Scripture reference: Exodus 3:7-9 AMPC, Numbers 13:27-28 AMPC, Numbers 11:4-6 AMPC, Numbers 14:1-10, 22-24, 29-31 AMPC, Numbers 14:31 TLB, Hebrews 4:1-3 TLB, Matthew 18:2-4 KJV, Colossians 1:12-14 KJV, Colossians 1:13 AMPC, Galatians 1:4 NLT, Galatians 1:4 CJB, John 3:16-17 AMPC, 1 John 2:15 AMPC, 1 John 2:15-17 TPT We’ve got joy. I’m so glad He gave us joy and not sadness. Sorrow and sadness. Therefore, the redeemed of the Lord shall return unto Zion, and they shall come with joy and singing, “and sorrow and sadness,” the Bible says, “shall flee away.” When you give place to joy, you will find, sorrow and sadness will just flee away. Glory to God. I got the Word to bring. You can bring the pulpit up. Thank you so much, worship group. Wow, we’re going straight into this Word of God today, with joy in our hearts. You may be seated. Thank you. Hallelujah. Thank you, Simon, thank you very much. So, let’s pray before we receive the Word. Let’s speak to Him, let’s ask Him; Father, I thank You for your burden removing, yoke destroying anointing that is upon me, rises up great within me, to minister to You this morning. Father, I thank You, for Your anointing, Your burden removing, yoke destroying power that is upon your people and rises up big and great within them, all by the person of the Holy Spirit, Lord. Hallelujah. Show us Your glory today, Father. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, that all of scripture is breathed by You, Father, all of Your Word. Thank You that Your Word will speak to our hearts today. Thank You for that. We receive it; we receive it; we receive it. We believe what Your Word says today, Father. In Jesus’ name, and we all say; amen. Well, glory to God. So, this is the second part of a series that I’m bringing, and it’s called; I Will Take the Children. God says, “I will take the children.” I’m here today to tell you that He’s a great God, He’s a good God, and His desire is to deliver us. The Word of God says, “From this present darkness, we are experiencing, we are to experience, a New Testament Exodus, like God came to deliver the people from the Old Testament from the bondage of Egypt. Egypt being the world-system of the day. Egypt being the Babylon of the day; the world-system. God was there to deliver His people out of Egypt, right? Jesus came to earth, so that we can continually experience. He came to die and shed His blood so that you and I can continuously all the days of our life, experience deliverance. Coming out of the bondage of the world, coming out of the world-system, coming out of not operating in it. We’re in it, but we’re not of it, glory to God. So, Jesus’ redemption, salvation, out of the darkness of this world into His marvellous light. He awaits our faith and our believing, that He is great and that He is good, and that He has deliverance for us continually. I’m going to read to you now out of Exodus chapter 3, I’m going to show you about this Exodus. I’m going to show you why God will take the children. Why He can only take the children. We’re going to get to that key scripture of; Jesus says that unless you become like little children, you cannot. That’s why the title of my message is, I Will Take the Children. Right? Exodus 3, 7 to 9 from the Amplified Bible says, 7And the Lord said, I have surely, please see the affliction, see the deliverance, see the old covenant, old covenant deliverance from Egypt, 7…the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors; for I know their sorrows and sufferings and trials. 8And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand and power of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a land good and large, a land flowing with milk and honey [a land of plenty]-to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Right in the middle of the world-system. Those were all worldly tribes. 9Now behold, the cry of the Israelites has come to Me, and I have also seen how the Egyptians, please see world-system, please see Babylon, please see this present darkness of this age, I have seen how the Egyptians oppress them. (Exodus 3:7-9 AMPC). God, after this, does wonders. He brings them out, okay. They go straight through the Red Sea. The Egyptians behind them have drowned and then Moses sends out scouts. They are already across; they are already through the Red Sea. God’s already shown them His mighty hand in Egypt. Did all the miracles and the signs and the wonders. They saw it; they saw the sign and the wonder that God did, how determined God was to get them out, and what God would do and what God was capable of doing to get them out, right? So, Moses now sends, after that, he sends scouts out to spy the land that God is going to help them to possess; that God said they are going to possess. In Numbers 13, look at Numbers 13, 27, and 28, Amplified. So, the scouts come back, 27They told Moses, We came to the land to which you sent us; this is their report, surely it flows with milk and honey. This is its fruit. 28But the people who dwell there are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, there we saw the sons of Anak, they were like giants [of great stature and courage]. (Number 13:27-28 AMPC). “God, we are only your people. The people that are not your people, are really great.” That’s what they were telling God. It is a land of plenty. So, they hardened their hearts towards God. They refused God’s deliverance and they chose Egypt in their hearts. I’m going to show you. Numbers 11, 4 to 6, Amplified Bible. Numbers 11 verse 4 says, 4And the mixed multitude among them [the rabble who followed Israel from Egypt] began to lust greatly [for familiar and dainty food], and the Israelites wept again and said, Who will give us meat to eat? 5We remember the fish we ate freely in Egypt and without cost, the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic. 6But now our soul (our strength) is dried up; there is nothing at all [in the way of food] to be seen but this manna. (Numbers 11:4-6 AMPC). Do you know that God rained down manna from heaven? For His people. It was such amazing food. God talks about His own manna that He rained down from heaven for them. It says in the book of Psalms, He said, “I gave them the corn of heaven, angel’s food.” They didn’t want it. They didn’t want to eat what God gave them to eat. They wanted what Egypt gave them to eat. Right? So, Numbers 14, I want you to see God’s response to them here now people. Numbers 14, 1 to 5, because God’s response is still the same to His people today, that He is wanting to deliver and bring out of Egypt, and bring out of Babylon, and bring out of the world-system. His way; to follow Him. To come to follow Him, His ways. To conquer and possess and occupy, the way He will lead them, not the way the world does it. Here they are, here’s God’s response, 1AND ALL the congregation cried out, before God’s response comes, this is some more of their response that you must see here. 1AND ALL the congregation cried out with a loud voice, and [they] wept that night. That was after the scouts came back to say there’s giants there and the people are too strong; they’re too strong for God. God who had brought us out of Egypt. God who opened the Red Sea, but now we see they’re very strong for us. 1AND ALL the congregation cried out with a loud voice, and [they] wept that night. 2All the Israelites grumbled and deplored their situation, accusing Moses and Aaron, to whom the whole congregation said, Would that we had died in Egypt! Don’t think that this is in our hearts. When we believe in God for something and it doesn’t come to pass the way we think it and we say, “I’m rather going to do it. I’m rather getting back to my old ways. The ways that the world has taught me. I must sit here and wait for God? He promised me I’m going into what, how?”. Right, …Would that we had died in Egypt! Or that we had died in this wilderness! 3Why does the Lord bring us to this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and little ones will be a prey. In other words, God, You rescued us and brought us out of Egypt so that we can now be preyed upon by these strong nations. That’s exactly what they were saying and thinking. You see, you might not say it in these words, but if you think that God is not mighty to deliver you, that the promises of God are not for you and that everything the world is so strong around you that God can’t possibly, you got to get it the world’s way. Well, then that’s what you’re saying. Our wives and little ones will be a prey. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt. 4And they said one to another, Let us choose a captain and return to Egypt. 5Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces… (Numbers 14:1-5 AMPC). Look at Numbers 14, 6 to 10, 6And Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among the scouts, the spy’s who had went to spy out, who had searched the land, rent their clothes, Why? Because they had faith. They knew that God had promised them, and they are going in. They rent their clothes. 7And they said to all the company of Israelites, The land through which we passed as scouts is an exceedingly good land. 8If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land, of course, the Lord delighted in them. He delighted in them enough to send Moses to them and do all those wonders in Egypt and bring them out after they’ve put the blood of the Lamb on their doorposts. The angel of death could not even come into their house or touch them. After He had protected them in the land of Goshen that nothing could touch their stuff, even though it touched all the Egyptians stuff. Even though the Red Sea had opened. Of course, He delights in us. 8…He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. 9Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense and the shadow [of protection] is removed from over them, but the Lord is with us. Fear them not. That’s like you saying, look at all the people in the world, how strong these people are, how rich they are, these companies, all their fame, all their pomp, and all their glory. Look how strong they are in what they do, and how they stand for themselves and not for God, how they give God no glory. How they make money for themselves, without even giving God any regard, not acknowledging Him at all. Oh, they are strong. They are the strong ones. We will see how they do it, we will go their way. That’s how we do it. Right? If we do that. 8…He will bring us… 9… do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us… The Lord is with us. Fear them not. 10But all the congregation said to stone [Joshua and Caleb] with stones. But the glory of the Lord appeared at the Tent of Meeting before all the Israelites. (Numbers 14:6-10 AMPC). Now have a look at God’s response. Numbers 14:22. All from the Amplified. It’s exactly the same in the King James. The Amplified just embellishes it a little more. 22Because all those men, here is God talking. All those men, and women, who have seen My glory and My [miraculous] signs which I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have tested and proved Me these ten times and have not heeded My voice… In other words, I have spoken over and over and over to them, and they just refused to believe what I say. They refused to believe what I say, and have not heeded My voice, 23 Surely they shall not see the land, God came to draw a line in the sand. You can only be an unbelieving Christian for so long. God will speak to you and speak to you and speak to you. Speak to you His promises and His goodness, and His greatness and He will speak to you and He will speak to you. If you persist in not believing, and not believing and all your doubt and all your unbelief and all your fear, and your fear, and you fear. Then there will come a time where He will just draw a line in the sand, and He will say, ok you don’t believe, obviously you don’t want to go in. You want what you have right now, here. He says here, 23 Surely they shall not see the land which I swore to give to their fathers; nor shall any who provoked (spurned, spurned Me. You see you spurn God, you spurn Him, you say, “Mm I don’t believe You, I don’t believe You.” …who (spurned, despised) Me see it. 24 But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his family. (Numbers 14:22-24 AMPC) His children, His children’s children. His children shall possess it. I believe God is going to get to that, to this teaching, where He will speak. He will speak to His people, even here in Witbank, to say, “Where are you pitching your tent, where are you taking your children into, where are you pointing them to? Are you pointing them to Egypt, are you pointing them to the Babylonish system or are you pointing them to the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Light?” Glory to God. Here is God carrying on here now, Numbers 14:29. Numbers 14:29. Here is God still speaking. 29Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness—of all who were numbered of you, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against Me, 30Surely none shall come into the land in which I swore to make you dwell, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. In other words, this whole generation, they all murmured, all of them. God listens to everything you are saying in your heart. Even if it is not coming out of your mouth. He knows everything you are thinking, whether you are believing Him or not, whether you choose Him or not, whether you love Him or not, whether you believe Him. Hallelujah. It says here. Numbers 14:29-31, 30… except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. 31 But your little ones, your little ones, whom you said would be a prey, Joh, can you imagine what that did to the heart of God. I’ve rescued you and you’re telling Me that I’ve brought your little ones. Where do you think the spirits of those little ones came from? The spirit of every little one comes into a mother’s womb from the presence of God. They said, “Our children are going to become slaves if we go and follow God now.” They would be better off in Egypt. 31 …your little ones, whom you said would be a prey, them will I bring in, that’s why the series is called, I Will Take the Children. 31 …your little ones, whom you said would be a prey, them will I bring in and they shall know the land… (Numbers 14:29-31 AMPC). The Living Bible says this of verse 31, 31You said your children, you said your children, would become slaves of the people of the land. Well, instead I will bring them safely into the land and they shall inherit what you have despised. (Numbers 14:31 TLB). That’s why God’s been giving us as our key scripture in Mathew 18 unless you become like little children. Unless you become like little children. Believing, trusting, listening, obeying, teachable. Listening, obeying, teachable, trusting. You cannot even enter the Kingdom of God that is full of light, full of the fulfilment of all promises that He has ever promised in His Word. The promise of deliverance from our Egypt, our Babylon, this world-system is here for us right now. That is why the Lord is telling us now, Heritage of Faith people, come out of her. Change and become like a little child. Trusting, believing, teachable. Enter My kingdom, seek first My kingdom, my ways of being and doing right and everything’s going to be added to you. All these blessings are going to come upon you and overtake you. Hallelujah. I want us to read Hebrews Chapter 4, just to confirm this out of the Living Bible. Hebrews chapter 4 verses 1 to 3. It’s talking about God’s promise to them to bring them out of Egypt into the Promised Land. That still stands today. 1Although God’s promise still stands – His promise that all may enter His place of rest, resting in God for everything, we ought to tremble with fear because some of you may be on the verge of failing to get there after all. 2For this wonderful news – the message that God wants to save us, and deliver us, has been given to us just as it was to those who lived in the time of Moses. The Amplified Bible says, “This Gospel, this good news of deliverance, from the world-system, and all the wickedness that’s in it”, and we’ll get to that scripture. This message of deliverance, I’m taking you out. I’m taking you out and you’re going to follow Me and I’m going to show you how to go into a land of plenty. You don’t have to go into a land of plenty the way they do. That is going to bring you a snare. It is going to snare you and your children. 2 …But it didn’t do them any good because they didn’t believe it. They didn’t believe it. They didn’t mix it with faith. 3 For only we who believe God can enter into His place of rest. He has said, “I have sworn in My anger that those who don’t believe Me will never get in,” even though He has been ready and waiting for them since the world began. (Hebrews 4:1-3 TLB). Jesus came to earth to die. What do you think when you see a scripture like that where God gets angry? Do you think, o, heavy, heavy? What would you think the conversation between God and I would be if God had to be speaking to me and say, “Sharon…” and that is what He does to me, every Sunday, that I come here, and every time I open His Word to read His promises. “Sharon I’m telling you, I promise you. I’ve promised you this. I’ve promised you that. Promised you, promised you.” “No, I don’t believe You, I don’t believe You, I don’t believe You.” Well, how do I show Him that? Because I don’t expect it in my heart, I don’t say it with my mouth, I don’t expect it in my heart. I don’t believe it in my heart, so I don’t expect it. I don’t believe it. I keep going my way I’ve always gone. “Sharon I’m telling you, I promise you, I promise you, I promise you”, and I keep saying in my heart, “I don’t believe You, I don’t believe You, I don’t believe You”. Do you think God would be angry with me? Or do you think He will say, “Argh, it doesn’t matter if you don’t believe me. You can just carry on with the rest of your life and just be full of unbelief and just go any way you want to. I’m so happy with you. I’m so pleased with you, Sharon. Even though I’m telling you all these wonderful things about My goodness, you don’t believe a thing. Argh but you’re so wonderful.” Aaa-aaah. So, Jesus came to earth to die. Shed His blood so that we can be delivered from this Egypt, this Babylonish system, into His kingdom, our covenant promised land. Matthew 18, 2 to 4; Matthew 18, 2 to 4, 2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, the Amplified says, “Changed and turned”. Changed inside and turned. Believing, trusting, teachable, believing, listening, obeying, faithing, faithing. I believe, trust, Lord. Unless you become converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the promised land. You shall not enter. Because that’s what the kingdom of heaven is. It’s on the earth as it is in heaven. That is why Pastor John has been speaking to you for so many years; What’s the point of being a Christian? It’s to be spiritual. It’s to live your fourth-dimensional spirit life, and what’s the point of being spiritual is to access heaven, to bring it to earth for my own personal life and to bring it into our collective greatness in Jesus’ Name. Hallelujah. Then it says this, 4Whosoever therefore, verse four, shall humble himself as this little child… (Matthew 18:2-4 KJV). You see, humility is not a bodily posture or a facial expression. Humility means; I listen, I believe, I receive. I believe You. I believe what You’re saying. I have faith. I mix this with faith, I mix this with faith, I expect it. That’s what humility is. Glory. It says here, Colossians 1, 12 to 14, 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us, I’m talking now, the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said, “Unless you become like a little child and humble yourself, believing, you shall not enter the kingdom. So, I want to show you, that you do already belong to the kingdom. It doesn’t mean you’re entering it. Just because you’ve been translated into the kingdom, doesn’t mean you’re entering it. The only way you enter it is to be like a little child, become converted like a little child, believing. Like a little child, believing. Like a little child, believing. A little child. A little child. Like a little child, believing. 12Giving thanks unto the Father, Colossians 1:12, King James, 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet, or made us fit, to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14In whom we have redemption, or freedom, deliverance from Egypt, through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:12-14 KJV). The Amplified Bible says this, 13[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. (Colossians 1:13 AMPC). Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Galatians 1 verse 4, New Living Translation, let the scripture speak to your heart. Let the scriptures speak to your heart. It says, 4Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. (Galatians 1:4 NLT). In order, you see; in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. You see, so you can either say, “Yes, I believe that this world that I’m living in is evil” or you can say, “No, but I love it. I like it.” Then the scripture says, “This is that which overcomes the world-system, our faith.” So, what do you want to overcome in the world-system if you love it? You have to hate, what God hates. As a son of God, you should; you should not be loving the world or the things that are in the world. The deceitfulness of riches, Amplified Bible says, “The false glamour. False glamour” the Amplified says. Okay, …in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. The Christian Jewish Bible says this, 4Who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might, what is our sins? Our twisted ways. Where did we get them from? From the world in which we live. From the evil world in which we live. You see, 4Who gave Himself for our twisted ways so that He might deliver us from the present evil world-system. (Galatians 1:4 CJB). That He might deliver us from the present evil world-system, but what His people were saying before they went into the promised land is, “I want to go back to the evil world-system. I don’t want to be delivered from the evil world-system.” John 3:16, 16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. Which is the very resurrection life of God Himself in you when you become born-again. 17For God, verse 17, did not send the Son into the world in order to judge it, you see, He greatly loved the world, He doesn’t want you to love it. He wants you to love the people, so that they could get saved and come out of the wicked world. He didn’t want you to love, what they love. 17For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge, (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. (John 3:16-17 AMPC). Did you know that every person that’s ever been born into this earth, was born into the earth to be born-again? God’s plan. 1 John 2:15, 15Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15 AMPC). The Passion Translation says this, 15Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. 16For all that the world can offer us-the gratification of our flesh, what my flesh wants to do, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance-none of these things come from the Father but from the world. 17This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. (1 John 2:15-17 TPT). Hallelujah. Do you know, you will live forever even if you don’t do the will of God if you’re born-again? Because you just used God to get born-again because you don’t want to go to hell, but you live like hell on earth. But I’m telling you; if you do the will of God when you’re on earth, that goes with throughout eternity. You live with what you do because you follow Jesus, because you chose Jesus throughout eternity. Hallelujah. The Bible calls Satan the god of this world. That’s why He says, “Why do you love the things Satan is the god of”? I read you that scripture last time. “Come out”, God says, “Come out.” I will finish this next week; I will finish this next week. Glory to God, and we, God; I want us to give all the glory to God who has given us a song supernaturally. The song will now be sung because Pastor John prophesied here, that the sounds and the songs that will come [come, Pastor Garth], the sounds that will come from the Spirit now; sounds of heaven, will draw us to Jesus, will soften our hearts, will cause us to turn from our wicked worldly ways. Us, born-again believers; us, born-again believers. You might sit there today and say, “I don’t love the world.” You don’t know until you go to God, to show how much of it is in you. How much of the world is in you? How much of it do you love? How much of it do you not want to love anymore? Do you want to not love, anything in the world anymore? Or do you want the garlic, and the leeks and the melons that you so love from Egypt? Or do you want God’s deliverance? Glory. So now, this is between you and the Lord now. This song; be with God in this song. Right? Your eyes can see the words. This is not for you to sing. Pastor Garth is singing this song under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It’s going to touch your heart. Hallelujah. Let it touch your heart. [Pastor Garth sings: I Choose to Love Him] In a world where many follow their own way They ignore their creator and live for personal gain Though men see in creation in truth there is a God They make up their own theories and stumble in the dark And it seems like the wicked prosper in their ways As they fill their lives with pleasures and distractions of this age And they boast in their great things as they lift themselves in pride They’re slaves to their desires and they hate what’s good and right The prince of this world he leads mankind astray He blinds the minds of people as they live from day to day Though men hear about Jesus but they choose to pass Him by They say that there is no God and think that they are wise I choose to love Him I choose to serve Him I choose to humble myself under His mighty hand always I choose to love Him I choose to know Him I choose to worship and fear Him and follow Him all of my days I choose Jesus x 3 Always Oh how long will the wicked be free to speak their minds And to go uncontested spreading satans lies And how long will Gods people be content to just stand by When everything created belongs to Jesus Christ I choose to love Him I choose to serve Him I choose to humble myself under His mighty hand always I choose to love Him I choose to know Him I choose to worship and fear Him and follow Him all of my days I choose Jesus I choose Jesus He is my King, He is my Lord Master of all Yes. Yes, Lord, we say yes, Lord, as Your people you so loved the world, You sent Jesus. We choose Jesus. As Your people, we choose Jesus. In a world where many are going their own way, Lord, we choose Jesus, to love Him, to serve him, to follow Him, to obey Him, to believe Him, all of our days. He’s the One who came to die for us in order to save us and deliver us from this present wicked world. We do not love the world, Lord. These are the conversations we are having in our hearts with You, Lord. I know I’m speaking for, I hope, all of us today, Lord. May the sounds of this song, as we continue to hear it next week, or the next time that I’m ministering as the Lord is leading me with this song, let it pierce and penetrate our darkness and the things of the world that have crept in, Father. The love for the things of the world that have crept in, Father. Thank You. We choose to love You. We choose You, Jesus. Just sing that again; I choose Jesus, Garth. Just speak to Him, saints of God. [Pastor Garth sings] Hallelujah. Father, we thank You for Your Word to us, today. We know You bring these words to us because You love us, Lord. We’ve seen things in scripture this morning, Lord, that our hearts are open to receive and believe, Lord. We thank You that Your mercies are new every morning and, too, this morning, they’re new and this morning we choose Jesus fresh, fresh again, today. We choose Him today and always. Hallelujah. Our Jesus and our Lord. Jesus, we love You. Jesus, we love You, as a people, as a collective people, we love You. We want to serve You, follow You, obey You, fear You, believe You, all of our days, Lord. We are so willing to be made willing, even in those areas, we are so willing to allow the sounds of the songs to permeate and penetrate and draw us to Jesus. Hallelujah. To follow You completely. I pray for Your people now, Father, with this anointing within and upon, Lord; that this Word will work mightily in them this week, Father, to come out and to love not and to choose Jesus. That these sounds and this melody, even of this song, will just haunt them, Lord, will just haunt them by Your Holy Spirit, will just roll around in them and bring healing and bring softness where there’s been hardness of heart, Lord, and bring believing where there’s been unbelief, Lord. Hallelujah. You are mighty to deliver us, Lord! You are mighty to save us, Lord. You are mighty to deliver us, Father. And we, Your people, give You thanks and praise today, Lord. Thank You that this Word will work mightily and that the Word and the blood of Jesus protects each and every one, every man, woman, every child, every son, every daughter, every boy, every girl, hallelujah. The Word and the blood of Jesus protects and surrounds, Father, surrounds and protects, Father, and You, You, You, You work with this Word. This day, You work with this Word, this afternoon when You people go home, Father, this evening when they go to church, Lord, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Glory, glory, glory. Hallelujah. I bless Your people, Lord. [Young man goes to the front] Yes, Lord, He will love you. Ja, I can feel his heart is pounding, it’s the Holy Spirit inside him. Father, this is his response this morning. He came forward for You, not for me. You know that, Lord. I feel the Spirit pounding in his heart here. You see, that’s the Holy Spirit, when you let Him work in your heart with the Word, with the Word. Thank You, Father. This is our response, too, Lord. His response is also our response this morning. We surrender. I thank You that You bless him. [Pastor Sharon laughs] A new walk, a new trust, like a little child. In Jesus’ name. Glory. Glory. Can we say glory? Can we say glory? Glory! Can we stand and say glory? Glory, glory. Hallelujah. Yes, Lord! That’s our response, too, Lord! Because he is like a little child and he came this morning like a little child and we’re becoming, we’re changing into little children and You will take the children. You’ll take us, Lord. You’ll take us, Lord! Hallelujah. Praise You, praise You, praise You, Father. Oh, glory! I bless Your people. I bless Your people as they leave, Lord, that they will cleave, in Jesus’ name. God bless you. Love you all so much. 06 September 2020 I Will Take The Children Part 2 – Session 2 Ps Sharon