1 It’s crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we’ve heard, so that we don’t drift off (Hebrews 2:1 MSG). Crucial implies that this is very important. Don’t just pass over this, because these things that we’ve heard still work, no matter the conditions in the world.
Where you go to church today could mean life or death. Go to a church where the word of faith is being preached on a consistent basis. Just stick with the word of faith, because it’s going to get you where God wants you to go.
19 Holding faith and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck (1 Tim 1:19 KJV). If you let go of your faith, you could end up shipwreck. I’ve come too far, and I’ve spent too many years standing on the Word of God, living by faith, to throw it all away now and end up shipwreck. No, my ship is going to reach the other side.
Faith is still the victory that overcomes the world. Faith is still the method by which God wants us to live, the just shall live by faith. Faith has never been a movement. Faith is a lifestyle.
Where do you turn for your inspiration? Do you turn to the world? Or do you turn to the Word? if you want to be inspired by God, then you need to quit listening to what the world says, and pay more attention to what the Word says.
Jesus said, 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Mathew 24:35 NKJV). Whatever is happening in the world is subject to change. But the Word of God never changes. The Word of God is eternal.
Isaiah says, 8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the Word of our God shall stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8 NKJV). The Message Translation says, 8 …our God’s Word stands firm. The word firm means ‘secure, unwavering, not yielding to pressure and it is not subject to revision.’
We don’t make God’s Word line up with our circumstances, we make our circumstances line up with God’s Word.
Paul said, 18 While we look not at the things that are seen, but the things that are not seen, for the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are not seen, are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV). Things which are seen are subject to change. In other words, that is the same thing as temporal or temporary.
So, whatever you’re going through right now, just determine that you’re not going to put a lot of confidence in it, because if you can perceive it with your five physical senses, it is subject to change. Financial crises, lack, sickness, coronavirus – it is subject to change.
I say: So why worry? Why be distracted over something that’s going on around me right now, when it’s subject to change. The Word is not subject to change. I keep this book in front of me, in my heart. And anytime a crisis arrives, I just say, That’s subject to change. I’m going to look to the Word of my God, and my God is going to fulfill it,. I believe it and I decree it. And I believe I’ll just praise God in advance for it.
Luke 10:38-42 (NKJV)
Martha was overly occupied and distracted. That’s what’s happened to a lot of Christians today. They’re focusing on the wrong things and they’re becoming distracted. They are letting go of the basic principles of the life of faith. And usually, if they don’t get a grip on themselves, and get back to doing what they once did, then they’re going to end up shipwrecked, just like the Apostle Paul said.
The Message Translation says, 38-40 …Mary who sat before the Master, hanging on to every word he said (Luke 10:38-40 MSG).
Mary’s attitude was, “Jesus, I’m going to sit here and hear Your Word and I don’t care what Martha’s doing. I don’t care what anybody else in the house is doing. Your Word is the most important thing and that’s what I’m going to focus on.”
Jesus said to Martha – one thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it. The word essential means of greater importance. What was the one thing she chose? To hear the Word of God. And that’s what you need to do today, if you haven’t made that decision, make it now.
The Lord said to Brother Jerry in 2021, Tell the people, that if they will not be shaken, by all the chaos, and all the disorder that is in the world around them, that I will cause them to experience the open hand of God, and I will create for them supernatural, extraordinary and unusual provision.
One thing is of greater importance, keep seeking the Word. Keep focusing on the Word, keep studying the Word, keep applying the Word, don’t ever let go of it. Don’t allow all the voices in the world to rob you of your hope and your joy. There is hope for your future. I want to say to you right now by the Holy Spirit, your future is bright. And the best is yet to come. God’s not going to allow you to fail. So don’t give up on Him and don’t give up on His Word.
Jesus highlighted two things concerning the signs of the end:
Number one, see that no man deceive you.
Number two, see that you be not troubled.”
Now that says to me, that we can live in a world that is full of trouble and yet not be troubled by it.
7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV).
1 Peter 5:9, 9 Resist the devil steadfastly in the faith. (1 Peter 5:9 KJV).
I say: Satan, in the name of Jesus, I reject fear in my life. It’s not of God and therefore, I refuse to receive it. I choose to trust God. I choose to stay in faith and as a result of it, I choose to win.
God has said to me to tell you that, In 2022 if you will not be shaken by all the chaos and disorder. That your instructions right there, that’s your rhema from God. This is your “launching out into the deep word.”
I say: I refuse to be shaken by all the chaos and disorder. I choose to put the Word of God first place and I choose to make it final authority.” That’s my rhema from God.
Pastor John:
I think it’s clear to us that we have to make a choice, that we are going to believe God. Make that lifetime decision, that I’m going to trust God. If you understand that these principles of the Word of God work, that if you will meditate on the Word day and night, you will speak the Word of God, you will have the results of the Word of God.
