that I cannot see. [Pastor Melusi putting on his glasses] Just because I have highlighted you know, It is just, no I am not that old. I am just helping these phones, everything made in China you can’t trust it hey. So, don’t get ideas I can see very fine.
The alternative tongues are just a sign that you have the power. The power Is not just in the words that you speak out of your mouth. The power Is in the Holy Spirit that fills you with another language. Amen. The tongues themselves are not the source of power. They are a sign. Amen. We do get caught up in the language and it is good to have a language so that you can move to different spiritual dimensions. Amen.
You need to develop your language so that you can gain confidence of the power that you have. Amen. When we speak in tongues, we release power, hallelujah. It is not just gibberish there is power that we tap into, glory to Jesus. Okay, this one is not highlighted I can read it. It is the language of speaking spirit words that God and you will speak to eternity. The power is not the fact that you just have other words coming out of your mouth. The power Is the Holy Spirit that is in you. Which Holy Spirit? The one that shares abroad in our hearts. The Continuous Perfect State of Being. The evidence of the Holy Spirit being in you is words that come out of your mouth. It is the language of the Holy Spirit it is the evidence of the power that is in you. It is the evidence of the power that is in you. So, we need to be encouraged that if you can speak in tongues you should speak in tongues because it is evidence of power. If you are not convinced of your power speak in tongues.
Let your tongues convince you that you have the power. He said, come on, we get so caught up sometimes in this language that we speak, we get so caught up in the ritual of speaking in tongues. Because it is answered prayer. Yes. When we pray in tongues, we pray accurately and we are sure of the answer. But when our affections are on the world, then we become unstable. We don’t have confidence of the answer. We are fearful. We are doubtful. But if we continue and develop the love of the Father, we are confident that He hears our prayers and He answers them. Amen.
So, when I am in front of you, and I go, [Ps Melusi demonstrating Ps John praying in tongues], these are words that are coming out of my mouth. But it is evidence of power that is in me. So, when I speak in another tongue, I am reminding myself there is power in me. How are we going to fight the spirit of mammon, the spirit of money? How are we going to overcome the spirit of money? You can’t do it by just thinking differently. You can’t think by a disciplined lifestyle. I am glad that God was using me and using the power in me when I didn’t even have the full revelation of this.”
Still, Pastor John, I am going to remind you. I am after a deal here in Middelburg and I am losing the deal to IBM. I am asking the Lord, “I know I am the one who is supposed to get the commission there. Not some IBM salesman. And corporate politics is defeating me. Help me, Jesus.” I access the power. When I access the power – So he spoke in tongues and he says, “I access the power. When I access the power, the Holy Spirit gave me a face like a television screen.” Now, it takes the perfect love of God to understand that this is not just a made-up story. This is the miracle at work. Amen.
We have the power, the working, miracle power living in us. We just have to tap it and access it. When the Holy Spirit gave him the screen – how many of you are doubting the screen? Believe me, if you perfect the love of the Father in you, you will understand that we are called to make and work miracles in cooperation with the Father. Amen. Hallelujah.
Now, speaking in another tongue is just a sign that you have power. I am very prepared. Even this here. [Ps Melusi indicating to his notes] I hope my daughter printed my… I don’t want a mistake – rather be overly prepared than make mistakes. Amen. Hallelujah. So, bear with me.
Now I want us to look at the word power that is used in the Bible. The word used for power in this verse – ok, I will go to a verse now or maybe let’s go to Luke – Luke 4 verses 32 to 36, in the New King James. It’s fine. Now this was just after Jesus was tempted by the devil. He was baptized and then he was affirmed by the Father. This is my Son in whom I am well pleased and now He is following His life assignment. I will start in verse 31. You don’t have to change, but I will start in 31. 31 Then he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbath. 32 And they were astonished at His teaching, for His Word was with authority. 33 Now in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Let us alone! (Luke 4:31-33 NKJV)
I just have to say this – whenever the teaching is making you uncomfortable, believe me, it’s not you who is uncomfortable, but it’s the spirit that is riding your life that is uncomfortable. When you are offended with the Word, hallelujah! It’s a good thing. That it is a sign for you to repent. Hallelujah.
