Hallelujah, glory! Aren’t you glad He gave you joy? Jah, He is a good God and He has given us joy. It is in us, we just have to release it by rejoicing, you rejoice with your mouth, from your heart, you rejoice in the Lord always. That’s what the Apostle Paul said: “I rejoice in the Lord always,” and then the scripture said and again I say “I will rejoice” and that’s how you know that joy is a choice. Because if God says to you “rejoice” you can’t say “I can’t”, you can say “I won’t”, but you can’t say “I can’t”. Because He will never tell you to do anything that you can’t do. Hallelujah.
When the Apostle Paul says “I rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice”, he knew that the joy of the Lord is our strength for life, to live life, to walk in the ways of God, it is our strength to have the abundant life that He’s given us. It is my choice to rejoice, say that with me, say, “It’s my choice to rejoice”. Say, “It’s my choice to rejoice”, Jah. I am so glad it’s my choice, no one can stop me, no one can stop me from rejoicing. Glory. You may be seated. Thank you, thank you music, music people.
Let’s pray as we approach God’s Word with reverence, with awe, with honour, with believing hearts, receiving hearts. Let’s pray. Father, thank You for Your anointing that is upon me and rises up big within me, to minister to Your people because Your anointing is Your burden removing, yoke destroying power, Father. Your anointing teaches us all things. Your Word says “Your anointing teaches us this morning, Your anointing abides permanently within us.” We stay knit to Your anointing this morning, as the scriptures come from Your heart, to our heart by the Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your anointing upon Your people, show us Your glory, today, Father in our hearts, in Jesus name, and we all say Amen. Glory to God.
So, the title of the series of teaching is called: “I will take the children”, and so I am here to tell you today that we have a great God, and He is a good God, and His desire is to deliver us from this present darkness.
We are according to the heart of God, the heart of God, to experience a new testament exodus. In our day because of the blood of Jesus, He brought redemption and salvation to save us from…, the Bible says, we are going to look at scripture now, here is our new, here is our new covenant exodus. Hallelujah.
Galatians one and verse four in the New Living Translation it says 4 Jesus, why did Jesus come? To give 17His life for our sins, our twisted ways, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. ((Gal 1:4 NLT)
Are you living in an evil world? Are we all living in an evil world? Yes, we are, we are, and then the CJB says this, the Christian Jewish Bible says; “4 who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us from the present evil world-system. (Gal 1:4 CJB) Now, our sins are our twisted ways, we got them from the present evil world-system. We got our twisted ways from the present evil world-system, that’s why Jesus came to deliver us from our twisted ways that we got from the evil present world-system. It is quite simple and plain. It is quite simple and plain.
John 3:16-17 from the Amplified Bible, it says here, 16 for God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He (even) gave us His only (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not (come to destruction or be lost), but have eternal life, when you get born again you get eternal life, the life force of God Himself in you that you can live by. For God, look at verse, 17 for God did not send the Son, Jesus is the Son, 17 for God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world (John 3:16-17 AMPC), the whole world, people, God send Jesus that the whole world, you have to know that, that the whole world might find salvation, and be made safe and sound through Him. He just got through saying that Jesus gave His life in order to rescue us from this evil world, in which we live, in order that He might deliver us from the present evil world-system. We can say it is the Egypt of our day, it is the Babylon of our day, it is the world-system of our day, it is the kingdom of darkness, right?
Then the scripture says a very powerful thing. 1 John 2:15, in the Amplified, 15 Do not love or cherish the world…, but that scripture got through saying God so loved the world, yes, He loves the world so that He can make it safe and sound in Him, but the world-system, there’s nothing in the world-system that God designed. Everything that God designed and planned is in His Kingdom. God does not look at the world-system and go “Ghee, I wish I thought of that, that’s smart.
I am here in 1 John 2:15, 15 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in this world-system. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him, (1 John 2:15 AMPC). Now, the Passion translation puts it this way in 1 John 2:15 15Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. Verse 16, look at this, 16 For all that the world can offer you, all that the world can offer us, the gratification or the satisfaction of your flesh, what you want to do, you want to have that, and you want to do this, and you want to do that in your flesh. The allurement of the things of the world, the obsession with status importance, some translations talk about the false glamour of the world, the deceitfulness of riches, none of these things come from the Father, none of these things come from the Father, but are from the world. He goes on to say “this world, or this world-system, and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God (1 John 2:15), can you see that? I don’t love the world, I love to do the will of God, I don’t love the world, I love to do the will of God.
