Father, we thank You. Let me just get my glasses on. I’m going to just read some beautiful scripture to you this morning. You know the Bible, His precious, Holy, written Word, Jesus said in John 17, Your Word is Truth. This is Truth, (holding the Bible up). Jesus was praying to the Father, in John 17 and He said, Your Word is truth, and then He said that you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free; it will free you. It will free you up, it will free your life up, to walk in the fullness of everything that salvation brings. Hallelujah. Salvation is rich and salvation is full and salvation is free and Jesus came to save, He did not come to condemn, He came to save. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
I want to just remind us, this morning, about a few things, about Jesus, our wonderful Lord and our wonderful Saviour. If you’re here today, and He is not your Lord and He is not your Saviour, then the Holy Spirit will work in your heart, He will work in your heart through these words of scripture and He will draw you to Himself.
John chapter one, verse one and two says; 1In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, or Christ was with God, and the Word was God Himself, Christ is God Himself. Hallelujah, Christ is God Himself. Verse two says; 2He was present originally with God. (John 1:1-2 AMPC). And Jesus said this about Himself in John eight verse 58. He said, 8I most solemnly I tell you, before Abraham was born, I Am (John 8:58 AMPC). Before Abraham was born I Am. Jesus knew, where He had come from, Who He was, in eternity of eternities. He knew that He had come to the earth for a purpose; to be born, to come to die for all mankind on the cross. He knew all that. Hallelujah. That’s why He could say with confidence, I tell you before Abraham was born, I Am. He is the great I Am, Jesus. Glory.
Then Jesus said this, in John three, 16 to 18. I’m reading from the Amplified as well; For God so greatly loved the world, 16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, this is a wonderful translation, He so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him, shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life (John 3:16 AMPC). Can we just rejoice and say thank You to Jesus this morning for that? That God so loved us that He sent Jesus, beautiful Son, morning star, obedient, obedient, came from Heaven to earth, to show the way. Hallelujah. From Heaven to earth and from the earth to the cross, hallelujah. Then from the cross to the grave and then from the grave to the sky. Whoo!! Hallelujah, whooo, let’s rejoice in it together today, in our precious Lord Jesus; this is who He is. He is the great I Am. Before Abraham was He was the I Am. Hallelujah.
So God did not, verse 17 says, John three. 17For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, or to condemn, or to pass sentence on) the world, He came to actually pass sentence on Satan and to defeat him in his works, in the lives of men and women and boys and girls and so Jesus did not send, God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge, in order to reject, in order to condemn, in order to pass sentence on the world; but that the world, but that the world, but that the world, we are going to write some beautiful songs Garth, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him (John 3:17 AMPC).
Glory to God. Hallelujah. That the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. He did not come to reject the world, He does not reject the world. Hallelujah. If He rejected the world, He would have had to reject you and me, you and I, but He did not. He came so that we can be made whole and find salvation and be made safe and sound.
Then verse 18 in the Amplified says this; 18He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him, there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed, because he has not believed, because he has not believed, because he has not believed, in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. The Amplified says; He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name (John 3:18 AMPC). There are men and women in the world today who refuse, they hear about Christ and then they refuse. So, they have already brought that conviction and that judgement on themselves, it wasn’t God, it is not Jesus; they bring it on themselves. Oh, oh oh oh. Yes, now I am going to go there again.
I’m going to go to Romans and I’m going to confirm that again through scripture. Hallelujah. Because this is what the Holy written Word says. This is what the Holy written Word says. In Romans it says here, 16For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, this is Romans chapter 1 verse 16 in The Amplified,16For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes, to everyone who believes.
17For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith. (Romans 1:16-17 AMPC) How many of you can remember the day when you received Jesus or the time or the circumstances, where you just believed, your heart just believed and just received? It was more real to you than anything else and nobody could ever tell you, that Jesus is not Lord. Hallelujah. It was faith, God gives every person faith to believe in Jesus. Listen to this now.