You know I love Pastor Sharon. She cracks the whip. You know in every parliament there must be a chief whip. Amen, otherwise people will do as they please, will say what they want. There must be order, you know, so that we will not have lot of point of orders. The chief whip must do his job, or her job. Hallelujah. That’s how I see – I refer to her as my mother. That’s how I see her, amen. Sometimes she will make you uncomfortable, amen. And you like – but does it mean that…. all these questions that we ask… does it mean that we can’t listen to other music? We are so determined to be entertained. We are not – the church, we are not called not to miss out. We are meant to miss out on the world – we are meant to. We are meant to. We are not meant to mix with the world. No, we are not of the world.
I remember her first message that I heard when she preached. It was pouring new wine in the old wine skin. Yeah. Yeah, Amen. That was Pastor Sharon. And we love her like that, and her ministry must flow in this house so that we can become better and better, so that we can defeat all those mental illnesses, that you know – unnecessary. A Christian is not supposed to be depressed – not saying it’s your fault that you are going through depression, but that is a demonic spirit. You know, it’s amazing, it’s amazing that we can accommodate to say the devil made me to do this. But when we say, it’s the demon – it’s like, “I don’t have a demon.” We accommodate the master of demons – we must see them for who they are. They do ride us sometimes and they ride us through thoughts. You remember Pastor John said we must find out, “Where did this thought come from?” Well, that was for free. Now His word was with authority.
And he cried out with a loud voice, 34 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are… believe me the demons know who you are. The Holy One of God!” 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him. 36 Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.” (Luke 4:34-36 NKJV).
Now, the word that is used here for power is the word that is dunamis; dunamis power, miraculous power; mighty strength. I would like to read what Pastor John said when he defined recently what is a miracle. I tell you, I know that there is a miracle that God is doing. You know the definition of miracle is just things that are the normal in heaven coming to what is below standard on the earth. God is not amazed when there are miracles here; it is normal in heaven. Amen.
So, this is the power that we have that Pastor John is saying, we must tap that we access. It is miraculous power this word is defined as miraculous power is defined as might as strength it is used to define physical power, a force, ability, efficacy. The word efficacy means the ability to produce desired and intended results. So, as Pastor John was saying we get so caught up with the language. Sometimes we get so caught up with miracles of the lame walking but there are miracles of that screen TV in front of you while you are in the shower. Amen. Hallelujah.
Miracles they are not only confined in the blind seeing, that those who cannot hear their ears open, and it is not only confined for the sickness and disease, it is also meant for a great marriage. Hallelujah. To have a strong life, it is meant for that. Believe me, I was never a candidate of a great marriage, but I tell you my marriage is great. Yes, we are still working, you know, we are still at work, we are still under construction, hallelujah. But I was never a candidate of that. Amen. But it is a miracle. It is a miracle. Hallelujah. Believe me, for me it is a miracle! Powerful deeds. That is what it defines, it defines powerful deeds. Showing physical power, marvellous works. This is what is at our disposal when we have the Holy Spirit living in us.
Now, I would also like to bring the word authority. The word authority, because it says, “With authority and power.” Now the word authority in the Greek is the word that implies power of choice. So, Jesus, when He spoke and His teaching carried so much authority that He can just decide what happens in the spirit. Whether the spirit goes where it comes. You remember the word demons, they say, “Ok, don’t cast us out before our time please allow us to go into the swine’s.” He had that type of authority. He had the power of choice. I’m getting somewhere here. He had the power of choice. It means the liberty of doing as one pleases. Amen. Liberty of doing as one pleases.
Now, let me take you back a little bit about the sign. Remember Samson and Delilah, Samson was a mighty man, and he was a Nazarene and he was separated and consecrated by God to defeat the Philistines. But Samson, he lived a double life standard. He was very careless, but when you look at his life, I just want to bring attention to the sign. We all know that the power that he had it was not because of his own physical strength. Amen. I’m sure Samson was even thinner than me – I’m convinced, amen. But he had a sign of the seven locks on his head that was the sign that the anointing is within him. He played with the Philistines so many times when he was giving information to Delilah. But his problems, his affections were set on the world, but he had the power. You still have the power while your affections are set on the world.
You know, I like when Jesus was saying to this woman, “Woman, has anyone condemned you?” She said, “No one Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I.” And He said, “Go your way and sin no more.” I believe, I strongly believe that Jesus was not saying it so that just for His own prop-up to say, “If I catch you sinning there will be trouble.” He said, “Don’t sin no more because you might not get this chance, they might not bring you to Me that I can rescue.” Because God is not the God of second chances, He is the God of many chances. He will forgive you again and again. Again, and again. But there will come a time when you are out of line, you don’t want to be found in that place of danger where the devil can take you out. Amen.