What is the will of God? Everything is in His Bible, everything that Pastor John comes to minister to us, every Sunday you come to church, the scriptures, His will is in His Word. I love to do the Will of God. Hallelujah.
2 Corinthians 4:4, calls the devil, the ruler of this world, the ruler of this age, the god of this world, the devil who rules this world. Satan, there are different translations. Satan, who is the god of this evil world, that’s why God says, my child, please don’t love the world that satan is the god of. [Pastor Sharon laughing] Duh. You know what I mean. Please don’t love the world and the things in the world, and the allurement in the world and the false glamour of the world and all the pride and the status and the wanting to go after money the world goes after money, everything He has got for you is in His Kingdom. His ways of prospering, His ways of increase, His ways of health, His ways of relational success. You see? He is saying don’t love it. Don’t love it, because Satan is the god of it. So, don’t love it.
So, you say, ”Well, how can I not love it? How do I know, what of it, I love?” Those are excellent questions for you to talk to God about. Those are excellent things in your own personal heart and your relationship with God to say, “I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna, I won’t, I refuse to, I’m going to start saying that immediately, I will not love the things of this world. I don’t love the things of this world. Father, Father, where I love it, show me, show me,” you see? You have to be in relationship with the Lord and be knowing Him, to be flowing in the success of the scripture. You have got to be hearing for yourself, so that God can show you.
“This is greed now, here, Sharon. Sharon, you are greedy here now, you really want this thing and you will do anything to get it. No, I’ve got a way, come. Trust Me. Come, be consistent in your faith, get the promise in My Word”. You know? “No, Sharon, that’s just pride, that’s just, you know, that comes from the world; you learnt it from there, you watched them and then you think you must be like them? No, look in the mirror of My Word”. You see, that’s how you don’t love the world, it’s cause you look in the Word to see what manner of man you are. That’s what it says in the book of James. Who am I? Who am I? Oh, I’m this man, I don’t love the world, I don’t love the world and I am going to keep looking in here so that I don’t walk away from who I am and forget what I’m like. Isn’t that powerful?
You see, God wants you having a very personal relationship with Him. He wants you in intimacy with Him, that’s why He put His Holy Spirit inside of you so that you can have communion with Him. In the last chapter of second Corinthians, it says, the love of God and the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ and the communion and the communication and the intimacy and the fellowship with the Holy Spirit is with you. He is with you. He is with you. Holy Spirit will never leave you, you are a child of God, He did the born again miracle in your heart, but you can let Him be in you and never talk to Him all the days of your life, never let Him be what the Bible says that He is to you. Jesus said, the Holy Spirit will lead you, He will guide you, He will show you things to come, He will lead you into truth. Jesus said in John 17, My Word is Truth, so you have got to be inside minded, Holy Ghost inside minded, conscious to be led by Him, so that you can know and He can show what of the world you love.
Somethings will be quite obvious to you. You know? The lusts of the flesh are quite clear in Galatians five, you know? Those are the desires of your flesh. That’s what it says, the gratification of our flesh, what the world can offer us. Let me turn there. Let me turn there.
The desires of the flesh, because I read to you, what the Lord had said, don’t set the affections of this world on your, of your heart on this world, or in loving the things of this world, verse 16, 16for all that the world can offer us, the gratification of our flesh and the allurement of things of the world, as obsession with status and importance (Galatians 5:16).
You know, so let me read this to you out of the Amplified. Okay. Now the doings of the flesh are clear, this is Galatians 5:19, 19 the doings the (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, immorality, immorality. So, if you want to be immorale, it’s a lust of your flesh that Jesus came to deliver you from. Immorality, impurity, indecency, 20idolatry, idolatry means you love other things, you have given your attention to; they have got the place of God in your heart. Okay, sorcery, enmity, that means you have, you are at enmity with people, strife, you fight, you argue, jealousy. You see, all of us have this in our flesh.
Where does it come from? It comes from the world, it doesn’t come from God; Satan is the God of this world. So, selfishness, and then verse 21 says, 21envy, you want what other people have got, drunkenness, yes, drunkenness is a lust of your flesh. I want to get drunk, I like the effects that this alcohol has on me, I will get drunk. It’s a lust of your flesh, your flesh wants to do that, your spirit doesn’t want to do that. Okay, drunkenness, alright, carousing, that’s partying.