Bendixen (WTB) Scripture reference: Galatians 1:4 NLT, Galatians 1:4 CJB, John 3:16-17 AMPC, 1 John 2:15 AMPC, 1, John 2:15-17 TPT, Galatians 5:19-23 AMPC, Exodus 3:7-9 AMPC, Numbers 13:27-28 AMPC, Numbers 11:4-6 AMPC, Numbers 14:1-4, 6-9 AMPC, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 AMPC, 2 Timothy 3:1-2 TPT Hallelujah, glory! Aren’t you glad He gave you joy? Jah, He is a good God and He has given us joy. It is in us, we just have to release it by rejoicing, you rejoice with your mouth, from your heart, you rejoice in the Lord always. That’s what the Apostle Paul said: “I rejoice in the Lord always,” and then the scripture said and again I say “I will rejoice” and that’s how you know that joy is a choice. Because if God says to you “rejoice” you can’t say “I can’t”, you can say “I won’t”, but you can’t say “I can’t”. Because He will never tell you to do anything that you can’t do. Hallelujah. When the Apostle Paul says “I rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice”, he knew that the joy of the Lord is our strength for life, to live life, to walk in the ways of God, it is our strength to have the abundant life that He’s given us. It is my choice to rejoice, say that with me, say, “It’s my choice to rejoice”. Say, “It’s my choice to rejoice”, Jah. I am so glad it’s my choice, no one can stop me, no one can stop me from rejoicing. Glory. You may be seated. Thank you, thank you music, music people. Let’s pray as we approach God’s Word with reverence, with awe, with honour, with believing hearts, receiving hearts. Let’s pray. Father, thank You for Your anointing that is upon me and rises up big within me, to minister to Your people because Your anointing is Your burden removing, yoke destroying power, Father. Your anointing teaches us all things. Your Word says “Your anointing teaches us this morning, Your anointing abides permanently within us.” We stay knit to Your anointing this morning, as the scriptures come from Your heart, to our heart by the Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your anointing upon Your people, show us Your glory, today, Father in our hearts, in Jesus name, and we all say Amen. Glory to God. So, the title of the series of teaching is called: “I will take the children”, and so I am here to tell you today that we have a great God, and He is a good God, and His desire is to deliver us from this present darkness. We are according to the heart of God, the heart of God, to experience a new testament exodus. In our day because of the blood of Jesus, He brought redemption and salvation to save us from…, the Bible says, we are going to look at scripture now, here is our new, here is our new covenant exodus. Hallelujah. Galatians one and verse four in the New Living Translation it says 4 Jesus, why did Jesus come? To give 17His life for our sins, our twisted ways, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. ((Gal 1:4 NLT) Are you living in an evil world? Are we all living in an evil world? Yes, we are, we are, and then the CJB says this, the Christian Jewish Bible says; “4 who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us from the present evil world-system. (Gal 1:4 CJB) Now, our sins are our twisted ways, we got them from the present evil world-system. We got our twisted ways from the present evil world-system, that’s why Jesus came to deliver us from our twisted ways that we got from the evil present world-system. It is quite simple and plain. It is quite simple and plain. John 3:16-17 from the Amplified Bible, it says here, 16 for God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He (even) gave us His only (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not (come to destruction or be lost), but have eternal life, when you get born again you get eternal life, the life force of God Himself in you that you can live by. For God, look at verse, 17 for God did not send the Son, Jesus is the Son, 17 for God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world (John 3:16-17 AMPC), the whole world, people, God send Jesus that the whole world, you have to know that, that the whole world might find salvation, and be made safe and sound through Him. He just got through saying that Jesus gave His life in order to rescue us from this evil world, in which we live, in order that He might deliver us from the present evil world-system. We can say it is the Egypt of our day, it is the Babylon of our day, it is the world-system of our day, it is the kingdom of darkness, right? Then the scripture says a very powerful thing. 1 John 2:15, in the Amplified, 15 Do not love or cherish the world…, but that scripture got through saying God so loved the world, yes, He loves the world so that He can make it safe and sound in Him, but the world-system, there’s nothing in the world-system that God designed. Everything that God designed and planned is in His Kingdom. God does not look at the world-system and go “Ghee, I wish I thought of that, that’s smart. I am here in 1 John 2:15, 15 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in this world-system. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him, (1 John 2:15 AMPC). Now, the Passion translation puts it this way in 1 John 2:15 15Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. Verse 16, look at this, 16 For all that the world can offer you, all that the world can offer us, the gratification or the satisfaction of your flesh, what you want to do, you want to have that, and you want to do this, and you want to do that in your flesh. The allurement of the things of the world, the obsession with status importance, some translations talk about the false glamour of the world, the deceitfulness of riches, none of these things come from the Father, none of these things come from the Father, but are from the world. He goes on to say “this world, or this world-system, and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God (1 John 2:15), can you see that? I don’t love the world, I love to do the will of God, I don’t love the world, I love to do the will of God. What is the will of God? Everything is in His Bible, everything that Pastor John comes to minister to us, every Sunday you come to church, the scriptures, His will is in His Word. I love to do the Will of God. Hallelujah. 2 Corinthians 4:4, calls the devil, the ruler of this world, the ruler of this age, the god of this world, the devil who rules this world. Satan, there are different translations. Satan, who is the god of this evil world, that’s why God says, my child, please don’t love the world that satan is the god of. [Pastor Sharon laughing] Duh. You know what I mean. Please don’t love the world and the things in the world, and the allurement in the world and the false glamour of the world and all the pride and the status and the wanting to go after money the world goes after money, everything He has got for you is in His Kingdom. His ways of prospering, His ways of increase, His ways of health, His ways of relational success. You see? He is saying don’t love it. Don’t love it, because Satan is the god of it. So, don’t love it. So, you say, ”Well, how can I not love it? How do I know, what of it, I love?” Those are excellent questions for you to talk to God about. Those are excellent things in your own personal heart and your relationship with God to say, “I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna, I won’t, I refuse to, I’m going to start saying that immediately, I will not love the things of this world. I don’t love the things of this world. Father, Father, where I love it, show me, show me,” you see? You have to be in relationship with the Lord and be knowing Him, to be flowing in the success of the scripture. You have got to be hearing for yourself, so that God can show you. “This is greed now, here, Sharon. Sharon, you are greedy here now, you really want this thing and you will do anything to get it. No, I’ve got a way, come. Trust Me. Come, be consistent in your faith, get the promise in My Word”. You know? “No, Sharon, that’s just pride, that’s just, you know, that comes from the world; you learnt it from there, you watched them and then you think you must be like them? No, look in the mirror of My Word”. You see, that’s how you don’t love the world, it’s cause you look in the Word to see what manner of man you are. That’s what it says in the book of James. Who am I? Who am I? Oh, I’m this man, I don’t love the world, I don’t love the world and I am going to keep looking in here so that I don’t walk away from who I am and forget what I’m like. Isn’t that powerful? You see, God wants you having a very personal relationship with Him. He wants you in intimacy with Him, that’s why He put His Holy Spirit inside of you so that you can have communion with Him. In the last chapter of second Corinthians, it says, the love of God and the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ and the communion and the communication and the intimacy and the fellowship with the Holy Spirit is with you. He is with you. He is with you. Holy Spirit will never leave you, you are a child of God, He did the born again miracle in your heart, but you can let Him be in you and never talk to Him all the days of your life, never let Him be what the Bible says that He is to you. Jesus said, the Holy Spirit will lead you, He will guide you, He will show you things to come, He will lead you into truth. Jesus said in John 17, My Word is Truth, so you have got to be inside minded, Holy Ghost inside minded, conscious to be led by Him, so that you can know and He can show what of the world you love. Somethings will be quite obvious to you. You know? The lusts of the flesh are quite clear in Galatians five, you know? Those are the desires of your flesh. That’s what it says, the gratification of our flesh, what the world can offer us. Let me turn there. Let me turn there. The desires of the flesh, because I read to you, what the Lord had said, don’t set the affections of this world on your, of your heart on this world, or in loving the things of this world, verse 16, 16for all that the world can offer us, the gratification of our flesh and the allurement of things of the world, as obsession with status and importance (Galatians 5:16). You know, so let me read this to you out of the Amplified. Okay. Now the doings of the flesh are clear, this