So, Samson with his affections set and put on the things of the world. He had the power the sign was there. It was not the locks. Because after they made so many ropes they made so many things trying to tie him down. I’m telling you, there is nothing, there is nothing that can tie you down as long as you have the power. Even your past mistakes, amen. It can’t tie you down. Those cravings and those addictions. No matter how strong they are. They don’t lose their strength. All that you need to do, you need to edify yourself and build yourself up. Strengthen yourself. Keep on praying in the Holy Spirit then you become stronger, then they just left. Just like they did with Samson but there came a time when he did not realize that the hair was cut. The Bible says He did not know that the Lord had left him. It was not the hair. The hair was the sign the seven number of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Now, going back to authority. Now, when it comes to authority this is what I would like to say and this is what the Lord said to me. As I pursue my submitting to authority. He said, “Melusi authority and My authority is …..” Not invincible, no invisible, sorry I’m using a wrong way, “It’s not invisible. You can’t say you submit to Me and you don’t submit to Pastor John. It doesn’t work that way.” Now I want you to show you I’m not developing a doctrine here. But I want to show you the power twins here. Here we read that it was with authority and power. He said, “My authority is present, it’s with you all the time.” It’s not invisible. It’s not mystical. People say “I’m submitted to God.” But they want to bypass earthly authority. Amen. You know I can call Pastor John anytime for a meeting. He can pick up my call when I call him but I subject myself to Miranda. Because I’m training myself to submit to authority. We have this notion of wanting to bypass. That is called self importance. We think too highly of ourselves. Amen.
So, the authority of God is present. If you want to learn and cultivate a proper submission to the authority of God, submit to Pastor John. I’ve got so much to cover but let me see. According to my time, I have 15 minutes or so. According to my time but that time it says 11 o’clock. Do I still have time? Okay Pastor Christi, thank you. See I’m submitting to authority, practically. Amen. Practically. Glory to Jesus. Now it’s all about how I cooperate with authority. How I show honour by giving space. Amen. No no no. I’m ahead of myself. Can we please go to Acts Chapter 1 verse 4? With authority and power Jesus here did not achieve this only with authority but with power. The power brought about restoration and order which is a continuous perfect state of order in this man’s life. Now the authority we can say it was an enabler of the power to work. Now when we read Acts Chapter 1 verse 4 to 7 TPT 4 Jesus instructed them, “Don’t leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift the Father has promised. 5 For John baptized you in water, but in a few days from now you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit!” 6 Every time they were gathered together, they asked Jesus, “Lord, is it now the time for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” 7 He answered, “The Father is the one who sets the fixed dates and the times of their fulfillment. You are not permitted to know the timing of all that he has prepared by his own authority. (Acts 1:4-7 TPT)
Now authority, remember what we said authority was. Authority is a power of choice, liberty of doing as one pleases. Now Jesus is correcting something here. He is saying, “Don’t bother yourself with matters that are above your pay rate. It’s not for you to know when, all that you need to do is to follow instruction.” Amen. We need to trust the authority that is on Pastor John. We need to trust that it is the authority that is from God. Now, how does authority behave? It has a power of choice. There are certain decisions that he must make with his own comfort, not at every time we bother him, we follow him. “Pastor John when?”, “Pastor John what?” And so forth, you know?
You know, I like Pastor John. He is very honest. And when you come with something he says, “I like it. I am so excited, but now I need to go and pray because my soul is involved here.” He is honest like that, because he wants God’s best for us. Actually, so that even if he makes a mistake, you are so developed in the love of God that you are able to live and you appreciate his mistake. Remember we don’t correct upwards. No, we don’t. Amen. We don’t correct upwards. That’s what authorities about. And it’s funny that we know how to do it in the workplace. We do. The bosses, they make you do something that really, that are demeaning. Amen. But when we come to church, we question the times.
Instruction. Here we find an instruction which is a specific apostolic command to remain until they are empowered, and a place of sending is specific. God is precise And He knows the time He knows when. Maybe let’s bother ourselves at least with the what, especially not with the how. Amen
The disciples were troubled by their own individual expectations on how things will be and should look like. That’s what they were doing, they were bothering. The Bible says, and can you see, they were now too familiar with the resurrected Lord, they were no longer excited that He is resurrected. Now every time when they are with Him, “When are You going to do this thing? We joined You because we thought that the Kingdom is going to be restored. When are You going to set us free?” Jesus said, “You know what, right now an apostolic instruction is that you go and wait, and you shall be witnesses for Me to the ends of the world. But it’s not for you to know when the Father is going to do the restoration.” Hallelujah. Being under authority means, I know my boundaries. I don’t decide the program.
