MESSAGE HIGHLIGHT:

Being The Best – Ps Andy May (WTB)

Am I the best me that I can be? Whatever you’re doing in life – are you the best at it? Are you the best me that you can be? You were made to fly. We were never meant to grovel in the dirt of this earth.

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

(Romans 8:37 NKJV)

We were made to win. There are no losers in this church.

I believe that Jesus planned when He died on the cross, to take away all the negative parts of me and make me like Himself. Prosperity to Jesus means there is no situation that I’ve faced that I can’t handle.

Vince Lombardi’s definition of winning says:

“Winning is not something, winning is not a sometime thing, it’s an all time thing. You don’t win once in a while. You don’t do things right once in a while. You do them right all the time. Winning is a habit.”

Jesus wants us to be whole – spirit, soul, and body. That means I must develop my mind, I must take care of my body, and obviously allow my spirit to grow.

Leadership in Jesus is summed up in two words, “Follow Me.” The most powerful form of leadership is example. Who could teach you how to win better than the One who created you?

Say: I am blessed, I am becoming more like Jesus everyday, I’m a winner; I’m not an undergoer, I’m an overcomer.

To believe Jesus is to become like Him. You talk like Him. You raise the dead like Him. You preach like Him. You love like Him. You give like Him.

7 Qualities to being a whole person:

    • Character: what is your attitude towards yourself, do you like yourself? Is your private life disciplined? To God it’s more important that you have a holy private life than what you do in public. Discipline your private life. My attitude to myself is positive, my private life is clean.
    • Calling:  What do you want me to do Lord, so I can concentrate on being so good at it, that people will see it in me and say, I want to be like you, what is it about you? Keep your focus. Write down your vision.
    • Communication: Sharing yourself with somebody. We communicate to change. To change into the image of Christ.
    • Caring: To touch people. Support the people you influence.
    • Criticism: It comes from many sources but the worst kind of criticism is when you criticize yourself. We need to be careful when reacting to criticism and we have to forgive any unjust criticism.
    • Commitment:  Commitment means I’m going to see this through no matter what. If you want to grow strong spiritually, you’ve got to commit yourself to your church, no matter what. If things don’t go the way you want them to, you can pray.
    • Crown:  What crown are you working for? Myself or God? Let go and trust God in every area of your life.

Remember my head is my calling. My heart is my character. I communicate and I care. I digest criticism. I have a commitment and I have a crown. Somewhere in one of those you might find a little weak spot. Work on it. Take action. Every time you go to a church service, you must go home with at least one thing to change. Everyone is here by divine appointment. Every person has got the potential to be completely Christ-like.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

(Hebrews 11:6 NKJV)

Faith without work is dead. If you’re living by faith, you take action. He wants you if you come to Him to expect the reward. I can’t please Him any other way than to believe in Him and trust Him.

Say: One thing I do, I want to dwell in Your presence Lord. I want to look at Your perfection and I want to talk to You and walk with You. Letting go and know that You are God.