is Galatians 5:19, 19 the doings the (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, immorality, immorality. So, if you want to be immorale, it’s a lust of your flesh that Jesus came to deliver you from. Immorality, impurity, indecency, 20idolatry, idolatry means you love other things, you have given your attention to; they have got the place of God in your heart. Okay, sorcery, enmity, that means you have, you are at enmity with people, strife, you fight, you argue, jealousy. You see, all of us have this in our flesh. Where does it come from? It comes from the world, it doesn’t come from God; Satan is the God of this world. So, selfishness, and then verse 21 says, 21envy, you want what other people have got, drunkenness, yes, drunkenness is a lust of your flesh. I want to get drunk, I like the effects that this alcohol has on me, I will get drunk. It’s a lust of your flesh, your flesh wants to do that, your spirit doesn’t want to do that. Okay, drunkenness, alright, carousing, that’s partying. He says here; I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21 AMPC). So, you won’t get your inheritance in the Kingdom of God. He says, if you live like that as a child of God, you won’t get your inheritance in the Kingdom of God. If you live according to your flesh, you’re going to die one day and all you’ve ever done is live, walk-in your flesh and so you will go to Heaven because you received Jesus, as your saviour, but not as your Lord. Right? You said, “I don’t want to go to hell one day, I want to receive Jesus, I believe in Jesus, you said. But for all the days of my life I’m going to just live according to my flesh and just do what I want to do.” Well, that’s, Jesus came to deliver us from that. I’m not going to live according to my spirit because Jesus came, I’m going to live like the world, who Satan is the god of. Okay. Then it says, 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (forbearance), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint). Against such things, there is no law [that can bring a charge] (Galatians 5:22-23 AMPC). Glory to God, isn’t that wonderful, that we can live not loving the world. That’s why God, God wants us free from Egypt, free from Babylon and free from the world’s system. God is a great God and He is a good God and His desire is to deliver us from this present darkness. How? I’m with Holy Spirit, I’m planted in a church, I’m being brought to maturity according to Ephesians chapter five that says; there are Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Pastors that are going to bring me to maturity, I’m going to be part of a body that God is going to set me in. The Holy Spirit is going to lead me where I’m supposed to. Because you can’t go to a church where it teaches you things that are going to, that are not true. I cannot, I will not, God will not send you to a church that teaches you, that God makes you sick to teach you a lesson, and God wants you poor because that’s humility, and God this and God that. I’m telling you, you need to go to a church that teaches you, preaches Good News because God is good and God is great and He wants you out of the world’s system and in His Kingdom of Light. Seeking first His Kingdom and His ways of being and doing, right. So, that everything can be right with you and right with Him and it’s all good and it’s all great. But there were God’s people who didn’t want to be delivered out of the world’s system, so I’m going to show you now, in Exodus three verse seven to nine, the Amplified Bible. So, we are supposed to be experiencing you and I, together, where we are planted, all the Good News that keeps coming to us every Sunday, we are supposed to move with the Good News, believe the Good News every time and move, deeper and deeper into possessing our promised land. I got some more, I got some more possessions. This is happening inside of me spiritually, I am possessing who I should be, but it is also happening on the outside of me; it is also happening on the outside of me, houses, lands, increase, land, milk, honey, Glory to God. So, the Lord says this in verse seven, 7 I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors; I know their sorrows and sufferings and trials. 8And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand and power of the Egyptians or the world-system, and to bring them up out of that land to a land good and large, a land flowing with milk and honey, that’s the kingdom of God people. A land of plenty, verse nine, 9 Now behold, the cry of My people, the cry of the Israelites has come to Me, and I have seen how the Egyptians oppress them (Exodus 3:7-9 AMPC). I have seen how the wicked evil system, oppresses them. After this God does wonders for them right? He brings them out, all the plagues that come upon Egypt, none of it comes upon them. Then they go out with all the spoils of Egypt, then they get to the Red Sea, God opens up the Red Sea, they go through on dry land and then Moses says, after that. I am giving you sequence. After that Moses says, He sends out seven spies to the Promised Land. “Go and spy out the land”. Right. Look at the report, Numbers 13:27-28. They come back with the report now, they’ve been to spy out the land. 27 They told Moses, We came to the land to which you sent us; surely it flows with milk and honey. This is its fruit, because they’ve got all these grapes and they had to carry it on these poles, you’ve all seen the pictures. 28 But the people who dwell there are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, there we saw the sons of Anak [of great stature and courage]. (Numbers 13:27-28, AMPC). Okay, Moses, but we must tell you the land is good, but the people are too strong. The people in the world-system are very strong and they are very great, they are too strong and too great for God. They are too strong and great for God. God can’t, He can’t bring us in there. The God that hasn’t seen how strong and great they are. I don’t know what He was thinking saying to us “He’s taking us in there. They hardened their hearts towards God, they refused to believe, they refused God’s deliverance and chose Egypt in their hearts. Now we’re going to have a look at this. Numbers 11:4-6, look what they did after this. 4 And the mixed multitude among them [the rabble who followed Israel from Egypt] began to lust greatly [for familiar and dainty food], I like the way things were in the world-system, in Egypt. The way things work for me there. and the Israelites wept again and said, Who will give us meat to eat? 5 We remember the fish we are freely in Egypt and without cost, the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic. 6 But now our soul (our strength) is dried up; there is nothing at all [in the way of food] to be seen but this manna. (Numbers 11:4-6, AMPC). Do you know what they were saying, “God’s given me a promise of deliverance, given us a promise of deliverance but my circumstances are too strong, the world-system is too strong for God to deliver me out of it? All I hear every Sunday from Pastor John is manna, manna, manna. Believe God’s promises, believe, believe the prophetic word. All I get is manna, manna, manna. Supernatural increase, supernatural increase. It’s all I hear is manna, manna, manna. Supernatural increase, what? Extraordinary greatness of my God. Manifestations of my God. What? I was making it better when I was more in the world-system than to come out, into a place like this of trusting God like Abraham.” It says in the book of Hebrews, He went out only on a promise. He didn’t even know where he was going. He only had a promise. Well, that’s how Pastor John and I travel. We don’t know where we’re going, but God chose every step of the way. God, you think God didn’t make our emotions, you think that didn’t touch the heart of God, when He said I rained manna. He talks about it in the book of Psalms. God, He says, I rained manna down from heaven for them, the corn of heaven, I gave them Angels food. They didn’t want it. They had enough of it. “We want meat, we want some flesh, we want, we want, we want. Their flesh wanted. Numbers 14 verse 1 to 5. Let’s look at this. God is writing this to us, the Bible says as an example to us, that we don’t do what they did. 1 And all the congregation cried out with a loud voice, and [they] wept that night. 2 And all the Israelites grumbled and deplored their situation, accusing Moses and Aaron, to whom the whole congregation said, Would that we had died in Egypt! Or that we had died in this wilderness! 3 Why does the Lord bring us to this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and little ones will be a prey. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt? 4 And they said one to another, Let us choose a captain and return to Egypt. (Numbers 14:1-5, AMPC). Numbers 14:6-10, 6And Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among the scouts who had searched the land, rent their clothes, You see, they were two of the spies, they came back and they said to everybody, “We can take it. These things, this that looks like giants to you, they are bread for us.”Why? Because He’s a great, big God. 7And they said to all the company of Israelites, The land through which we passed as scouts is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. That’s abundance, that’s, supernatural increase for you spiritually. That’s, supernatural increase for you physically, it’s for your strength, it’s for your days. As your days are so shall your strength be. Your strength, like iron, as long as you live because the Holy Spirit is a stream of divine life that flows through your body. He is your health. That word Jehovah Rapha means, He is your health, He is your healing, for you to walk in divine health because you believe. You believe that by the stripes of Jesus, I was healed. You resist the enemy when he comes to touch your body with sickness. 