Verse 18 says, 18For God’s wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative. 19For that which is known about God is evident to them. This is scripture people, scripture says it is evident to all men, it’s made plain in their inner consciousness, because God [Himself] has shown it to them. 20For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men], can you see that? So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification]. (Romans 1:18-20 AMPC)
The Bible says that a fool says in his heart there is no God, and you know why a fool says it? Because here’s the scripture that says, God’s already placed it in the consciousness of every man and every woman that there is a true and living God. And then what do they do? 21When they knew God, verse 21, and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened. 22Claiming to be wise, they became fools. 23And by them the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God were exchanged for and represented by images, resembling mortal man. (Romans 1:21-23 AMPC) Now we worship, people worship man, they don’t want to worship God, they decided not to worship God. Even though they recognize, even though God put it in every man’s consciousness.
It says here, 22….resembling mortal man and birds and beasts, that’s why people worship people. It is like they have idols, my idol is, my idol is. And God says, “You shall have no idols, You shall serve no other gods.” Idolatry is something your heart chooses. You just want to worship something else other than God. Huh. Well, look at this. 21They became godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, verse 21, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened. 22Claiming to be wise, they became fools. 23And by them the glory and majesty. Okay, I read that already.
It says here because they refuse to acknowledge God, 24God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves. 25Because they exchanged, they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen. 26For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one. 27And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze with lust for one another – men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray.
Verse 28 says, 28And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over Romans 1:24-28 AMPC). You see that? Can you see that, people? God so loved the world, but the world, there are people in the world, who just I am thinking of an experience I had, such a precious friend.
Our boys were at school together and I invited her to a church service, and the presence of God was so beautiful in that church service. I’ve known her for years you know, and I had such a desire for her to receive Jesus as Lord. And she came with me and the presence of God, just like this here, the music was so beautiful, and I said to her afterwards, so let’s for this sake, say her name was Rita. “So, Rita how did you find things?” I’ll never forget this conversation as long as I live. She said to me, “Well, Sharon, obviously something is going on there, but I have no interest.” I said, I remember sitting in the car with her and the glory of God came into the car. The glory of God, the presence of God just moved into the car. I said to her, “But Rita” I said, “You’ve known me for a long time, if I tell you that Jesus is so real to me. He’s my Lord and my Savior, I know Him.” I said, “Wouldn’t you want to know the truth, if He was the truth? Would you want to know that He is the truth?” She said, “No, even if He was the truth I wouldn’t want to know.”
So, what do you do? What do you do? You just continue, and through the years that I haven’t seen her, I just say, “Lord I lift Rita up. Lord, if by some chance before she dies Lord.” Because hell is a very real place. God did not make it for human beings; He made it for fallen angels. It’s a very real place people.
I’m preaching the gospel here this morning. I’m making it known to you who are saved and to you who are not saved here today. That this is our responsibility to reach out to men and women and boys and girls and tell them the gospel of Jesus. It’s the power of God unto salvation, for us to not be ashamed of the Gospel. Hallelujah.
28And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind 29Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. [They were] full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. [They were] secret backbiters and gossipers 30Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, hating God. Do you know that there were people on earth that hated Jesus when He was alive? Still today, they hate you to say the Name of Jesus. “Don’t say that Name to me. You can say Buddha, you can say Allah, you can say Mohammed, you can say any other name, don’t say the Name of Jesus.”
And the Bible says this, 31[They were] without understanding, 30 … inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents. 31 [They were] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless. 32Though they are fully aware of God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others (Romans 1:28-32 AMPC) ahh you also like that. “Yes.” Who practice what they practice.
But I want to tell you this. The Message Bible says of John 3:16 -18 16-18 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. This is why our prayers are so powerful when Ephesians says, “Pray for all men.” I know that Pastor Christi has told me that our pre service prayer for new births, into the Kingdom of God and for baby Christians, and for back-slidden Christians are so powerful. Hallelujah. Because we are going to have people born again. God is going to bring people, you are going to bring people, you are going to bring people to these Sunday morning messages, that are taking on a form that Pastor John is desiring of an evangelistic culture for now. It’s for the unsaved and the lost. What a perfect opportunity for you to bring family, for you to bring friends, who are asking real questions. Glory to God.