He says here; I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21 AMPC). So, you won’t get your inheritance in the Kingdom of God. He says, if you live like that as a child of God, you won’t get your inheritance in the Kingdom of God. If you live according to your flesh, you’re going to die one day and all you’ve ever done is live, walk-in your flesh and so you will go to Heaven because you received Jesus, as your saviour, but not as your Lord. Right? You said, “I don’t want to go to hell one day, I want to receive Jesus, I believe in Jesus, you said. But for all the days of my life I’m going to just live according to my flesh and just do what I want to do.” Well, that’s, Jesus came to deliver us from that. I’m not going to live according to my spirit because Jesus came, I’m going to live like the world, who Satan is the god of.
Okay. Then it says, 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (forbearance), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint). Against such things, there is no law [that can bring a charge] (Galatians 5:22-23 AMPC). Glory to God, isn’t that wonderful, that we can live not loving the world. That’s why God, God wants us free from Egypt, free from Babylon and free from the world’s system.
God is a great God and He is a good God and His desire is to deliver us from this present darkness. How? I’m with Holy Spirit, I’m planted in a church, I’m being brought to maturity according to Ephesians chapter five that says; there are Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Pastors that are going to bring me to maturity, I’m going to be part of a body that God is going to set me in. The Holy Spirit is going to lead me where I’m supposed to. Because you can’t go to a church where it teaches you things that are going to, that are not true. I cannot, I will not, God will not send you to a church that teaches you, that God makes you sick to teach you a lesson, and God wants you poor because that’s humility, and God this and God that. I’m telling you, you need to go to a church that teaches you, preaches Good News because God is good and God is great and He wants you out of the world’s system and in His Kingdom of Light. Seeking first His Kingdom and His ways of being and doing, right. So, that everything can be right with you and right with Him and it’s all good and it’s all great.
But there were God’s people who didn’t want to be delivered out of the world’s system, so I’m going to show you now, in Exodus three verse seven to nine, the Amplified Bible. So, we are supposed to be experiencing you and I, together, where we are planted, all the Good News that keeps coming to us every Sunday, we are supposed to move with the Good News, believe the Good News every time and move, deeper and deeper into possessing our promised land. I got some more, I got some more possessions. This is happening inside of me spiritually, I am possessing who I should be, but it is also happening on the outside of me; it is also happening on the outside of me, houses, lands, increase, land, milk, honey, Glory to God.
So, the Lord says this in verse seven, 7 I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors; I know their sorrows and sufferings and trials. 8And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand and power of the Egyptians or the world-system, and to bring them up out of that land to a land good and large, a land flowing with milk and honey, that’s the kingdom of God people. A land of plenty, verse nine, 9 Now behold, the cry of My people, the cry of the Israelites has come to Me, and I have seen how the Egyptians oppress them (Exodus 3:7-9 AMPC). I have seen how the wicked evil system, oppresses them.
After this God does wonders for them right? He brings them out, all the plagues that come upon Egypt, none of it comes upon them. Then they go out with all the spoils of Egypt, then they get to the Red Sea, God opens up the Red Sea, they go through on dry land and then Moses says, after that. I am giving you sequence. After that Moses says, He sends out seven spies to the Promised Land. “Go and spy out the land”. Right.
Look at the report, Numbers 13:27-28. They come back with the report now, they’ve been to spy out the land. 27 They told Moses, We came to the land to which you sent us; surely it flows with milk and honey. This is its fruit, because they’ve got all these grapes and they had to carry it on these poles, you’ve all seen the pictures. 28 But the people who dwell there are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, there we saw the sons of Anak [of great stature and courage]. (Numbers 13:27-28, AMPC). Okay, Moses, but we must tell you the land is good, but the people are too strong.
The people in the world-system are very strong and they are very great, they are too strong and too great for God. They are too strong and great for God. God can’t, He can’t bring us in there. The God that hasn’t seen how strong and great they are. I don’t know what He was thinking saying to us “He’s taking us in there.
They hardened their hearts towards God, they refused to believe, they refused God’s deliverance and chose Egypt in their hearts. Now we’re going to have a look at this. Numbers 11:4-6, look what they did after this. 4 And the mixed multitude among them [the rabble who followed Israel from Egypt] began to lust greatly [for familiar and dainty food], I like the way things were in the world-system, in Egypt. The way things work for me there. and the Israelites wept again and said, Who will give us meat to eat? 5 We remember the fish we are freely in Egypt and without cost, the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic. 6 But now our soul (our strength) is dried up; there is nothing at all [in the way of food] to be seen but this manna. (Numbers 11:4-6, AMPC). Do you know what they were saying, “God’s given me a promise of deliverance, given us a promise of deliverance but my circumstances are too strong, the world-system is too strong for God to deliver me out of it? All I hear every Sunday from Pastor John is manna, manna, manna. Believe God’s promises, believe, believe the prophetic word. All I get is manna, manna, manna. Supernatural increase, supernatural increase. It’s all I hear is manna, manna, manna. Supernatural increase, what? Extraordinary greatness of my God. Manifestations of my God. What? I was making it better when I was more in the world-system than to come out, into a place like this of trusting God like Abraham.”