Well, I would like us to go to… I don’t think you have this scripture. But I would like us to go to Malachi. First, let’s go to Proverbs 23. Okay, can we start with Malachi? Apologies. Malachi chapter 1. Let’s read verse 6, the New King James. Malachi chapter 1 verse 6. Now it says here, 6 “A son honors his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My honor? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the Lord of hosts (Malachi 3:6 NKJV). Amen. Let’s go to Proverbs 23 verse 22. Now, here is wisdom, it says, 22 Listen to your father who begot you, And do not despise your mother when she is old (Proverbs 23:22 NKJV). The TPT. I am going to wait for you to get the TPT, verse 22, Ester. It says, 22 Give respect to your father and mother, for without them you wouldn’t even be here. Can I read it again? 22 Give respect to your father and mother, for without them you wouldn’t even be here. And don’t neglect them when they grow old. (Proverbs 23:22 TPT).
How is the neglection? It’s basically saying that, “Don’t get too familiar with them” because now you know their weaknesses. Amen. One thing about respect, it cannot be taken. Respect can’t be taken, it can only be given. You can’t take respect for yourself. Pastor John knows that very well. He doesn’t want to bring honour to himself but it is a decision, it is the work of the Holy Spirit that happens in your heart, that you give respect. Honour cannot be taken, honour can only be given. Amen. He cannot take honour for himself. You make a choice to honour the one that is greater than you. How do you do that? When he calls, when he makes a call you heed the call. You understand that this is authority all the way from heaven. I do not exist for myself, actually I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the Father. Hallelujah. I hope there is an escape route here before I am being stoned. Pastor Christi, is there a way to escape? Praise the Lord. Please don’t stone me.
Now the positioning, the signal from the host to the sender is, Wisdom is calling and it is well positioned. It is loud and it is clear. Please read on your own Proverbs 8 verse 1 to 3. The receiver – how are we positioned? Here is a big one. Galatians 6 – we don’t have to go there – the Lord says, God is not mocked. Remember we spoke about the times and the season. God fixed the times. This year we know what time it is. It is time for progression, advancing and promotion and seeing our highest expectation being fulfilled. This is the time. This is the time. Amen. Whether you believe it or not, God has set this time that we are going to advance. We are going to be progressive and we are getting promoted. Hallelujah.
There are certain things that are in my heart but I believe that they are beyond my pay rate. I have to check them with Pastor John first but nothing this year has taken us by surprise. Amen. Pastor John’s elevation and promotion, it was not a surprise. Yes, Dr. Jerry’s death, it is a surprise but nothing has taken us by surprise. Amen. Hallelujah. Remember last year, I think it was November, he stood here and he said, “It is time to stand tall. It is time to walk tall. You are going to see me, I am going to start walking tall.” Nothing takes us by surprise. God gives us His oracles and He speaks and we declare things into the spirit so that He can prepare our hearts.
Now, this verse in Galatians says God is not mocked. Now this was for me when God dealt with me when I was meditating on promotion. He said, “God is not mocked, Melusi. Promotion, anyone who is eligible for promotion is a servant.” Yes, it is a year for promotion but people have promoted themselves already. He said, “I have posted and positioned My people.” This is our positioning as Christians. “I have posted and positioned My people and everywhere I go, I can’t find them. They are AWOL, MIA – missing in action. I have posted My people to be servants at a servant post but My people are there.” Hello? Self-promotion. Can you see me? Wanting to be seen. Do you recognise me? They are at the post of being recognised. But not at servant post. He said, “My people, they want to wear gowns and they want to wear royal robes but I gave them the apron. They don’t like the apron but I told them that anyone who wants to be great amongst you, he should become a servant of all.” He said, “My people are busy with the want, wanting their way.” Who is going to recognise me? Can somebody see me? Self importance.
I am just, you know, I am not going to follow the notes, but I am just flowing with the Holy Spirit here. And He said, just like that book that Pastor John read for us where it speaks about the vomit. I had some kind of a similar vision. I remember when I wanted to tell my daughters the name of the book, when I was about to tell them they said, “No, Daddy. You are not supposed to know the name of the book. We are okay, this is how we are flowing.” “Okay, I am sorry.” You don’t want to get into trouble, because we have been with Pastor John, but I hold my horses. Amen.