And so it says, God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in Him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust Him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him. (John 3:16-18 MSG)
Jesus said this 32And I, if and when I am lifted up from the earth [on the cross], will draw and attract all men [Gentiles as well as Jews] to Myself. (John 12:32 AMPC) Glory glory glory. Jesus said this about Himself in John 14:6 6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; I am the way the Truth and the Life; not any other so-called God, that’s been made up. I, Jesus said, “I” Jesus said, “I.” He’s either a liar or He is speaking truth. Jesus said, “I.” Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” No one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. (John 3:32 AMPC)
Jesus said in John 3, “You must be born again.” Jesus said 3Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God. 4Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother’s womb again and be born? Jesus answered, Jesus answered, Jesus answered. Jesus spoke these words 5Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [[a]even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. 6What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:3-6 AMPC)
God is a spirit. And when you get born again, your spirit gets born again. Your spirit gets born again. Hallelujah. That is the work of the Holy Spirit. The moment you say, “Jesus, I acknowledge You, I call upon Your Name Jesus.” The Bible says, “Whoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” The moment a person calls from their heart, “Jesus I believe, Jesus I receive.” The Holy Spirit comes immediately and does the new creature, new creation, new birth, the reborn miracle in your spirit, and you become alive unto God. Hallelujah. You know, you are a son of God and a child of God. Our only true and living God did not make some other way for the human, for mankind and the human race to have life. He had one way and that was Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
I’m finishing off with this, Acts 4:12 say 12And there is salvation in and through no one else. (Acts 4:12 AMPC) People, can we settle that, this morning, in our hearts? You know we become so influenced by the philosophies that Romans chapter 1, was just talking about, the ideologies, speculations, foolish reasoning of the world around us that even you sometimes, if you give yourself to listening to that stuff, you’ll begin to say, “Well, maybe, ag ja some people have got another way, but I’ll take Jesus’s way.” What’s that? What’s that? What is that? What is that to Jesus Christ, who came to die? Who came to earth to save the world? What is that to God the Father? There is only One God. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. There is no other God. There is no other Name under heaven by which man can be saved. Hallelujah.
We were all born into this earth, created by God to be saved by the Blood of Jesus. Because of the fall of man. Because of the fall of man Jesus came to redeem mankind. Mankind back to Him. Hallelujah. Jesus is the Life, the Truth and the Way. What Jesus said about Himself, is so. There is no other Name. Glory, glory, glory.
Well, I thank God for His Word this morning. I thank God for His Word. He did not come to judge the world, He came so that it made safe and sound. So that whoever believes, whoever believes, whoever believes, hallelujah.
Father, we thank You for Your Word to us this morning. We are inspired this morning; we are newly, freshly inspired this morning, to speak to people about the beautiful Jesus, the Son of God, that they can be born again. There are many other scriptures that I could give but I will give it to you in the weeks to come. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Beautiful scriptures about what we can say to people about Jesus. We thank You Father, that we are newly inspired, fresh, fired to share beautiful Jesus, and the love of Jesus. That God so loved them, that He gave Jesus, so that they can be made safe and sound.
Father, I bless Your people today. I, thank You that they are blessed going out, they are blessed going out of this building and they are blessed going into their cars, and they’re blessed going into their homes. They’re blessed everywhere, the Word and the blood of Jesus, as Pastor John always prays, I pray here Father, the Word and the Blood of Jesus protects them and keeps them safe and sound. Because they’re You’re born again ones, they’re Your children Father. I declare that they’re the head and not the tail, they’re above and not beneath. Hallelujah, hallelujah, Father.
I declare Father, that the evil one touches them not, as Jesus prayed in John 17. You keep them safe from the evil one and the evil one touches them not, Father. They will be strong to rise up in their faith, in this week, every day, every day, every day, in their salvation, that Jesus provided for them. The fullness of their salvation, that they will be bold to rise up and proclaim and proclaim and proclaim. Hallelujah. I speak all of this and I pray all this, in Jesus Name. We all say, “Amen.”
Wonderful to see you. Shall we stand and sing; when the enemy comes, we will pray and praise. Glory.
