MESSAGE HIGHLIGHT

Pastor John: Remember in March the Lord said that there would be crisis and chaos? But if we will keep our eyes open, it will not come near us. And in recent times, the Lord’s been very clear that, actually, opportunities are going to present themselves to us. And I’m going to encourage you more that if you do whatever you can to accumulate cash, get rid of debt if you can, because I think there’s opportunities coming. Now, don’t be surprised if there’s more chaos and crisis that’s coming down the road.

Pastor Justin: God’s got a plan for each one of you, and it doesn’t matter where you might find yourself right now, but I guarantee you, there’s things that He’s marked your life with in your journey that the Lord will continue to bring you back to and always say, “Don’t forget about this.” Even in the midst of running from God, in the midst of parting with my friends, there was something in me that was crying out for my legacy. You have to surrender to that legacy.

I’m so grateful for this Heritage of Faith (Witbank). So grateful for Doctor Savelle. I also count it a joy, Pastor John, to stand in this pulpit because he prophesied many years ago that this was going to be that last days’ church. Heritage of Faith is here for such a time as this, whether here or whether in Crowley, Texas.

24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. (Hebrews 11:24-26, NKJV). There was a legacy that God was desiring to establish over the people of God, with Moses being a deliverer.

18 This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord (Psalm, 102:15-18 NKJV). I believe we are that legacy and we are that people that have been created to praise the Lord. Your children will continue, and their descendants will be established before You. We are legacy.

1Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on the earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed (Psalm 112:1-2, NKJV). The King James says, 2 His seed, will be mighty in the earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed. We are His seed in the earth, and we are mighty. And we are the generation that’s blessed.

Legacy is for such a time as this. You’re not too old for legacy. It’s for each one of us. It’s for the person that’s in the business place; for the farmer; for the mom at home; the mom raising children; the real estate agent; the engineer; the minister. We, as born-again children of God, we are legacy in the earth. We are His seed in the earth, and we are mighty.

Psalm 127: 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like an arrow in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Each one of us is an instrument in the hand of God to destroy the enemy. What this actually means is this child that is an arrow in the hand of a warrior, they warn and they threaten the enemy at the gate and they tell the enemy to get out of my city. That is when you come together for corporate prayer and you come together as children of God. That’s what legacy is. Legacy in God is a threat to the enemy. That’s why the enemy wants to steal the Word. That’s why the enemy wants to steal vision and direction. That’s why he doesn’t want the next generation to step in to who they are and who they are in God.

Psalm 129: 1 Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth, Let Israel now say. As I look around, I know, each one of you, you’re no different than me. We’ve all had challenges to face. We’ve all had personal things. We’ve all made bad choices, maybe bad mistakes. The word afflict here means to bind, it means to oppress, it means to harass, it means to narrow, it means to squeeze. So many a time, the enemy has bound people. Because if they’re bound, then they can’t free any other person. If the enemy can keep our eyes dull and keep us from being able to see right things, then we’ll never be able to be the good ground till we bring forth the maximum harvest in our lives. Legacy has to be fulfilled.

2 Many a time they, the enemy, has afflicted me from my youth, but then it says, Yet they have not prevailed against me (Psalm, 129:1-2 NKJV). I decree that over each one of us today. It doesn’t matter what you might be facing emotionally right now and how you might have disappointed other people. I declare the enemy will not win over your destiny and will not win over your purpose, and I declare that he will not prevail against you. Because a legacy in this moment is more important than anything else you could pursue in life. In 2024, there’s nothing more important than a legacy in God.

4 The LORD is righteous; He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked (Psalm 129:3-4, NKJV). Whatever bondages, whatever things that the enemy is trying to put on you, I declare you need to recognize the fact that they have been cut through by Jesus Christ of Nazareth. They have been broken. You have a right to freedom because of what Jesus has already done at the cross. Ultimately, it’s your choice. It’s my choice.

Jesus destroyed satan. You say, “Well, Pastor Justin, you don’t know I still have this going on, and I still think this way, and I’m still going through that, and I’m still doing this.” No, you have to understand the enemy is not stronger than what God has already done. Don’t talk yourself out of your victory. The enemy doesn’t want you to step into legacy. Why? Because legacy is what is going to affect our entire communities. Because there’s someone on the other side that needs to be set free.

We need to have a shift in our thinking. We need to stop seeing ourselves as the disciples in the boat asking for Jesus to calm the storm. He already calmed the storm. He already gave us the Holy Ghost and peace and power and righteousness, and love and joy. He gave us everything that we have need of to walk successfully on this earth. We need to stop seeing ourselves as the disciples going to Jesus and start seeing ourselves as Jesus, going to the other side and having the ability to calm the storm for others.

Say: Devil, you can’t have my child’s legacy. Get off my legacy. Get off my assignment. I’ve got important things to do.

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked the disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” … 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”. 17Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:13-18 NKJV).

We’re building the Church on the rock of revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus is the Messiah. He’s the Deliverer. We have to understand the amazing exchange that took place. My unrighteousness for His righteousness. I was a sinner, now I’m a son. We have to start seeing ourselves in the revelation of who we are in God right now. Because it’s this revelation that the gates of hell can’t prevail against, the church, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Now we’re the sons of God. So now I’m legacy 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26, NKJV). I believe what’s just as important as knowing that Jesus is the Christ, is knowing that we are the children of the living God and when we stand up as the legacy of the living God, the gates of hell can not prevail against me in my family, my finances, my purpose, or my destiny. If you’re having issues in any area of your life and you’re tired of going the directions that you’ve been going, just start to change your identity with this, “I am a child of the living God.”

There’s a choice. I had to come to a point where Justin was no longer going to be the addict, the one that was sick, the one that had no direction, the one that had no future, but choosing. So Justin had to choose something different. 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin. That’s a choice. Are you going to choose a legacy that’s temporary, or are you going to choose the legacy that’s eternal? Moses esteemed 26 the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt (Hebrews 11:24-26, NKJV).

He was speaking into future things, so he was esteeming the reproach. Now this word reproach means the sufferings of Christ because there was a cause of Christ. He wasn’t just holding valuable the suffering of Christ, he was holding more valuable the cause of Christ. It’s about the cause. That’s what legacy has to do in 2024. It’s choosing the eternal legacy over the temporary pleasures of this world. But there’s a cause. He focused on, hear this; Kingdom results.

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us (Romans 8:16-18, NKJV). His suffering was obedience. I’m telling you, the momentary things, these things that you think that you’re suffering by letting go of, those things cannot be compared to the glory that will be revealed.

All of creation, all the earth is waiting on you and they don’t know it. But ultimately creation is groaning and they’re earnestly waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. Because it’s in the manifestation of the sons of God in the Church that the gates of hell won’t prevail against it. Legacy. The world is waiting on legacy. The world’s waiting on the legacy of Heritage of Faith.
