Big and Bold Part 10: Kingdom Finances Part 5 – Ps John & Sharon Bendixen (WTB)
“Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” surely, that prayer is the foundation prayer of everything that we need to live by – that the Kingdom of God will be on earth as it is in Heaven.
We say: I recognise the time and recognise what God wants me to do with my resources so that in the time to come, I can have so much more resources because that’s really what He wants to do. He wants to bless; He wants me to use the resources that He has already given me so that He can give me a whole lot more because He wants me to use it for the Kingdom of God.
16I will make My home in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be My people (2 Corinthians 6:16 TPT).
We say: I do nothing unless my Father does it, I say nothing unless my Father says it. He gave His whole, everything about His life, He gave over to obeying the Father one hundred percent.
We say: Through the revelation knowledge of the messages to all of the Heritage of Faith people, I get onto God’s agenda. What God is saying and doing right now in the earth, in the local church because that is what I am responsible for – that’s where my eternal investment gets made, is that I have sought the Kingdom of God as God wants it to come on earth right now in my time, on God’s timeline.
“What is my more for?” – so My people can do more for the Kingdom of God. I have a very big shift in my thinking, shift in my heart and in my lifestyle. He wants me to come up to a higher level of seeking first the Kingdom of God. In the future, when I get my more, then I say this – so I can do more for the Kingdom of God.
It’s the time of God now; I get this deep in my spirit now. I decree it right now, “God is making me His vessel. He will use me to be a distributor of finances in this next great move of God.” “What is my more for and what is it going to be for in this new era going forward?
15Speaking to the people, he went on – “Take care! Protect yourself against the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot.”
16-19Then he told them this story: “The farm of a certain rich man produced a terrific crop. He talked to himself: ‘What can I do? My barn isn’t big enough for this harvest.’ Then he said, ‘Here’s what I’ll do: I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll gather in all my grain and goods, and I’ll say to myself, Self, you’ve done well! You’ve got it made and can now retire. Take it easy and have the time of your life!’ 20“Just then God showed up and said, ‘Fool! Tonight you die. And your barnful of goods—who gets it?’ 21“That’s what happens when you fill your barn with Self and not with God.” (Luke 12:15-21 MSG).
We say: I am spiritual, I know what to do with the surplus, I know what to do even with the basics. The basics create the surplus, the surplus I now know what to do with because I knew what to do with the basics.
We say: Whatever I invest in the Kingdom of God is an eternal investment – “And my investment is waiting for me.”
2Thus says the Lord of hosts: These people say, The time is not yet come that the Lord’s house should be rebuilt (Haggai 1:2 AMPC). 3Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house [of the Lord] lies in ruins? (Haggai 1:3-4 AMPC).
We say: I get God’s viewpoint. This is God’s new era and He’s building new. He’s building big. He’s building bold. He’s building in His Kingdom. It’s His time. I am conscious of the time.
4Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house [of the Lord] lies in ruins? (Haggai 1:4 AMPC).
4Yet now be strong, alert, and courageous, (O Zerubbabel), says the Lord; be strong, alert, and courageous, (O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest); and be strong, alert, and courageous, all you people (the land), says the Lord, and work! For I am with you, says the Lord of hosts (Haggai 2:4 AMPC).
12Then Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel and Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people [who had returned from captivity], listened to and obeyed the voice of the Lord their God [not vaguely or partly, but completely, according to] the words of Haggai the prophet, since the Lord their God had sent him, and the people [reverently] feared and [worshipfully] turned to the Lord (Haggai 1:12 AMPC). This is what the Lord is expecting of us as a people right now. This is the collective greatness He wants us all to come up to now.
We say: God wants me to focus on making this platform worthy of the message, worthy of our twenty plus years of relationship and discipleship development which He wants to bring to the world. This is a time right now where God is saying, “It is time to build a place”.
42And they steadfastly persevered, devoting themselves constantly to the instruction and fellowship of the apostles, to the breaking of bread [including the Lord’s Supper] and prayers. 43And a sense of awe, (reverential fear) came upon every soul, 45And they sold their possessions (both their landed property and their movable goods) (Acts 2:42-43,45 AMPC). 32Now the company of believers, was of one heart and soul, and not one of them claimed that anything which he possessed was [exclusively] his own (Acts 4:32 AMPC). – This is a biblical example of a strategic time of God when the Holy Spirit moved on the hearts of men and women in collective greatness.
We say: Whatever the Holy Spirit is leading me to do that I must be obedient. My heart is open to want the Holy Spirit to move on my heart to follow through what He is telling me to do. I want Him to tell me what I should do. This is for my heart and for my heart going forward. God, through these scriptures, can get a hold of my heart.
Is there a place where I can invest in the Kingdom of God rather than – at this time – rather than in myself?
In my heart relationship with God I ask Him, “Lord, is there any of this that you have need of?”
The world system has been working on my heart, it’s been working in my life for years and years while my kids have been raised – it says, my future lives are all dependent on a performance that we have in the world system.
We say: I don’t assume that my kids’ lives are what the world system says my kids’ lives must become. You have a plan. You’ve got a plan for my kids. I want to know what Your plan is? I inquire from You.
We say: I educate my kids but I don’t assume that the education that the world system is giving them is the education that God will use going forward, because even as I am educating them in the normal things like Maths and English and Sciences, I educate them equally in the ways of God; in my home, in my prayer time, in the way that I walk with God, as I go to church, as I come to church every week, as I go to Bible School. As I do things my children watch me – how I live for God or how I don’t live for God. As they go to school, they realise that they go to school to learn but not learning for their future, they’re just learning. Their future depends on God.
We say: He’s asking me right now to consider a Kingdom mentality, a heavenly mentality about my money. I make the shift. I don’t depend on the world’s way of thinking about money for my future, I trust Him with my money for the future. I live in houses, I own property, I have a good life, but I have a Kingdom mentality about it.