So, He said, “Self promotion and self recognition breeds jealousy. And jealousy is the mother or the sister of a murdering spirit.” “But Lord, what do you mean?” He said, “You remember Cain and Abel? I had big hopes with Abel. But because a human will, taken by the authority of the devil, was involved, the brother murdered him.” I said, “But Lord, how do we murder?” “Exactly like that. Because when you are jealous you are comparing yourself. There is competition.” Amen.
I think I need to prove my vision. Let’s go to the Scripture at least. Let’s go to James chapter 4, you don’t have this Ester, James chapter 4. Let’s start with James chapter 4. And then we are going to go to James chapter 3. According to my watch I have two minutes. Believe me, Diepsloot people would want to have this service where I go according to my watch – I have two minutes. The anointing of Kenneth Copeland just comes on me when I am in Diepsloot and I am like, I am going to improve, I am going to defeat this thing, I am going to keep the time. Amen.
James, TPT. Believe there’s no James here. [Pastor Melusi searching for the book of James on his iPad] See you can’t trust this thing, let me go to … That’s why you need a Bible that is a real Bible. Just now they took it or do I need this? James chapter four, I’m about to close now. James chapter four verse two. It says, 2 You lust and you do not have. You murder and covert and cannot obtain (James 4:2 TPT). Not that people were murdering and killing one another. They were not killing one another. He was talking to the Church. There’s a strong desire, the covetousness, wanting somebody else’s stuff, who they are. Comparing yourself with somebody else. Then how do you murder? You don’t pray them into their assignment. Now, here’s the thing. 3 You ask and you do not receive because you ask a miss, and then verse 4 says 4 “Adulterers and adulterers! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4 NKJV) I just want to read the TPT. It says in verse two, 2 You jealously want what others have so you begin to see yourself as better than others. You scheme with envy and harm others to selfishly obtain what you crave- that’s why you quarrel and fight. And all the time you don’t obtain what you want because you won’t ask God for it! (James 4:2 TPT) Let’s go to chapter three. I think verse 14. Now here’s the thing here.
I’ll read from verse 13. 13 “If you consider yourself to be wise and one who understands the ways of God, advertise it with a beautiful, fruitful life guided by wisdom’s gentleness. Never brag or boast about what you’ve done and you’ll prove that you’re truly wise. Verse 14. 14 But if there is bitter jealousy or competition hiding in your heart, (James 3:13-14 TPT) you see, they can hide. Jealousy can hide. And if you sense that you are jealous of somebody else and who they are, the only thing to do is to come clean with the Lord because you become murderous. Amen. Remember what Pastor John said on the 14th of April. He says, Anyway, I like it when it says, then you will be God’s servant, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill the assignment God gives you. God’s servant. Every part of scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another, showing us the truth. Every time you say, “I want to do my thing.” This is what Pastor John was saying. I want to do my thing. I don’t want to do what I know the Word says. Correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s ways. I tell you this, this is just for free, now this morning. If you accept the fact that you have rebellion in your heart, you will be better capable of dealing with it.
Come on. That is why people leave us because they don’t want to accept the fact that there is a rebellion that is at play and there’s a rebellion that is pulling them away. And the Lord said to me, the spirit of jealousy is like a vomit and it delays people not to progress, not to be promoted because already they are promoting themselves and I’m coming bearing gifts and I want to find them where I left them. But I can’t find any of them. Who am I going to promote because I am not mocked. I’m not going to promote people just because it’s a season of promotion. Only servants can be promoted. Hallelujah.
Now, I want to close with this; 2012, this is a scripture that the Lord called me personally to Pastor John. Pastor John asked me to share at the men’s camp. He phoned me and he told me that he wants me to share something and I went to the Word, but this scripture, it’s like the Lord did not allow me to share it as something that I was preparing about, we took another direction. But, praise God, it was still blessed.
Now, this is a scripture in John 17. I have until half past, I have 7 minutes? [Pastor Christi: Yes, Pastor Melusi.] Yes. 7 minutes. You can do this, Pastor Melusi. There is a lot that I had to omit. Amen.