8…Exceedingly good land. He will give us a land flowing with milk and honey. Verse 9, 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land. Why are you impressed? Why do we get impressed with people in the world-system? We think they’re so great. We think they are so great, when they are nothing. You think people that are without God, that have money are something, they are nothing. You think people that are rich and famous are something, they are nothing. They are in the wicked world-system, they are part until they get born again because they hear the Gospel and they decide they want to choose Jesus, they are part of the wicked. Ah, I see you looking at me like I crawled out of a piece of stink kaas, stinky cheese. Okay. Now I’m going to show you, now I’m going to show you scripture. Right. All right. I’ve got plenty of scriptures for that, but let me get the best one here, Lord, cause God says, “Come out of Babylon, come out of that world-system.” Ha, okay. Look at this, 2 Timothy 3 verses 1 to 5. This is what we are living in. This is what the wicked world-system looks like. 1 But understand this, that in the last times, or in the last days, will come (set in), it’s already set in, perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. 2 For people, people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), they don’t care about God. They feel nothing for God. They give God no glory. They give Him no place, though they know about Jesus. Many of them have heard about Jesus, they pass Him by. They say that there is no God and they think that they are wise. Look at this, (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, and profane. This is scripture people. 3[They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement), [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, Why would you want to be loose in morals and conduct? Because your flesh wants to be immoral, but that is what Jesus came to deliver me from. Glory, glory. I delight in morality in my inner man. Glory. I want to be pure and clean inside like Jesus. I want to be like Jesus inside, inside me. So, loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. 4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. For although they hold a form of piety. Oh, you bump into some of those people who find out that you are moral, but not because you’re comparing, just because you have chosen, you have chosen Jesus, and to be like Him, in your journey on the earth. And they are all like oh.. When they find out, oh, you are one of those… and I too, you know and I so, God says, He sees through all that, 5 they hold a form of piety, but they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it, to change you. The power of Christ’s life living in you, for you to overcome everything that is in the world. Glory to God. (their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession). Avoid such people (2 Timothy 3:1-4, AMPC). Look at what the Passion Translation says about these kinds of people, in case you didn’t think the world is wicked, the world is wicked. 1 You need to be aware that in the final days, this is in the Passion Translation, the culture of society will become extremely fierce, and difficult for the people of God. you see, for these things to not creep into you, you got to be spiritual, otherwise they already crept in you. You have no defence against the wickedness of the world-system if you’re not choosing Jesus everyday for your life and His ways, you have no defence, it has already crept in. Your only defence is Jesus and the Holy work of the Holy Spirit in your heart. I dont go from immoral to moral in my own strength, I go there with my own relationship with Jesus, inside the Holy Spirit helping me, helping me to become like Jesus. Cleansing me because I am yielding to His discipline. I am yielding to His instruction. I am looking in His Word. I am listening for His voice. I am planted in His church. I am listening to the messengers. I keep my foot in the messages. I am going to the scriptures, I am believing, I am receiving like a little child. Hallelujah. Now, I have got to stop there, I have got to stop right there. I am going to just finish with this. They will boast of great things, people will be self-centered, lovers of themselves, obsessed with money, you don’t have a lot of money to be obsessed with it, poor people are obsessed with it, and God has a way in His Kingdom, to have abundance. Okay. They ignore their families, they boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride, mock all that is right, they mock us for loving Jesus and choosing Jesus. Carnal Christians will mock you, for wanting to walk in the light and wanting to be Jesus’s disciple. Jesus said the world will hate you, if you are my disciple. So, why do you love the world and why do they love you? Okay, I am done. Pastor Garth, will you come and play that song please? The Holy Spirit has given us a song, and I want us to give Him all the glory for it, right? Before we even hear it. The Holy Spirit has given us a song, because Pastor John prophesied under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that the sounds of Heritage songs, the sounds will go out into our hearts, pierce and penetrate us and take unworldliness, ungodliness, God is going to use it to help, as part of what is going to help us to take the love of the world out, to get Egypt out of us, you see, to get Babylon out of us, so we can be free and we can walk in the Kingdom of Light. He has given us this song, and it is a beginning today for you. Because now everytime I come to minister, God will take the children, God will take the children in. We are going to listen to the song, and allow it to just wash your soul, wash, wash, wash. It is not for you to sing, though you see the words, Pastor Garth is going to sing it under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. [Pastor Garth sings: I Choose to Love Him] In a world where many follow their own way They ignore their creator and live for personal gain Though men see in creation in truth there is a God They make up their own theories and stumble in the dark And it seems like the wicked prosper in their ways As they fill their lives with pleasures and distractions of this age And they boast in their great things as they lift themselves in pride They’re slaves to their desires and they hate what’s good and right The prince of this world he leads mankind astray He blinds the minds of people as they live from day to day Though men hear about Jesus but they choose to pass Him by They say that there is no God and think that they are wise I choose to love Him I choose to serve Him I choose to humble myself under His mighty hand always I choose to love Him I choose to know Him I choose to worship and fear Him and follow Him all of my days I choose Jesus x 3 Always Oh how long will the wicked be free to speak their minds And to go uncontested spreading satan’s lies And how long will God’s people be content to just stand by When everything created belongs to Jesus Christ I choose to love Him I choose to serve Him I choose to humble myself under His mighty hand always I choose to love Him I choose to know Him I choose to worship and fear Him and follow Him all of my days I choose Jesus I choose Jesus He is my King, He is my Lord Master of all Hallelujah. Choose Him, choose Him today child of God, choose Him today. Choose Him today. In this way, you love Him and serve Him and know Him and fear Him and follow Him all of your days. Choose Him, choose Jesus today child of God, Hallelujah, choose Him today and always, Hallelujah. Choose Him. I pray for you today, that these words and these scriptures that God has let me bring you today, that they will speak to your heart during this week, and that the sound of the words of the song will wash in you that you will hear it even in your spirit during the week, and you will want to go, when there is no music, I choose Jesus. I choose to love Him, that you will just find yourself, I choose to love Him, that is what God is washing you and drawing you to Jesus, I speak to children of God today. I speak to you child of God. The Word and the blood of Jesus surround you and your family and your children and protect you. We all say; amen. God bless you. 06 September 2020 I Will Take The Children Part 2 – Session 3 Ps Sharon Bendixen (WTB) Scripture reference: Matthew 18:1-4 KJV, Colossians 1:12-14 KJV, Colossians 1:13 AMPC, Galatians 1:4 NLT, Galatians 1:4 CJB, John 3:16-17 AMPC, 1 John 2:15 AMPC, 1 John 2:15-17 TPT, Galatians 5:16-24 AMPC Oh, praise the Lord. Glory to God. You see, that is how you rejoice. That’s how you rejoice. I mean, I do it in my car, I do it in my car, I do it in my bathroom, I do it when I’m walking around my house, I do it in my prayer room, on my prayer chair, you know, I do it. Because I know that the joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Well, a great God, a great God and a good God. This is part of my series that, I know I was busy with something else, but the Lord laid it on my heart to begin to start the series and I started in Johannesburg. When Pastor John was listening to my messages, he was listening and listening and listening to these messages and he said, “Start to bring this to Witbank as well.” He said, “I know it will come out differently when you bring it, because the two churches are very different, they are in different cities, they have different things to contend with, they have different… It is just like that, even though Pastor John, who is in our Johannesburg church this morning, even though he brings a message that’s the same there as here, it doesn’t come out the same way because we do earnestly desire to be led by the Holy Spirit while we are ministering. I must really just say it’s wonderful to have you, Sarah and Wynand and Eli. Little Eli with us, ahhhh, really, really, thank you for coming and blessing us today, being here with us. Praise the Lord. Their first born and we already love him and don’t leave anytime soon. So, God is a great God, He’s a good God and this series is called, I Will Take the Children. When I give you these scriptures today, you will see what God means by saying, “I will take the children,” because one of our key verses that I have been ministering to you, is Matthew 18. Right? Mathew 18, unless you become some people, some disciples were asking Jesus, Matthew 18, 2 to 4 and I will read it from King James this morning, verse 1, if we can go to verse 1, 1 …Who is the greatest in the kingdom? Okay, obviously talking about the Kingdom of God, so bringing the worldly ways of thinking into the Kingdom ways of thinking. So, who’s going to be the greatest? In the Kingdom of God you know, who’s the smartest, who’s got the best this, who got the highest marks? All of that we get from the world-system. It doesn’t work like that in God’s Kingdom. Right. Jesus answers them by doing this; 2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, so this wasn’t a baby, this was a little child, that could walk, set him in the midst of them, 3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, now that word in the Amplified Bible says, unless you be changed, unless you change. You change inside, unless you be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Now if you’re born again, and Jesus is your Lord, you’ve already been translated into the Kingdom of God. Allright? You’re already there, but that doesn’t mean you’re entering. Because you enter something means I’m going into this place. Jesus is saying, “You can’t come into this place of the Kingdom of God, except you become like a little child,” and He’s not talking here about childishness. He’s talking about childlikeness, where the child trusts, the child listens, the child is believing what is being said. The child is made to be receiving instruction and discipline. All of the wonderful childlike qualities; to learn, to want to learn and to want to hear, beautiful. 