MESSAGE HIGHLIGHT:

Power of Resurrection Part 2 – Ps John Bendixen (JHB)

Thank You for designing and creating the body of Christ – I see Jesus in each other, and I learn
from the Jesus in each other. I grow from the Jesus in each other.
Brother Jerry was saying, you’re going to see the faith people – I am going to stand, I am going
to keep standing, I am not going to quit. My faith is not about how good a government situation
is, but my faith is about how good God is to me no matter what the government situation.
How much power does it take to raise someone from the dead? The only One who has that
power is God the Father. He has the power. He’s my Lord and my Saviour and He lives in me.
There is something that’s in me that’s much more powerful than death. The power of grace and
real future is in the power God used for resurrection and then sending the Holy Spirit to partner
with me – my new life with the same power – the power that He used to raise Jesus from the dead
is now the same power that lives in me.
How much power does it take to raise someone from the dead? 2 Corinthians 1:8
8We think you
ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of
Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we
would never live through it.
9
In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on
ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead (2 Corinthians 1:8-9 NLT).
God raises the dead.
10And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We
have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us (2 Corinthians 1:10 NLT). My
trust is in God even though I face such difficulties and such trouble that I didn’t think I would
make it.
There is power that raises the dead that lives in me. I have a real living relationship with Jesus and
know that He’s got that same power to resurrect my emotions, resurrect my thoughts, resurrect
my life. I am always hopeful. I am always thankful. Like the Apostle Paul that says, “I trust in that
God, and even though we didn’t think we would make it, we’re still here because His power was
there for us”.
16
If the dead aren’t raised up, that would mean that Christ has not been raised up either.
17And if
Christ is not alive, you are still lost in your sins and your faith is a fantasy.
18
It would also mean
that those believers in Christ who have passed away have simply perished.
19
If the only benefit of
our hope in Christ is limited to this life on earth, we deserve to be pitied more than all others! (1
Corinthians 15:16-19 TPT). I really do believe what I say I believe; I no longer have pity but I have
power. I don’t want pity for anything. I want to demonstrate my power that is the power of God in
me that comes out of me.
My light that shines is greater than the darkness around me and the darkness that is around me
will have to submit to the light; the darkness cannot remain where there is light. I am a living
example of the power of the resurrection life, that power to uphold me and up gird me and
strengthen me, even when I don’t think I will make it – God is always there for me.
I understand that I have died to everything that died with Jesus and I am resurrected with the
same power that is the resurrection life of Jesus.
I identify with the man that has been resurrected – it’s got life, it’s got power to overcome and
death cannot touch me again. I don’t make my life about the vessel; I make my life about the
eternal life that’s inside of me. I live in the resurrection identity.
I have access to a completely different dimension of living – I can see what others don’t see, and
have the power to live in what I see. I am resurrected; I live in a new dimension of life. I identify
with the life of God so that I can become useful to the community.
11He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the
kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12For whoever has, to him more will be
given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken
away from him (Matthew 13:11-12 NKJV). I’m a new creature, I have a whole new creative life I
must live and the power of resurrection lives through me. I understand the mysteries of God and
the life that God says I can live. My life is what I see spiritually and what I see from God; I have a
place that I live by what I see because God gives me the power to live by what I see.
7The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than
other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! (Deuteronomy 7:7 NLT). My identity is in
resurrection and I am more numerous and greater and more powerful than those that are already
dying because they can’t even see they’re dying.
8Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your
ancestors. That is why the Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from
the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.
9Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is
indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and
lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands (Deuteronomy 7:8-9
NLT). I get the lavish love because I believe that it’s that love that is part of the resurrection
power. The church is me and being let down should never be a measure of my belief in God and
Jesus.
19
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
20
that
you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for
He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land (Deuteronomy
30:19-20 NKJV),
21Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs
18:21 NKJV).
21Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the
consequences (Proverbs 18:21 TPT).
If I keep silent, I am not creating a life structure. There is no option regardless of my personality.
3Guard your words and you’ll guard your life, but if you don’t control your tongue, it will ruin
everything (Proverbs 13:3 TPT).
1My brothers and sisters, when I first came to proclaim to you the secrets of God, I refused to
come as an expert, trying to impress you with my eloquent speech and lofty wisdom.
2For while I
was with you I was determined to be consumed with one topic—Jesus, the crucified Messiah.
3
I
stood before you feeling inadequate, filled with reverence for God, and trembling under the
sense of the importance of my words.