Now, this is a scripture in John 17 verse 1 to 8. 1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. You will know when the hour has come. You will have a witness. …the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. 6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me… (John 17:1-6 NKJV)
Now, this was the Jesus who was walking on earth. If the established religion heard Him praying this prayer, it was blasphemy. He was not speaking from a place of privilege, but He was speaking from a place of revelation and assignment. He knew His ancient path and He spoke it with the Father. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. (John 17:7 NKJV)
We need to come to that place. You know, I was hoping to do some discourse here with some historical research and everything, you know. But the apostolic, I don’t want to say it’s a movement, but the apostolic calling and the anointing did not begin in the New Testament. It’s God’s ancient plan. You remember that scripture that was brought by Pastor Garth in the Amplified, Genesis 1:28? That with all the resources, the vast resources, of the earth you serve God and you serve man.
God wanted us to fill the earth. He calls it that God wanted people to send out colonies. The word colonies is a group of people who are sent by a superior power to go and establish and occupy an unoccupied land. From the beginning.
Now, God worked this way. He had His chosen people. The lineage of the people that you read about, the Holy Spirit put it there deliberately because that was the passing of government from one person to another. And when the government was passed, it eventually got to Noah. But, there were those people who… We get to understand that the Messiah that time, could walk with people because they were so spiritually alive, like Enoch. He literally walked with God. And I want to tell you this morning that you walk with God daily. He walks among you. He lives with you. But the problem; our affections are squeezing the Perfect State of Being that is in us. But that is what we’re pressing into. Amen.
When Jesus was praying this prayer, He said from the beginning I had this with You. Now, this is what He said, they have believed that everything that You have given Me is from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. (John 17:8 NKJV) That word sent is Apostolos. Jesus was a special sent One of God.
Not everybody can be an apostle. Not everyone can be an apostle. No, actually, not everyone can be rich. Ja. You see the affections. Not everyone can be rich. Not everyone will marry. Because we’re not all about marrying and accumulating stuff and buying houses. We are about assignment. You will fulfil your assignment. What is it that you want so strongly that you compromise what God has for you? Amen.
We all want cars and houses and clothes and food. Holidays. Hallelujah. Thank God that we have given Him our holidays. And I would like to encourage you, please give Him also your Fridays. It’s a wonderful thing that you can give God your holy Friday. It becomes a practice. Because that’s when, on Friday, that’s when we infused with the world and it squeezes… Oh my goodness, what have I done with people’s Fridays? We must be excited about church. Amen.
Now, this is when I received Pastor John as straight from God, for me. For me, this is the word that God gave me; that he is a sent one. He has given me all the words that are from the Father and today I believe that everything that he has given me is straight from the Father. For what? For my nourishment. For my growth. For my establishment. Amen. It is time, it is time that we see Pastor John for who he really is. Believe me, he did not pay me to say this. Hallelujah. Glory to Jesus. It is that time. It is that time that we are not contaminated with how the world receives everything that has to do about church. We are not taught by the world how we do church.
Pastor John is sent by God so that we can occupy new territories. I don’t want to go to all the studies of an apostle being an admiral and everything, but I want to say it is from the beginning and we are still continuing and he is the special messenger from God. Did you hear him when he preached at Brother Jerry’s church? It was very apostolic. Let those who have ears hear. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.
Well, I think I’m going to end here. I think it’s the right place to stop. But, God bless you. I hope you got something out of this. And I hope you are strong. I hope you have strength and might in you. The Word has strengthened you and the love of God is flowing and keeps on developing and growing, amen. Hallelujah.
Father, I pray for Your people, Your servants. I thank you, Lord, that You establish things, right now, in their hearts. You settle matters and issues, right now, in their hearts. I thank you, Father, that You allow them to see who they are in You. You allow them, You open their eyes, You flood their spiritual eyes with everything that You’ve got for them. Thank you, Lord, that they are assured, they have confidence, they are bold in following their assignment with Pastor John. We thank you, Father, that You have given us this honour and this privilege. We thank You for this revelation knowledge power that we can see clearly, we can believe that really and truly he is a man sent from God. I thank you, Lord, that that anointing that is upon him will touch each and every matter, each and every issue, each and every circumstance. I thank You that as we are joined together in unity, the anointing flows and it touches places that we never thought would be touched. In the name of Jesus, I thank You for the power of the Holy Ghost that is setting us free during this time of crossover. I thank You that the battles we’ve been defeated in, that we are now mightier and stronger to overcome. We are progressing, we are advancing and we are being promoted and we are realising our highest expectations being fulfilled. In Jesus’ name and everybody says, amen. Hallelujah.
Well, I think this time we just say bye. Bye, everybody. Thank you.
