Everything we do in life is a response to God, and how we respond to God really dictates and determines how everything goes in our life.
Success is not money. Success is not a position in life, in terms of, you’re the president or you’re the CEO or something of that nature. Success is not an athletic achievement or a performance-related achievement. Success is how you respond to God, because anything else that happens in your life, if you have God involved in the decision, then you will have success.
Not saying what God says and adding to it, adding yourself in there will make you doubt what God said. Adding to it means you think what God said is not enough.
God’s instruction to Adam and Eve was a life choice, spirit life instruction. His instruction to us is still to our spirit. The devil is communicating with everything that relates to our body and soul. He speaks to our senses.
The enemy knows that if you could change the importance of the order; don’t live by what God said, don’t live by what your spirit tells you to do, live by what your eyes see, live by what you decide is good or not, live by what you think is desirable. Live by those choices. Now you’re in a place where he can get you because you think that what God said is not enough.
What occurred was that the power of the sin and the dispute with God and the disagreement with God never occurred until he got into agreement with her. Their joint choice put them in a place where they now both saw they were naked.
The enemy of God wants to get all of us to be in agreement to what we must do in our soul. The enemy of God managed to change the order of the way you access the power source that God’s given us.
God gave us an order of how to live: Spirit first. Then your spirit can feed your soul, and your soul will control your body.
Jesus came to reverse the order back to God’s original intent. He said, “I’ve come to speak the Word of God to you so that the Word of God can clean you. It can change the order. It can reverse the order.” You live in the vine by the Word that He gives us.
God is a relationship God. He’s not a process God. He’s not an organised church God. Church should be the order of God, but it shouldn’t be the organisation of God, and people shouldn’t come to a church because the organisation is excellent, they should come to the church because God is present. And God is always present in a relationship between us and Him and then He’ll be present in a relationship that we have with each other.
There are things that happen in the Christian world that are as easily equitable to; what’s your vision and where does your vision come from? The challenge we all have is, what’s the difference between soul and the spirit?
When the Word of God comes that is sharper, it’s going to divide, it’s going to separate what is soul and what is spirit. (Heb 4:13)
There’s a difference between positive thinking and Bible thinking. There’s a difference between positive confessions and Bible confessions. If you can find it in the Bible, then you can speak it. If you don’t find it in the Bible, then don’t speak it. That’s where the Word of God separates and divides what’s in the spirit and what’s in the soul.
Why does it take the Word of God to discern the difference? Because only the Word of God can do it. Human emotion can’t do it. Human intellect can’t do it. Human education can’t do it. And I can use the Word of God to justify myself every day of the week. It doesn’t make it God’s will. We have to look at the motives of our heart.
When you have the Word in your soul, the Word and the soul together create a whole new level of power in your life, a whole new level of liberty, a whole new level of increase and of breakthrough in your life. When your spirit and your soul are divided by the Word of God and you know where it’s coming from. Because your soul is powerful to execute on the Spirit of God in your spirit.
Pray: Lord, I ask Your Word to divide what’s in my soul and what’s in my spirit for Your glory and for my growth, in Jesus’ name.