4The message I preached and how I preached it was not
an attempt to sway you with persuasive arguments but to prove to you the almighty power of
God’s Holy Spirit.
5For God intended that your faith not be established on man’s wisdom but by
trusting in his almighty power.
6However, there is a wisdom that we continually speak of when we
are among the spiritually mature. It’s wisdom that didn’t originate in this present age, nor did it
come from the rulers of this age, who are in the process of being dethroned. Coronavirus and
death and poverty and economic disaster are busy becoming all the more powerful, it is a sure
sign, the very fact that it is doing what it’s doing in the earth, is a sure sign that God’s power is
about to defeat it. I’m in the church that’s going to be one of those that defeat it; I am busy
defeating it every day. I’m living as a person that has no impact by coronavirus. I’m living as a
person that no impact of the coronavirus is in my relationships, neither is there an impact on my
economic circumstances. There is no impact that it can do to defeat me. And the fact that it exists
is a sure sign that it is just on the brink of being destroyed.
7
Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful wisdom that comes from God, hidden before
now in a mystery. It is his secret plan, destined before the ages, to bring us into glory.
8None of
the rulers of this present world order understood it, for if they had, they never would have
crucified the Lord of shining glory. The minute they crucified Him God’s power was able to
resurrect Him.
God is the original Author of everything. How much power does it take to create everything? It
only takes the author and the authority of the one that can create everything. He spoke it. So He
believes in His words so much that He knows that when He speaks whatever He speaks it is
created because between the Son and the Holy Spirit, They become the Word in action and They
become the power for the Word to be in action.
“My word still stands, it has never changed, I’m still the same.” It’s the same word that raised me
from the death when I was separated from God and then He said, “You believe in My Son and I
will recreate you.” Because I was dead to God, I was alienated from God, I was as those that
never knew God, but when I received Him into my life, He recreated my spirit man to house God.
The same power that made everything is the same power that resurrected Him, is the same power
that I have in me because I am a new creation. Therefore with the same power in me, my words
must be guarded because when I speak words, they create.
I experience God’s order. When God’s order is my value system, I have pure life.
I believe in the resurrected power of God living inside of me – I believe it, I believe it – I believe
that everything that I speak out of my mouth that is in line with His will, in line with His Word, and
if I am not sure about anything else, I go back to His Word and then I let that living Word come
out of me and speak into existence things that do not exist as though they already existed – faith.
9This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our
ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers.
10But God
now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit, Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost
heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things.
11After
all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses, except for that
person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit,
the Spirit of God.
12For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so
that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us.
13And we
articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words
taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words.
14Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make
no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only
discovered by the illumination of the Spirit
15Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully
evaluate all things.
In this time of where everything is in chaos and confusion; I have resurrected life in me. I have the
life of Jesus Christ in me. This very life shields me from sickness and disease. I do what the
government is asking me to do – that does not diminish that I believe that the life of Christ in me
kills any virus or germ that comes into my body. When everybody else is losing money and losing
their job that does not apply to me. If need be, God is creating an opportunity that’s going to be
better for me. My overall prosperity will be better because I have words of Spirit and revelations
of Spirit – that is what drives my future.
That same power that raised Ps John up from financial ruin, that same power that raised Ps John
up from a marriage that could have failed, that same power that raised Ps John up that could
have lost his kids, that same power that raised Ps John up from inadequacy and failure – that has
caused him to be in Christ what He has made Ps John – that same power is mine. These are the
words that I receive into my heart and live them fully in my life.
Thank You, Jesus, that I am a son of God. Thank You for the resurrection life that beats in my
spiritual heart. I choose to live in life, to live in blessing. Thank You, Lord, that Your favour and
Your abundance is my portion in Jesus’ name. I don’t have to be worried of any of my frailties or
my weaknesses or my poor judgment. I hide behind the cross and the person of Jesus Christ
therefore I live in resurrection power, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
When somebody comes to me with an alternative reality to faith, my words find a way of not
judging them, criticizing them, running them down, or alienating myself from them. My words
guard my heart, guard my mouth – and I still have a reasonable relationship.
“I’m a son of God, I’m a son of God. I live by the resurrection life of God and every word that
comes out of my mouth is a power word that comes. It’s for my future, it’s for my recovery, it’s for
my restoration, it’s for my blessing, it’s for my future. I speak it out, I speak it out.” My words
guide, direct, elevate, strengthen. I don’t let the words that are in the world right now be the
words that I live by. Even though I adhere to things, I don’t let those words, I don’t let those
behaviour patterns undermine my future with God.