It says in the book of Hebrews, He went out only on a promise. He didn’t even know where he was going. He only had a promise. Well, that’s how Pastor John and I travel. We don’t know where we’re going, but God chose every step of the way.
God, you think God didn’t make our emotions, you think that didn’t touch the heart of God, when He said I rained manna. He talks about it in the book of Psalms. God, He says, I rained manna down from heaven for them, the corn of heaven, I gave them Angels food. They didn’t want it. They had enough of it. “We want meat, we want some flesh, we want, we want, we want. Their flesh wanted.
Numbers 14 verse 1 to 5. Let’s look at this. God is writing this to us, the Bible says as an example to us, that we don’t do what they did. 1 And all the congregation cried out with a loud voice, and [they] wept that night. 2 And all the Israelites grumbled and deplored their situation, accusing Moses and Aaron, to whom the whole congregation said, Would that we had died in Egypt! Or that we had died in this wilderness! 3 Why does the Lord bring us to this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and little ones will be a prey. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt? 4 And they said one to another, Let us choose a captain and return to Egypt. (Numbers 14:1-5, AMPC).
Numbers 14:6-10, 6And Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among the scouts who had searched the land, rent their clothes, You see, they were two of the spies, they came back and they said to everybody, “We can take it. These things, this that looks like giants to you, they are bread for us.”Why? Because He’s a great, big God. 7And they said to all the company of Israelites, The land through which we passed as scouts is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. That’s abundance, that’s, supernatural increase for you spiritually. That’s, supernatural increase for you physically, it’s for your strength, it’s for your days. As your days are so shall your strength be. Your strength, like iron, as long as you live because the Holy Spirit is a stream of divine life that flows through your body. He is your health. That word Jehovah Rapha means, He is your health, He is your healing, for you to walk in divine health because you believe. You believe that by the stripes of Jesus, I was healed. You resist the enemy when he comes to touch your body with sickness.
8…Exceedingly good land. He will give us a land flowing with milk and honey. Verse 9, 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land. Why are you impressed? Why do we get impressed with people in the world-system? We think they’re so great. We think they are so great, when they are nothing. You think people that are without God, that have money are something, they are nothing. You think people that are rich and famous are something, they are nothing. They are in the wicked world-system, they are part until they get born again because they hear the Gospel and they decide they want to choose Jesus, they are part of the wicked.
Ah, I see you looking at me like I crawled out of a piece of stink kaas, stinky cheese. Okay. Now I’m going to show you, now I’m going to show you scripture. Right. All right. I’ve got plenty of scriptures for that, but let me get the best one here, Lord, cause God says, “Come out of Babylon, come out of that world-system.” Ha, okay.
Look at this, 2 Timothy 3 verses 1 to 5. This is what we are living in. This is what the wicked world-system looks like. 1 But understand this, that in the last times, or in the last days, will come (set in), it’s already set in, perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. 2 For people, people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), they don’t care about God. They feel nothing for God. They give God no glory. They give Him no place, though they know about Jesus. Many of them have heard about Jesus, they pass Him by.
They say that there is no God and they think that they are wise. Look at this, (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, and profane. This is scripture people. 3[They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement), [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, Why would you want to be loose in morals and conduct? Because your flesh wants to be immoral, but that is what Jesus came to deliver me from. Glory, glory. I delight in morality in my inner man. Glory. I want to be pure and clean inside like Jesus. I want to be like Jesus inside, inside me.
So, loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. 4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. For although they hold a form of piety. Oh, you bump into some of those people who find out that you are moral, but not because you’re comparing, just because you have chosen, you have chosen Jesus, and to be like Him, in your journey on the earth. And they are all like oh.. When they find out, oh, you are one of those… and I too, you know and I so, God says, He sees through all that, 5 they hold a form of piety, but they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it, to change you. The power of Christ’s life living in you, for you to overcome everything that is in the world. Glory to God. (their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession). Avoid such people (2 Timothy 3:1-4, AMPC).