4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself, verse 4 says, as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:1-4 KJV) 4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself. That was a word that was used of Jesus and it says, “And Jesus humbled Himself,” so there’s a quality of childlikeness that’s in Jesus. It says, He humbled Himself and was utterly obedient. So obedience to His Word, obedience to His ways. Okay? Now, I’m reading this scripture to you to show you in Colossians 1 verses 12 to 14, King James, 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, I want you to see that you have been delivered from the power of darkness. You may not have received your deliverance from the power of darkness, but you have been delivered from any and every darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. (Colossians 1:12-14 KJV) When you got born again you got translated from the kingdom of darkness, from the power of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son. Now, the way you get free is to enter in like a little child. See that? So, look at what the Amplified Bible says of verse 13, 13[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. (Colossians 1:13 AMPC) You have to see that there is a kingdom of darkness and there is a kingdom of His Son. Right? The Bible calls the kingdom of darkness, we can call it Egypt, we can call it Babylon, the Bible calls it that, you can call it the world-system. It says in Galatians 1:4 in the New Living Translation, 4Jesus gave his life for our sins, sins are twisted ways. Ways in which you walk in life that are not God’s ways. So, 4Jesus gave His life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. (Galatians 1:4 NTL) Can you see that God says that the world in which you live is evil? The world in which you live is evil. Now look at what the Christian Jewish Bible says with this verse; 4who gave himself for our sins, so that he might deliver us from the present evil world-system, (Galatians 1:4 CJB) Right, interesting. You need to think about that. The present world is evil and it’s wicked. So, here’s John 3:16 and 17 from the Amplified. Now, how does God feel about the world, the people in the world. He does not love the world-system because Satan is the god of this world. 2 Corinthians 4:4, the scripture says, Satan is the god of this world. 16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. Look at verse 17; 17For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, which means the people in the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. (John 3:16-17 AMPC) When we follow the prince of the power of the air, when we follow Satan who is the god of this world, it leads to destruction because even though he’s got trappings and trimmings and false glamour and glitter in the world-system, it’s to bait you to get you to kill you. He’s the thief, he’s a liar, he’s a murderer, and he comes to steal, kill and destroy and that is what the Bible says about him, who is the god of this world-system. So then in 1 John 2 verse 15 the Amplified Bible says, 15Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. (1John 2:15 AMPC) But John 3:16 says God so loved the world. No, God so loved the people in the world. Like I said earlier on; there’s nothing in the world-system because there is the kingdom of God and there is the world-system. We’ve been translated out of this darkness into the kingdom of His Son. There is nothing about the world-system that God looks at and goes, “Oh, you so smart there I wish I’d thought of that.” There is nothing in the world-system; in the financial, in the health, in the education, anything that the world-system has set up, there’s nothing there that has got God’s smarts in it. God did not create it. Now you’re in the world but God will help you to live in the world to not be of it. Right? That’s where you walk with Him in your heart, where He helps you to not be of it. So He says here; 15 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15 AMPC) Look at the Passion Translation 1 John 2:15 to 17, 15Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. 16For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh, (1 John 2:15-17 TPT) what is your flesh? It is your carnal nature, that part of you that is carnal and it’s without God; that wants to do what it wants to do. I want to say what I want to say, I want to do what I want to do and that is your willful, carnal, fleshly nature. And let me show you what kind of things it wants to do. Alright, I’m going to go to Galatians chapter 5, in the Amplified Bible, to show you what your flesh and my flesh wants to do. It wants to do what it wants to do and that’s what Jesus came to deliver us from, remember? We have victory over all of our flesh when we are spiritual and we move into His Kingdom and we move into His Word and we’re like a little child and we’re learning and we’re trusting and we’re hearing and we’re obeying and we’re believing and we’re hearing and trusting and we’re believing and we’re obeying and we’re entering into the Kingdom, deeper into the Kingdom, seeking first His Kingdom and His ways of being and doing right and all other things been added to us all the time. Right? But your flesh doesn’t want to live like that. Your flesh doesn’t want to have conversations with God. Your flesh does not want the Holy Spirit to put His finger on anything in your life that you love. Your flesh doesn’t want that. Leave that alone; I love that, I like to do that. So many times God’s people don’t want to come and know Him and have deep fellowship with Him in case He might do that, because they’re already chosen, “I love that and just leave me because I know when I die I’m going to heaven.” So, it says here in the Amplified Bible verse 16, let’s go to verse 16 in Galatians 5. 16I say, this is what the Spirit of God says to us, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit, or with the Holy Spirit, [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh What is that? Your (human nature without God). 17 For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do. 18But if you are guided (led) by the [Holy] Spirit, you are not subject to the law. (Galatians 5:16-18 AMPC) You see why you have to. You have no choice, if you want to grow, to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit who lives inside you. You don’t have fellowship with the Holy Spirit through the Word of God when you’re reading the Word of God, through the messages when you’re coming on a Sunday, through developing holy conversations with Him and wanting to know Him and wanting Him to do His work in you, you’re not going to grow. You’re not going to grow in a different way to what I have to grow. There’s no special way that I mature spiritually that you don’t know about. I’m mature and I grow spiritually because I come to Him. I take time to come to Him, to go, just sit like a little child coming to his Father saying, “Lord, Lord, I believe what Your Word says, Your Holy Spirit lives in me and I’m coming to talk to You.” And I may not feel anything, that means nothing to me – I believe God’s Word. The feelings will begin to follow because you will begin to have the stirrings of the Holy Spirit inside you. He’ll work with you, but you have to get to know Him and how He moves in you and talks to you when you’re reading His Word. Oh, this is You, yes. Jy moet daai verhouding met Hom aanknoop (You must develop that relationship with Him). You have to if you’re going to grow. You have to develop that relationship with the Holy Spirit, that’s why He lives inside you, it’s what He’s there for inside you. Imagine; He lives inside you all your life and you never ever develop that relationship with Him that the Bible says you should and could and can, that He longs for. You see, your boldness to develop that kind of relationship doesn’t depend on your performance of how good or bad you’ve been. You go to the Holy Spirit through the Blood, on the basis of the blood that Jesus shed for you that makes you worthy to have that rich conversation and communion with Him. Rich, it can be so rich. He loves you. The Holy Spirit, who lives in you, loves you. How can you say that? Because He’s God the Spirit. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Who is part of the Triune Godhead that lives in you? The Holy Spirit. Jesus told His disciples in the book of John 14; I must go away, because if I go away, you don’t understand who’s coming. The Holy Spirit is coming to live in you and it says He’s coming to be in close fellowship with you and He’s going to declare and disclose and transmit and reveal things to you, He’s going to bring correction to you, He’s going to bring discipline to you, He’s going to convict you, He’s going to convince you, He’s going to lead you, He’s going to love you, He’s going to be like Me. That’s what Jesus said to the disciples; I’m going to send you another One, another Comforter because I’ve been with you for three and a half years and I’ve been your Comforter and I’ve been the One that’s loved you and encouraged you and ministered to you and you’ve gotten to know the Father through Me but I’m going to send you another One, like Me. The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are One. They’re all God; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – three in one. Glory to God. And the One now, that lives on the day of Pentecost, He came. Jesus asked the Father to send the Holy Spirit. He’s the One that moved in you to be born again, He’s the One, He is that One, and you can develop that relationship. He’s like; come, come, come, come, come. You were born again for this, you were born for this to have this relationship with Me. You were born for it, you were born for it. Come, come. That’s why I am so, I’m so… He’s given us so much when He gave us the Holy Spirit. You got the Holy Spirit living in you when you got born again but then there’s the subsequent infilling of the Holy Spirit where He gives you your heavenly language. If you believe what the Bible says about that and so often my mind is going all over the place and I really want to talk to Him and I really want to move but my mind is going and my emotions are going and then I can come to Him and I can go, Oh Lord, and my spirit can speak; [Pastor Sharon speaking in tongues]. You see, that’s my spirit. 1 Corinthians 14 says he that speaks in an unknown tongue doesn’t speak to man, he speaks to God. In the spirit he speaks. It says your spirit speaks, your spirit speaks to God, your spirit speaks to the Father. So many times I can’t even speak in my natural language because there is stuff and there is this and there’s that and I might have been at a place where I’m coming so down on myself about things and I’m not going to allow that to affect my relationship with God. So I come to Him with my heavenly language. Sometimes I come to Him with a song, put on a song, I come to Him. But He’s given us so many things to come to Him with, sometimes I open a Psalm in the Bible. You know what I mean? There’s so many things, ways we’ve got to develop this relationship with the Holy Spirit. Learn to be led by the Holy Spirit. You can, you can. You can have a working relationship with Him, He’s your heavenly Holy Helper. Glory to God. He wants to help you. The desires of the flesh, look at what your flesh wants to do; 19 they are immorality, your flesh wants to be immoral, like people in the world, they want to sleep around, they want to, you know, they want to be immoral. They want to do things that they shouldn’t be doing, you know better because those things in the end will hurt you. 19…immorality, impurity, indecency, 20Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, where you want to fight with people, strife, you want to argue, jealousy, you want what others have, anger (ill temper), you just want to be angry and just have your say, selfishness, and look at verse 21. 21Envy, drunkenness, I just like to get drunk, that’s your flesh, party, carousing, and the like. But the fruit, verse 22, 22But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, 23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. 24And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires. (Galatians 5:19-23 AMPC) Isn’t that beautiful? So, that’s something that you develop to walk in. You don’t walk perfectly in that but that’s something that you must desire to want to walk in and to push into your relationship with the Holy Spirit so that He can help you. I don’t want to love these things of the world, Lord. I don’t want to love them. I don’t want to love it. Because here’s the Passion Translation again, in 1 John 2:15-17 and then I’m going to finish off with this; 15Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. 16For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance, see what the world does to you? Makes you obsessed with status and importance so that you compare yourself with other people and you live in the torment of comparison to other people. It’s a torment and then you slander other people and you talk about them and you bring them down and then you continue to live because you live the torment of comparison, you talk about other people, you slander and that keeps you in your own comparison trap. See? Look at this; …obsession with status and importance—none of these things come from the Father but from the world. Oh I thank You, Lord. 17This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. (1 John 2:15-17 TPT) Glory to God. Isn’t that beautiful? So, you just let these scriptures minister to your heart. Okay? That’s what you must do. You must never allow Satan to condemn you while you’re reading scripture. He likes to do that. The Holy Spirit wants to enlighten you and set you free through scripture but the devil knows when you read your Bible. “Oh, she’s going to read that and if she gets that from the Spirit of God, she’s going to be free.” So, he’ll come to your mind with condemnation, make you feel so guilty and so bad because you see this beautiful life you can live and he’ll tell you, “You can’t, you can’t, you can’t.” But actually you can. So, beware of that. That came out of my spirit now, I’ve never ever said this before. When you are reading scripture for yourself, beware of the enemy that wants to come from without to tell you, “You see, how bad you are. You’re none of these things. You do all of these things.” When actually what you should be doing is pressing into the scriptures so that the Holy Spirit can help you. Because He does a completely different thing in you while you’re reading scriptures to what the enemy wants to do. The Holy Spirit works from within, in your heart, to help you overcome. The enemy comes from without. Condemn, condemn, accuse, accuse. Watch out for that. Now, we’re going to have a beautiful song and Pastor Garth is going to come and sing it and the Holy Spirit gave it. The Holy Spirit gave this song because do you remember Pastor John prophesied and said that the sounds and the songs of Heritage of Faith, he prophesied and said, “They will permeate and they will penetrate us and they will cause our hard hearts to become soft. They will bring us to Jesus.” I’m speaking to born-again Christians that need to be brought closer to Jesus, right? And if Jesus is not your Lord, you can come and speak to us afterwards, you can come speak to myself or to Pastor Garth or to Pastor Christi and we will lead you to Jesus. But today, I’m speaking to born-again believers that Jesus wants you coming closer to Him. He wants you to choose Him. He wants you to not love the world and the things that are in the world. Hallelujah. So, all of the words of this song that the Holy Spirit gave, are from scripture. I haven’t gotten to all the scriptures yet but I will. And here we go, let the song minister to you, it’s not a song for you to sing, you can see the words or you can close your eyes but it’s the anointing that’s going to work in you as you listen. Thank you, Pastor Garth. [Pastor Garth sings: I Choose to Love Him] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So do that today; choose Jesus today. When you wake up tomorrow morning, choose Jesus for the day and Tuesday morning, choose Him all day and Wednesday, choose Jesus. You know you want to, so then do. Just choose Him. Hallelujah. I pray for you that this will be a day, today, for you where you will hear these words and these sounds rolling around in your spirit; I choose to love Him. You’ll just hear those words and you’ll say; I choose to love Him, I choose to love Him. Even if that’s all you remember about this song. When the Lord first gave, just that, that’s what He gave first was; I choose to love Him and then that melody. I choose to love Him. I choose to love Him. That was the first. I choose to love Him. I choose to love Him. We didn’t have the rest of the song, just that; I choose to love Him. Can you hear how that will resound in you this week? I choose to love Him. Let it resound in you. Allow the Holy Spirit to bring it up in you. I choose to love Him. Hallelujah. We’ll be singing this song, Pastor Garth will be singing this song as I bring these messages to you and then we will just marinate, we’ll just marinate, we’ll just let it bring us to a purity, bring us away from loving the world, bring us out of Babylon, bring us out of Egypt, because that’s God’s best way to do it; is to woo us out, love us out. Come, come, come. So, may you have a week of love like this with Jesus. I bless you. I bless you. I give you today, I commend you to this word, these scriptures that I read and to this song that is going to resound in you this whole week. Pastor John and I love you, but nothing like Jesus loves you – nothing. There’s no love like His. Phew… Who wants to go home? Not me. You must train yourself, when you leave and you’ve been in this atmosphere, just to guard it and carry it with you and not let it just go out with some casual joke that you’ll talk, you know, but just that we can walk out of a service like this as a people and I can look at you and know you’ve been in the same place as me; you want to love Him like I do, you want to choose Him like me. I bless you in that and you bless me in that. So I say to all of you, my brothers and my sisters, choose Jesus. Choose Jesus. I’ll be choosing Him with you. Have a wonderful day, whatever you’ll be doing, have a wonderful, marvelous day. May the Word and the blood of Jesus protect you, surround you and especially the sound in your heart; that you’ll hear it even though there may be no instruments, you’ll just hear it. Glory to God. We should have a table around here and we can just banquet. We’ll eat and have Sunday lunch and we’ll just say, “Play, Pastor Garth.” Just keep playing and we’ll just sit and eat and smile. Isn’t that wonderful? This is what His presence is; what we’re all experiencing here now, it’s His presence. And you can have that and develop that between you and Him in a day, in a very ordinary day, that seems so ordinary and you just reach on the inside of you, your spirit, you reach to the Holy Spirit. Because when you touch the Holy Spirit, God the Spirit, you touch the Father and Jesus. Hmm-mmm. I choose to love Him. [Pastor Garth sings] There’s no way to end a gathering and an assembling of the saints like this, there’s no way to end it, but to just say; God bless you. Go into your bright week with Jesus. Bye-bye everybody.