Look at what the Passion Translation says about these kinds of people, in case you didn’t think the world is wicked, the world is wicked. 1 You need to be aware that in the final days, this is in the Passion Translation, the culture of society will become extremely fierce, and difficult for the people of God. you see, for these things to not creep into you, you got to be spiritual, otherwise they already crept in you. You have no defence against the wickedness of the world-system if you’re not choosing Jesus everyday for your life and His ways, you have no defence, it has already crept in.
Your only defence is Jesus and the Holy work of the Holy Spirit in your heart. I dont go from immoral to moral in my own strength, I go there with my own relationship with Jesus, inside the Holy Spirit helping me, helping me to become like Jesus. Cleansing me because I am yielding to His discipline. I am yielding to His instruction. I am looking in His Word. I am listening for His voice. I am planted in His church. I am listening to the messengers. I keep my foot in the messages. I am going to the scriptures, I am believing, I am receiving like a little child. Hallelujah.
Now, I have got to stop there, I have got to stop right there. I am going to just finish with this. They will boast of great things, people will be self-centered, lovers of themselves, obsessed with money, you don’t have a lot of money to be obsessed with it, poor people are obsessed with it, and God has a way in His Kingdom, to have abundance. Okay. They ignore their families, they boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride, mock all that is right, they mock us for loving Jesus and choosing Jesus. Carnal Christians will mock you, for wanting to walk in the light and wanting to be Jesus’s disciple. Jesus said the world will hate you, if you are my disciple. So, why do you love the world and why do they love you?
Okay, I am done. Pastor Garth, will you come and play that song please? The Holy Spirit has given us a song, and I want us to give Him all the glory for it, right? Before we even hear it. The Holy Spirit has given us a song, because Pastor John prophesied under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that the sounds of Heritage songs, the sounds will go out into our hearts, pierce and penetrate us and take unworldliness, ungodliness, God is going to use it to help, as part of what is going to help us to take the love of the world out, to get Egypt out of us, you see, to get Babylon out of us, so we can be free and we can walk in the Kingdom of Light. He has given us this song, and it is a beginning today for you. Because now everytime I come to minister, God will take the children, God will take the children in.
We are going to listen to the song, and allow it to just wash your soul, wash, wash, wash. It is not for you to sing, though you see the words, Pastor Garth is going to sing it under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
[Pastor Garth sings: I Choose to Love Him]
In a world where many follow their own way
They ignore their creator and live for personal gain
Though men see in creation in truth there is a God
They make up their own theories and stumble in the dark
And it seems like the wicked prosper in their ways
As they fill their lives with pleasures and distractions of this age
And they boast in their great things as they lift themselves in pride
They’re slaves to their desires and they hate what’s good and right
The prince of this world he leads mankind astray
He blinds the minds of people as they live from day to day
Though men hear about Jesus but they choose to pass Him by
They say that there is no God and think that they are wise
I choose to love Him
I choose to serve Him
I choose to humble myself under His mighty hand always
I choose to love Him
I choose to know Him
I choose to worship and fear Him and follow Him all of my days
I choose Jesus x 3
Always
Oh how long will the wicked be free to speak their minds
And to go uncontested spreading satan’s lies
And how long will God’s people be content to just stand by
When everything created belongs to Jesus Christ
I choose to love Him
I choose to serve Him
I choose to humble myself under His mighty hand always
I choose to love Him
I choose to know Him
I choose to worship and fear Him and follow Him all of my days
I choose Jesus
I choose Jesus
He is my King, He is my Lord
Master of all
Hallelujah. Choose Him, choose Him today child of God, choose Him today. Choose Him today. In this way, you love Him and serve Him and know Him and fear Him and follow Him all of your days. Choose Him, choose Jesus today child of God, Hallelujah, choose Him today and always, Hallelujah. Choose Him.
I pray for you today, that these words and these scriptures that God has let me bring you today, that they will speak to your heart during this week, and that the sound of the words of the song will wash in you that you will hear it even in your spirit during the week, and you will want to go, when there is no music, I choose Jesus. I choose to love Him, that you will just find yourself, I choose to love Him, that is what God is washing you and drawing you to Jesus, I speak to children of God today. I speak to you child of God. Choose Jesus, not to love the world, in Jesus name.
I bless you, I bless you, to choose Jesus this week. I bless you to choose Jesus always, all your days, 7 days, all day long, choose Jesus, I bless you, in Jesus name. The Word and the blood of Jesus surround you and your family and your children and protect you. We all say; amen. God bless you.
